I love how your kids are watching you and even helping keep you on the straight and narrow! I am totally trying to cut corners where I can. First and foremost because things are EXPENSIVE and yes, things are breaking! (First day of our stay cation a pipe in our sewer lines in the basement failed) We also talk about how we shouldn't be so tight with spending at this age. Our late 2022 into 2023 was our '2008'. We had just bought this house and made a calculated risk with our savings.....leaving us a small savings. Enter an injury and my husband not working or having any income for 6 months coupled with the $1100 deductible that we had to meet in 2022 AND 2023 since his medical care straddled both years. (and yes, I pay for the best insurance option my work offers) . So I hear ya...I try to personally be low spend and trying to cut out of my grocery budget! It's so darn hard with the groceries though!

Mary Fran it is sooo expensive lately, especially here in AZ, I think and feel at least compared to Ohio. I know how it feels going without an income, I was in the same boat after my surgery three months ago, but the silver lining is that we are making our way out of all this and heading for better days. I hope your husband is doing well now, and your property is gorgeous
