@@Lisa____ right because the whole interview was done so beautifully. I like how the host shared her past with her family (mom and brother). It’s just about her Aunt’s and the family name but it’s about her healing and the process it took for her to heal. She just happened to be a Braxton. But her story is so relatable to many of us. And because she is a Braxton, her story is bring light to this topic or mental health and how to heal.

I really commend Ashlee for being brave to share her experiences of childhood trauma & her journey of healing. She is to be applauded for her resiliency & overcoming addiction. No matter how famous & talented her family is; it doesn't diminish the truth that there are family secrets, trauma, dysfunction, patterns, etc. that have significantly impacted the Braxton siblings & then the next generation. Michael, Jr. presents as so mild mannered that it can be challenging to believe that he was a perpetrator of intimate partner violence. 🥺 Perhaps, this was one of the contributing factors as to why Ashlee & Lauren's mother abandon them. I'm glad that Ashlee has the support of most of her paternal aunts despite her parents not being accountable & doing the work to heal & reconcile the relationship with her. Continue to spread your wings & soar Ashley!!

It's crazy that all the Braxton siblings have such chaotic married/family lives. Finally, what Ashlee reveals about her life and her father connects with what we've seen of her aunts, grandmother and grandfather. It feels like the reason Mike was so abusive to his wives was because he had a lot of anger towards his mother from childhood, for the way she treated his father in the household. In fact, he and Traci are the only ones who have remained close to their father and I've always wondered why, as the only son in the family, he wasn't Mama's favourite.

I’m confused as to how the blame is being placed on the Mom when the dad is the one who cheated with a family friend and church member and left his wife and kids to fend for themselves… how exactly is this being blamed on Ms E??
@mama_africa47328 күн бұрын
@@4mydaughtas It’s not about blaming the mom, but let’s not ignore what Michael Sr. himself said-he was miserable in his marriage, and Mrs. E wasn’t perfect either. Do you really think men cheat and destroy their families just because they want to? Sure, some do, but others use it as a (toxic) way to retaliate or cope with deeper issues in the relationship. You can get a sense of what their dynamic might have been like by looking at Trina and Gabe’s relationship. Trina was verbally abusive and emasculated Gabe, while he was a serial cheater who chose to stay silent rather than respond to her insults. He responded by having s*x with random women…
@Aliasss28 күн бұрын
It’s amazing how you just created a whole narrative, and ran with it as if it’s fact. You have no idea how the mom “treated the dad” during their relationship, because that’s never been spoken about. You also have no idea what caused Ashlee’s father to be abusive, because that also wasn’t divulged here. Yet, you just created your own theory & cast ALL the blame on the mom. You people are something else 😣
@Aliasss28 күн бұрын
@@mama_africa473 Michael Sr stating that he was “miserable in his marriage” could have meant a number of things. Maybe she wasn’t affectionate. Maybe she gave him the silent treatment. Maybe it wasn’t enough sex. We don’t know. You can’t just jump to the conclusion that she “treated” him in a way that would result in her son becoming abusive. Come on 🙄 What if the son witnessed the FATHER abusing the MOTHER? 🤷🏻♀️ We don’t know, so we can’t just jump to blame that lady.

This is a joke. Nothing about childhood trauma whatsoever.

Who said anything about trauma? The word trauma mentioned in the title or description. And since childhood abuse isn’t in any way amusing, it looks like your opinion is the only joke around here.

@@peoplebuilding Well I’m sure the trauma exists….

Lies. X abus3 is a tr@umatic experience and causes tr@uma to the vi*tim m3ntally, 3motionally, in some cases physically. If you can can't understand that you need to check your heart and do some research.

If less than half is completely true, that’s bad enough. It’s interesting that this is funny to you. I think that probably says more about you than it does about any potential falsehoods.

I’m her brother so you sound really dumb for Believing anything without fact checking or finding a second person for your basis before shaming someone on the internet . Your the fake news . Your the problem . That’s why your channel has gotten no traction

@@michaelbraxton8369 if you're her brother than she has nothing but my sympathy. She has a right to HER story, and to her testimony. Anyway aren't you much younger than her? You probably weren't even aware of all of the abuse. She even says that you all don't have a relationship, so it's clear you would be invested in discrediting her.
@supernova28972 жыл бұрын
@Michael Braxton Michael, pls understand that two children in the very same household can have very different experiences. Your sister mentioned in the beginning that you do not have a relationship. Your comments here just prove her statements in the affirmative.

So the aunt’s husband she speaks about recently on her TikTok about an inappropriate texting when she was 16 has to be Towand’s or Trina’s. In the interview she mentioned working Vince when she was 18, she mentioned working for Toni in her 20’s and then going back home and building a relationship with her aunt. Only Aunt lived in Maryland was Tracy. Everyone on social media thinks it’s Trina’s ex husband Gabe.

Ashlee I thank God for first of all for covering you with the blood of Jesus. My heart goes out to what you had to endure. But look at God. You’re a very inspiring young lady to be on a platform to reach people who are going through similar situations. You’re such a blessing to other’s. To God be the glory. Psalm 121. “ I will lift up mines eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even evermore.” Love❤ you sweetie. Remember to meditate on God Word day and night and praying without ceasing. You are loved ❤.
