Can completely relate and I'm only 3 minutes in lol. When you said that you had to wear earplugs in preschool I was like no way because I did the SAME THING. I even requested to be exempt from Chapel on Fridays (and got the exemption) because all the kids yelling "good morning" to the pastor drove me nuts. So I would sit in the classroom alone and work on my writing skills under low lighting which was really enjoyable tbh. I don't wear earplugs anymore but when I use an industrial toilet I still have to hold my ears in the stall because it's so loud. Edit: I just finished the video and I don't think I've related to so many experiences as I have since watching your video. Just about every one of your points are pretty much EXACTLY the same things I experienced growing up. Literally such a blessing that someone else went through a lot of the same stuff as me. I'm not diagnosed still (I'm going to turn 21 next month) but I am extremely suspicious. Also, your Garfield phase reminds me of my volcano phase at about the same age lol. For a few years I had birthday cakes that looked like volcanoes 😂

I’m 18 and self diagnosed autistic/adhd but still wonder how i got undiagnosed for so long when my parents always told me”your only problem is that ever since u were little u always formed obsessions over certain stuff”. Like when i was 4 i was so obsessed with daisy duck that i’d make duck noises all the time to prove i am a duck indeed. I was also obsessively collecting animals(stuffed animals little pet shop plastic animals books with animals knew every little thing about animals and was my main topic of discussion. Like i don’t remember much from my early childhood but i know i was excessively talking and obsessing over animals. I also tended to form certain obsessions with tv characters and adopt their whole personalities and talk like them which came across as bizzare and came as a weirdo. I complain about not havin friends growing up but i was unplayable with like throw huge meltdowns if i lost at Board games and only wanted to play my way(i had a scenario that kids had to execute or i’d lose it). I was also drawing obsessively and have always been a picky eater. And about literal thinking a guy at school pushed me and ripped my pants and my mom was like”he should buy another pair of pants” she said it jokingly and i went and told him”my mom told me buy me another pants” or when teacher asked two years ago”who play any sports in this class” i said”me” and she said what sport and i was like i go to the gym and she was like”i was talking about football tennis volley dance things u go in competitions” Now i haven’t changed much in terms of special interests(celebrity culture music game of thrones fashion animals) or mimicking characters but i am more lowkey now and lots of emotional outburts actually and still have them Unfortunately. I have terribly low pain tolerance barely can get a pimple out or waxing without freaking out(my cosmethologist always tells me i am really “fun”to work with bcuz i am always fidgeting and moving)

Wow my friend, I can empathize with you here! It’s crazy to look back on our childhoods and realize how many signs there were!

Jordi this was so interesting and it actually made me realize a few things that I never connected to being an autistic person even though I was diagnosed when I was 10. I was always a pretty outgoing kid but your descriptions on extreme empathy and loud noises are still relatable to me to this day. I hide out before movies at a movie theater because the commercials before them are always way too loud.

I’m so glad you enjoyed this! And oh my gosh YES those commercials are always so loud!! I usually bring earplugs with me to the movie theatre, and that helps me a lot!
