I remember when I was a kid, every piece of Spider-Man merchandise I ever saw had your artwork on it, specifically the Spider-Sense Spider-Man branding (though sometimes it said The Amazing Spider-Man instead). Every puzzle, toy, colouring book, Halloween costumes... when I think of Spider-Man, my mind immediately goes to that artwork of the character. By far your art of the character is my favourite, and that includes how he looks in the live-action movies. You defined an entire generation's mental image of the character and I'm absolutely shocked that you're not more well known.

Wow, thank you so much for saying that! Marvel never let me out my signature on any of the merchandise art, so I was working anonymously for about 15 years. I really appreciate your comment.

I still have some posters of your Marvel art when I was a kid. That big one with every Marvel character and Spider-man front and center (as he should be) introduced me to a lot of other Marvel characters I've never seen before. I was born in 1999 so those 2000s artworks of yours were my childhood. On my school notebooks, my backpacks, my stickers, my posters, my shirts. Spidey is still to this day my favorite fictional character ever. I can't think of anyone who deserves an Amazing Fantasy #15 more than you do. Enjoy it, sir!

Whenever someone says Spider-Man, your art is what I think of. Its my definitive look for him. The fact you made no alterations to his suit and it is considered one of his best looks speaks volumes of your talent. Its a pure classic Spider-Man that is about as spiderman as you can get

When I was a kid, my parents used to take me to buy bags.I was a big Spider-Man fan back then, just like today. When I looked at the bag, I saw a bag with your drawing in it, and I really liked it. My parents immediately bought me that bag and I used it for 5 years. I wanted to find out who made the Spider-Man picture in the bag when I was growing up.I then started researching this on Reddit, Google, and many other platforms.I finally found out who drew it...Thank you Scott for drawing my childhood Spider-Man!🤟🏻👏🏻

The best origin story I have seen, Scott. It was a pleasure hearing about your history. I started in 93 because of Joe Jusko's art in super-heroes and, like you, I fell off the hobby as I got older. When I came back, it was a tremendous experience. My road to AF 15 was very similar to yours and really hit home; I had to let go of a few keys to get it and I never regretted it. Fantastic vid!
