Yes, here too. I like the middle point between the renovations in 2012 and the modernisations in 2008. The new features and designs in 2012 are excellent, but I preferred the art style nearer the beginning.

this is gunna get lost in the comment section, but lemme tell ya i’ve had a grudge against whoever wrote those dang comics on the website before you logged in. i checked EVERY TIME i played for a new comic and now i realize that checking every single day isn’t very efficient, but that isn’t the point. the point is that one day those comics stopped and i’m STILL heartbroken. i started drawing club penguin comics because of those. i stapled twenty of my club penguin comics together and made a book of it to show to my friends cause i wasn’t getting any content from the website. had to make it myself smh

yeah.. we all miss toontown :( i’m really glad there’s ‘rewritten’ versions of these games, so we can still experience all these wonderful online worlds!! thank you so much for showing all of us this. club penguin was a huge part of my childhood. i vividly remember every time Coins for Change came around, i’d go and make as many coins as i could for every day it was up and donate all of them when i had to go to bed. i made a lot of friends on club penguin, some that i still talk to today!! nobody’d remember the name ‘penny93440’ after the game’s been gone for so long; but i’m glad i was able to meet so many nice people over a silly penguin game in the first place. thank you again for showing us. it’s a really nice look into how club penguin was made!

Instant sub. You literally helped craft a large part of my childhood. CP got me through so much trouble in life. I remember my cousins introduced me to the game and I fell in love with it. I was playing it a lot more than was probably healthy tbh however it helped me escape my crappy life at the time and I could put headphones in and ignore my parents fighting while I made friends and progressed my character. Thank you so much for your work. I am 23 now and hope to eventually get into some sort of animation as it has always been my dream. I haven't done art in a while because work and survival have taken precedence over that at the moment but seeing stuff like this makes me want to draw again and hopefully find that cathartic release I used to get.

I remember we were able to play an early concept of puffle bowling. It could have been one you helped create! There was a "secret" (but not really since all the blogs covered it) concept site that hosted multiple games and ideas. Even a penguin playercard redesign! We saw/played multiple concepts, but I believe only one was used in the end (and I believe it was pufflescape).

Sad considering club penguin really needed more mini games especially after 2013 when they just stopped doing it. SoundStudio was just a modern replacement to DJ3K, Card Jitsu Snow was planned years before, and Field Ops was basically forgotten about and stopped getting updates. It’s sad since there were so many good mini games they could’ve added, rather than make unneeded changes like removing the stage or adding rooms that I doubt most people used. The puffle park was supposed to have its own mini game but they never did anything with that sadly.

5:48 I just wanna say that those seasonal plants were easily my favorite furniture items as a kid. They blew my little mind and I thought they were so cool. it's so cool to see drawing of the game, I really do miss the original 2009-2012 CP, the CP team and all the great people. the actual hockey and soccer games people would do. Times when people actually did a play, the imaginary EPF missions and meetings. roleplaying different things, for the different types of party's. CP Rewritten is great but it's not the same as it once was, the things I mentioned I don't see much anymore. On another topic of CP I can play a bit of the CP Elite penguin force ds game Ski lodge music on the piano, I'm wondering if there is some where I can find how to play the beach theme. I only can play by ear and or watching videos of the note things raining down to the key. reason for this song is, it's a favorite of mine and my brother and I used to play the DS game a lot before getting CP accounts and we would be in the living room with the volume up, we must have been at the beach a lot because our Dad sometimes whistles the tune, and sometimes mentions it "remember when...", I been trying to pick it up but I'm having a hard time

Folks, this is Screenhog himself, he did a lot of the music and early art of Club Penguin, please check out the rest of this channel, it's really great. This game was absolutely my childhood, and actually got me back into drawing. That was in 2006. I was ten years old. I started with stick figure penguins, and then I never stopped, even when I got into other fandoms. I like to think I'm pretty alright at drawing by now. And that's all thanks to Club Penguin, for getting me started in the first place. I wish it never closed
