Very cool process! I’d love to see some more in depth details of your modelling + printing process! Where do you get your trays printed?
@itsxris Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I was like 70% through making this video when I realized the demand for the 3DP organization aspect haha, if there's enough demand I may just do a separate video on that aspect for every drawer here. I print them myself on a Bambulab X1 Carbon!
@Bombbeachh Жыл бұрын
@@itsxrisAwesome thanks!! I think it would be super cool and useful if you made a tutorial showing the whole process. Measuring an accessory, modelling it, designing the tray and printing etc. Big fan of your content!

I would love to! Problem is, my methods are probably not the "correct way" to do it, but I'd still share it for sure

@@itsxris if it’s working for you, I’m sure there’s a ton that people could learn and take away 🙂 The organization level of your setup is very inspiring btw!

Your setup is wayyyy better than the old one, I always found the black area weird because it was only usefull for "filming videos" hence not the best idea. Out of curiosity why do you move so much ? must be a headeach to move all those machines all around.

Real men of genius. Today we salute you, Mr. Mechanics Living Room coffee bar creator. Who else can convince his wife to allow a 9 drawer, solid steel, mechanics tool chest on wheels, right in the middle of ‘her’ living room and call it ... a coffee bar!

Thirstywhale uses the same thing for his home cocktail bar gadgets. Question. Why did you chose the Profitec 800 as your machine? I’m looking up upgrade and was considering that one among ecm, la marzocco micrA and other x change and dual boilers

That's genius! Awesome Video Xris. I've always wanted a coffeebar like this for myself. I want to have it more in the living space and not in the not so fancy kitchen as I think a good coffee setup can look really good and can be shown off in the living room e.g. My only issue is the access to the sink. I need the sink very frequently, especially when brewing espresso, that I don't know how to implement my ideas outside of the kitchen. The use of a coffee setup meters away from my sink would defeat it's purpose sadly. Didn't find a solution for that yet.
@itsxris Жыл бұрын
thank you! i agree, having a dedicated pitcher rinser would be sweet! there are ways to implement one with a 5-gal water jug as the source and a pump, but it wouldnt work with the husky workbench without some big mods

I almost bought a husky work bench myself, but I couldn't justify the cost. I got an Ikea Bror workbench instead.

@@OhHenrie1The husky workbenches are build ridiculously well. They are like 5x the weight of IKEA benches. Well worth the extra cost if you’re ever in the market again. I have one of their adjustable hight workbenches as a desk/workbench combo and it’s incredible for the price.
