Thanks, that's a small maple tree root ball. The tree was about 20 feet tall, I cut it down and dug the root ball out of the ground, let it sit in the woods for about a year, then cut it down smaller and pressure washed all the dirt out of it, and set it up in that tank about 4 years ago. The coolest part is that there are a few rocks that the roots captured in it while growing. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My saltwater tank is done dirted with plants, algae, and some crabs, mussels, and a couple barnacles I harvested from the Jersey shore. The female Green crab is now carrying eggs. Low maintenance rocks LOL

Does the air pump you have run all those sponges? Edited to also ask, Are there any known breeders/sellers of Xenotoca Doadrioi out there? I have a 60 gallon I'm ready to stock.

Yes, the one pump runs all my tanks, it's an Alita AL-40. As far as the doadrai, they are getting popular within the hobby, most fish stores can order them or places like Dan's fish sells them.

Those are Australoheros sp. Local, their parents were collected by Ken in Uruguay, his company name is southeast exotics, he's in Georgia.

The upstairs living space of our house stays between 65-75 degrees. This is in the basement with no heating or ductwork. It's also 20 degrees outside currently.

57 seems very low😂 i keep my hosue int he mid 60s-70s at all times and i have fish i got from the creek in them mfs i woukd be scared to go under 60 with loterally almost any fish

Don't be scared, buddy. These fish I keep live in lakes that freeze over during the winter. They can absolutely handle it. Just got to be the right fish.

@MrBeeznutz I mean same lol, I have alot of mosquitofish and sunfish and a few bullhead cats, so I know they can take very cold water but it would just concern me ig, idk why. This video does help with my anxiety of it getting to cold for them tho so thank you.

@@shakinbottles we breed a cold water killifish, putting them outside in February in Chicago the first year was nerve wracking, if I never took that step 4 or 5 years ago, we likely wouldn't have hundreds for sale right now
