I really love how you show long-time care for your animals and continue to do the best for them and improve where necessary. I'm glad you take time to always emphasize that the animal's needs come first. I have been inspired by you and others when it comes to scaping, but I know myself well enough to admit I would not make a good animal keeper. However, I am the proud keeper of three small moss terrariums! They're rewarding enough to check in on every now and again without the need for any critters. Loved your monologue at the end Tanner... always appreciate your genuine reflections that are so representative of how much you care. I'd love to hear more about ethics of where one can get animals in future videos. Your platform is so huge, and you really have the potential to make a genuine impact in the hobby to protect wild species, promote captive-bred, etc. I know it's especially a problem with some of the dart frog species, and there are people out there that do good work to provide captive-bred animals. Not to downplay the stuff you already mention, would just love to hear more and see you impact the hobby even more! You talk a lot about how bringing nature indoors/keeping animals can help us -- I know from experience too

I just found your channel a couple days ago and I'm in love with it. I had no idea you could make a living tank for crested geckos. My son has a male crested gecko named Gandalf. He's about 8 years old now and I would really like to upgrade his living conditions now that I know its an option. Wow, Tanner! I remember when you bought the house and showed us the bare, un-renovated, un-modified basement space. You told us about your dreams and plans, walking around saying things like, "And over here, I plan to build ______" and "Over here, I want to do __________." You are an inspiration, both as an artist and as an animal caretaker. I've been watching for a couple of years now and have enjoyed seeing your constant growth and determination to improve. I always appreciate your honesty about things that haven't gone well and how you have resolved the issue or known when to move on from the idea. And I always love seeing your animal room. I would never want to leave! I love Samson and the firebelly toads. I have a soft spot for frogs and have always thought it would be neat to have a frog tank. We currently have a rainforest inspired back garden with lots of ponds which the wild frogs have taken over and it's so fun watching them (and hearing them, its so noisy at night in spring / summer lol)

Serious question about plants in aquariums... do you have any ferns? Ferns are massive water loving plants, so can they survive submerged underwater like Tanner's syngonium (aka: arrowhead) house plants are doing deep _in_ his "Danio tank". My elderly Florida king snake passed away due to cancer 2.5 years ago. Your builds and the care you provide the animals were part of what inspired me to get a baby king snake a few months ago and set him up with really nice habitat. It's so clear to me how much you dearly care for each and every one of your setups and I admire it greatly. I try to be the same way. Since I saw your kingsnake DIY background/vivarium video, it caused a domino effect of me upgrading nearly every enclosure I had. My late beardie went from a 40 gallon to a 125 gallon, my gecko went from a 25 gallon to a 125 gallon as well, I got into fishkeeping, and have generally become a more active and healthier person because I'm now putting more of my focus into reading about species I find interesting, finding excuses to get outside, not to mention the involvement with the animals and plants causing me to learn more about the science behind it all. Thanks for being such an inspiration Tanner. I can only dream to have such a beautiful animal room like you do, but it's clear you really deserve it and it's super evident you've been working extra hard on it for such a long time. Priceless.
