I always wondered what it would feel like to be paralyzed, or to go blind, or drown in the deepest, darkest and most silent part of the ocean. This story was terrifying in that way.

My friends aunt was in a coma and was conscious. She was in it due to cancer for about 2 months, but she slipped in and out so to her it didn’t feel like 2 months. It felt like maybe a week or so. It’s still scary but knowing that they’re not conscious for ALL of it makes me feel better for sure

I know how that felt like. I too was in an induced coma while in the ICU when I caught covid with pneumonia back in October. It's the worst feeling to ever have in your life, and those delirious dreams/nightmares are something out of this world. :(

One of my aunts was in a coma for awhile(I cant remember how long) but she told me in her coma all she had was "nightmares" and she couldn't wake up from it. That is terrifying for people who don't know how to control their dreams.

My fiancé spent 18 days in a coma before passing a few weeks ago. Every time I saw him I told him everyone knew where he was and he was ok and he wasn’t dreaming and that he’s exactly where he needs to be. This was so scary. What if everyone gave up on him too early

I kinda been through something like this. When I had to do an operation for 2 hours I was out for. Between the operation I was awake but only darkness around me. I know I was in surgery and was even counting down the minutes in that state then I went dreaming. IT WAS frightening and after the surgery. I couldn't sleep for months, even taking sleep aid because I was too afraid to sleep.

I used to think that being in a coma's better and more peaceful than experiencing sleep paralysis. After watching this video, it turns out that experiencing sleep paralysis is nothing compared to an actual coma. 😱

😔, I was afraid to lose my boyfriend from the car accident.. he almost dead. Worse part for him. He couldn't speak he lost consciousness many times. But worse part for him. He told me he saw the devil .. it felt he was in hell.. he prayed so many times. I hated seeing him like that. He couldn't eat and took weeks until he can walk again.. it was hard for me and my daughter seeing him like that. Good thing I had family helping me.. 😔I just can't forget .. I always fear for his life.. like what If something happens and I won't be there ..

Honestly, this is something I’m scared of the most. Being in a Vegetive state, and being conscious with not knowing how long you’ll be able to move again, or hope if you can recover. This story didn’t have anything supernatural, or an psychotic killer, just a tragic event for one individual.

This experience is terrifying. I was in a coma after a car accident in 2012 and thankfully had a much better experience. I was aware of certain things but drifting in an out of consciousness mostly out of it. I was aware of doctors and nurses saying I was lucky to be alive and I’d been in a car accident. I thought back to last time I remembered driving and realised I couldn’t remember getting home so thought maybe I had been in a car accident. I was aware of some of the visiting times and visitors but I didn’t even want to try to move or communicate with them. I just accepted I couldn’t. Best way I can describe it is like a dream where you just accept whatever happens and don’t try to change it. There was a time I couldn’t breathe I think it was end of visiting hour and I didn’t panic I just thought whatever is meant to happen will happen. I knew I was probably closest to death I’d ever been as I wondered if I’d see my grandad who had died 10 years earlier in the same hospital but I didn’t. I also found out later that I was transferred to the hospital he’d died on the 10 year anniversary of him dying there. But for me the whole coma experience had no fear or anything I sort of knew I’d be ok.

I didn't know that you can still hear what people are saying when you're in a coma. I'm glad the guy survived the car accident. It sucks that he couldn't show that he was conscious. And the amount of time it took for him to walk again. He has been in a serious accident.

There's this thing I used to do all the time, it doesn't happen as often anymore. But I'd get extremely tired to the point I just couldn't fight it. Then I'd pass out, after awhile. I'd have consciousness but couldn't move or anything unless someone physically touched me. Then I'd always jolt awake and panicked.
