I’m terribly sorry that this happened to you. I can relate to this. I’m a lesbian. When I was a lot younger, I had neighbors that lived down my block that told me “If you become lesbian one day, god will murder you.” Since when does love only have to be between a man and a woman? I swear I was so teary eyed with u, my grandma passed away and I didn’t have the best relationship with her when I was younger and it seemed like as I got older, we grew closer. I feel so bad for you in this situation and I wish it was different 4u... I’m bisexual living in a super homofobic country(Romania where ppl actually hold normality pride March but it’s so cringe that most lgbtq ppl i know watch it for Entertainment like it’S basically a bunch of grown ass men and priests stepping on Lgbtq flag and they say prayers and say curse words towards gay ppl chilling at parade while holding picture with God). My family is also super homophobic more like my dad is even more homophobic like he won’t let me go to study in Netherlands bcuz “too many gay ppl there” and i actually did come out but he thought it’s a joke first time at 14 i told him”dad i am into girls” and he thought i say it just to get attention and then he told me”no boyfriend until 18”(i was 16 Back then now i am 18) and i told him”then i will get a gf” again he thought it’s a joke bcuz i often say witty remarks just to piss him off. Like he knows i am a big LGBTQ+ supporter(his skin crawls just when thinkin of the thought tho and he called me an evil human for supporting that). But honestly i don’t think disagreeing with being gay is homophobic bcuz in the Bible it’s indeed a sin(so is being lazy overeating wearing makeup but no religious fanatic is Gonna talk about that) what’s homophobic is ppl disowning their kids avoiding to go places bcuz “there are gay ppl” denying gay ppl to marry and adopt kids bcuz “it’s against your religion” or assaulting murdering and openly disrespecting gay ppl in the name of God like “normality”parade priests goin on tv to curse gay ppl in the name of God. Bcuz if anyone would start hating and oppressing ppl over what their religion tells em it’s a sin then well we have examples in history and even now what’s happening when ppl can’t accept others are different
