As a British South Asian, I remember occasional rumours of people who had taken their own lives and how this was swept under the carpet by families and communities. I always suspected this was because they had been forced to live double lives which they could see no end to, and no way out of. This 10 minute video will give young Asian LGBTQ+ so much strength and hope. Thank you 🌈

The double life which omar mentioned is so relatable , i feel so claustrophobic , because i cannot represent myself who i am properly to people , but i cant fully express it too because i am too scared what if the other person is homophobic or what if i was socially excluded everywhere ,

Dear Amy, if Hawa ( Eve) was created 1st to pair with another Hawa (Eve) at the beginning of time, you wont be having friends with opposite gender. Because you , me and the rest of human beings from the past and present didnt even exist in this world at the first place. Your issue is basically you have not learnt to understand the nafsu in you and in each of human beings. Modern days have mixed understanding of what is love, what is lust, what is desire what is need and modern people are at lost. Dont be one. Nothing comes easy if you want to taste beauty. Having difficulties means you are on a right track to become human. Patience is virtue and you will learn something from this. Keep finding truth of why you were born in this world. Remember that you have your heart in you. Listen!

To all the haters saying about Muslims should be gay let me tell you that something 1: If you are LGBTQ+ that’s fine as it’s your decision. 2:If you think that Allah (god)doesn’t like gays why would he make them in this world 3:love is love and what is gender to define you it’s just small differences that don’t mean anything. Yeh so there is my top reasons why being lgbt isn’t bad

It isn't a 'decision' to be LGBTQ+, it's just who you're and you have no control over!

1. Fine 2. Allah would never make a person that transgresses far like this. I deny the claim that he does this for a test too, that would destroy the purpose of judgment day anyway. 3. ove definitely is love, but that is limited in Islam to a man and a woman, nothing else. Yeah more like reasons why Islam should not be compatible with the lgbtq.

That fact that this is something shaiytan does, shaiytan makes the person do this and also that its something not natural not something suppose to happen. Allah swt told us that we are supposed to be married to the opposite sex is what we have to do as we do all the other things. Well, one more thing that the prophet lut AS had in his ppl who were involved in this. And then their was the disaster happen and now that place became the dead sea. This is an example.

Watched Matt's video too!! Love both of your stories! Coming from very religious backgrounds just adds a whole extra layer in the coming out process in an already sometimes volatile environment. I have a very similar story, only I came out later at 38 and had married a woman and had 3 children by this time. I couldn't handle the pressure of knowing I was 100% gay. I did what was "expected" of me from my family and my religious community and in the process affected the lives of my 3 beautiful children and now ex wife. It was some very dark days! But thanks for sharing your story. It's so encouraging to hear others tell their story and so important for younger people who don't have any other outlet! Peace and love to you and Matt!

When I was 12-13 and started having attraction to men, I didn't know the concept of "being gay". I didn't know a man could romantically love another man. So if I was being attracted to men and in all my life I learned that women are attracted to men, then my conclusion at the time was that I too was a woman. Then I read a lot online and after a few months I understood that a man can love another man, and that makes him a homosexual, which is my case.

He isn't Muslim he left that fictitious religion, and what do you mean by Muslim and gay there are millions of gays among Muslims they are just inside the closest, being gay isn't a choice it's natural and scientifically proven but Alas!! Muslims believe in man fiction rather than present evidence. That's why developed Western nations support them. but Muslims are busy trying to deny the fact that a certain amount of people born that way. and Muslim nations to have millions of gays but they are inside the closet.

Hi! because you're still young the best thing to do for your safety is to not come out yet. I know it's hard, i'm going through it as well, but you need to wait until you're in a safe environment so when you do have the chance to come out, you won't be physically hurt. Just remember that being gay is completely fine and normal and it's part of who yous re. If your parents don't accept you, try not to take it too hard because by that time you'll have people around you that'll support you. hold on kid, you're going to be just fine.

Honestly being born a Muslim is a privilege which you will regret and then it will be too late. Being gay or bi is not allowed in any religion, I can understand you can have feelings for the same sex but acting upon those feelings rather than ignoring them is what your test is all about. I am not saying it’s easy, allah tests us all in different ways . But leaving Islam is the worse thing you can do. I honestly feel bad for your soul , really do! May Allah guide you .

Actually, there are quite a few religions that allow gay marriage and hence gay love. For example, the US Episcopal church. Also instead of greaving for his soul and the love that he has found you should greave for yours and the god who's narrow view murders, such love.

me being a Muslim and a lesbian, i'm proud of you but from an Islamic perspective this life we live is a test... we should sacrifice our desires for god if you have deep faith.... this life is supposed to be unenjoyable in terms of sexuality, work, discrimination, the desire to drink/consume intoxicants ... but nonetheless if religion is not a priority for you i pray for you, i'm in the same situation, i'm British, i'm a lesbian, i'm Muslim and also pakistani. I ran out of Islam because of my sexuality and it did not do me any justice, during high school and yes i'm still a lesbian and as with everyone else nobody can't change that, but i love my Islam and try my best not to commit in homosexual acts (and also being a homosexual isn't entirely haram but committing in the sexual acts are) i really respect your mother being open-minded shows unconditional love :) but the point i'm saying is that religion does really hit you eventually as it has done with me.... and i'm just worried for my gay muslim brothers and sisters (i know many gays muslims in real life aswell)
@blue_37425 жыл бұрын
J I agree with you and I’m also in the same boat (gay, Muslim and Pakistani) I’ve been trying to do the same as you, but the idea of never being able to share my life with someone and not having kids etc it just seems unfair to me. I want to be able to experience those feelings but at the same time I know how much hurt it would bring to my family so I won’t get with anyone. But I’m worried that one day if I meet someone I love and who loves me I don’t know how I could walk away from that but I know I need to for my family’s sake.

@@myrsoup I don't really know i'm sorry because the Quran only references homosexual acts like in the story of Prophet Lut and it calls homosexuality a transgressing.
@user-ry2sb6iw1l5 жыл бұрын
@@myrsoup okay here's the thing, the main aspect to a relationship is sex, without it it wouldn't feel fulfilled, because the feelings and release of dopamine would lead to pleasurable sex with someone you are in love regardless if man to man/ female to female... it would be disliked if there was a non-sexual gay relationship as Islam see's that half of a persons faith is accomplished if they are married and have children... and tell me ...has there every been any relationship where there hasn't been kissing/sex involved? Because if someone assumes that they won't have sex in a gay relationship, there's a chance where it will happen, because it's hard to control homosexuality even with faith in heart, hence why even being in a relationship isn't advisable
@user-ry2sb6iw1l5 жыл бұрын
@@blue_3742 i getcha.... it's pretty shitty, because i wish i had children and had a family as well but my sexuality makes it hard to be attracted to guys... and as same for me, i would honestly advice you to prioritize your parents and family, still have feelings for guys but don't ever Come-out to people and keep your feelings concealed, Allah swt will reward for your efforts insha'allah, this society we live in a the hardest test... some Muslims have alcohol addictions, some drug, some commit adultery, but indeed Allah SWT is the ever so forgiving, don't lose hope and stick to your dean

There is no place for homosexuality in islam. Please read the history and the books to clear ur confusion....its ur choice what u wanna do with ur life but dont call urself a muslim if u have chosen an exact opposite lifestyle. You are responsible for ur own actions only in front of God but if u lead others to the same direction, God will hold u accountable for them too. We will all leave this world eventually, but this content will live forever..... 😢
