So happy for you and your mates. I'm here in California. I'm a old man now and ran with my buddies in the 80's in the San Francisco Bay music scene. They blew it with coke and egos. I wish you happiness, success and good health . You're an amazing musician. Most importantly a really stand up guy. Play on young man!

i am also an older guy by now and i had they same thing happening overhere in holland , i played in a great band but sadly the ego's and coke / booze / females took hold and destroyed the whole lot . i sometimes do miss these day's though , live has become a lot more boring : )

@@antoonhermans8953 Hey my friend. Ya, my life is a tad slower these days and I miss certain parts of the 80's. Some of the shit I did I don't even tell my wife about. 83-89 was a cocaine alcoholic porn induced semi blur. I dumped my friends and the lifestyle on Nov 3rd 1989. I've been clean ever since. Met my normal wife in 94. We've been all over the USA and Europe. We even went to Liverpool to see the Beatles homes and everything in between. I was on my last legs in 89. I was toast. I had screwed up everything thinking blow would solve everything. Then friends started dying and I couldn't support myself anymore. So it was over. My guitars are now hanging on the spare bedroom walls. I gave away my Les Paul to a kid who could really play and was in the coast guard. He was from New Jersey. I will eventually give away the rest to some deserving kid or kids. The Strat will be the last to go, but you never know. Be safe and enjoy our later years. I just admire these guys so much. I hope the make it to the States. I'm sure The wife and I could swing a dinner for the group and some normalcy for the evening. Be safe and thanks for the pleasant response. A fellow older person.....

absolutely. on the lead sounds we hear on the video, I'll go extreme and say that for the regular non guitarist foe, you can swap yamaha - 335 - lespaul with no distinguable change in the tone. only this neck pick up of tele has a really distinctive tone
@joequintana55462 жыл бұрын
Your tone is the same no matter what guitar you play. This is actually a compliment in disguise. Most guitar players spend a lifetime trying to find their own voice to sound unique and you've achieved it so young.

Tone comes through the hands. Your use of the Squier Jazzmaster is extraordinary because your playing sounds the same as it does on your high end guitars. The aquisition of special guitars is fun and part of the hobby, but a professional only needs a well set -up instrument. Year, vintage, marque are just the icing on a cake that's already quite tasty.

A quick thought: Other than the Revstars, the Mike Stern models from 25 years ago, and of course the LP killers from the late 70s, Yamaha never seems to get the love they deserve from guitarists, in spite of them having built them longer than pretty much anybody else in Asia. Very pleased to see someone of your caliber playing one of their acoustics, which in my opinion, are hands down the best bang for your buck available anywhere.
