I would prefer 1 single super boss where everyone fights to kill him and he reappears only after death, fewer problems this way and everyone can try to improve themselves this way

100% agreed , it appears that a LOT of those japanese gacha games use guild battle systems that cater to JAPAN only, where every player falls under the same timezone. Whereas Global is completely different. So mechanics such as "all bosses spawn when they're dead at the same time" , " crossing 75% , 50% , 25% threshold gives bonus points" , these mechanics that require COORDINATING 30 members are an absolute NIGHTMARE for Global players since we are literally scattered across every timezones.

there is another stupid error, the daily rewards for doing the 3 guild battles (200 crystals and 5 of each lv100 weapon mats) expire 6 hours before the guild battle reesets, so everyone that hasn't done their 3 tries by the daily reset at 1PM PDT looses those rewards

The timers working differently between Mock Battle and Official Battle is pretty inexcusable. They really have to fix that.

Only thing ill disagree with is the "if they do 1% on a higher stage that they're not meant for that its a wasted attempt". I've noticed almost EVERYONE'S scores were higher on 4/5 than previous nodes even if only hitting a partial %. Ill say that its more annoying for more like the top 30, but we're at ranked 63 atm, and some people that we'd normally have at stage 2 for example, hit nearly 1.5-3x the score at stage 5. So if you cant get a full clear of all 5 stages before reset, its almost better sticking them in at their higher score value.

If the boss refreshes immediately the whale guilds will just have a bigger advantage by doing the last boss over and over for the most points. So they have to create some type of penalty or balance to prevent that.

Yeah, on boss 3 I was getting a consistent 13 to 15 percent. But in the actual battle, I couldn't get 10 percent. I should redo my team, but I'm still upset with the games gotcha. I've ignored WuWa because the guild took all my time. But now I realize I have more fun playing WuWa.

Another fun thing. I am always trying to make things better around me, so I'm trying to send as many suggestions to the support (e-mail or whatever options they have) of the game, as I can. Previously I used to send to the Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Hearthstone, Marvel Snap, Magic: the Gathering Arena, Dota 2, Apex Legends, etc., many of them were implemented after some time. I also send to the eBay, PayPal, Reddit (these guys are seriously unworthy, not customer/consumer oriented) etc. But this not working for the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. They haven't changed anything, no QoL changes. Only thing I got - template answers, so I stopped to send anything to them.

For me it's the timer continuing while using limit breaks. And you have to have the perfect comp to do 30% DMG vs 5% with your strongest lol

I didn't like the guild boss battle thing, aside from the mock battle issue etc. It's not as fun as I expected it, it's just another critical encounter thing but for the guild. I like it better in other games where you have multiple smaller encounters and one big boss battle so that everyone can have some fun and participate up to their level in a meaningful way. I'm 500k+ but I didn't draw for Vincent so I have a decent dmg for this battle but it would have been more fun if people could have like, do the water weakness battle or the fire one where they could help out in their best aspect and keep the "we need to sell red crystal for Vincent pull" big boss battle at the end.. Overall I just didn't like this event whatsoever, it was just another event to sell the new draw, that's all.

Damage report appearing in guild chat is the most wild thing ever. It completely breaks the communication. Completely agree about everything you said. It's all so clunky & hard to keep up with for everyone outside of Japan. They should pay more attention to their international players and time zones differences. And let's not even talk about the weapon & armor % buff for your team... It's completely anti-F2P & encouraging people to whale on the game. It's to the point that your character build doesn't even matter that much, compared to your Buffs. And of course, to top it all of. There's Mock Battle which doesn't even align with guild battle so that you can plan and strategize properly. It almost loses its point.

100% Agree! Also it would be nice if they consider adding SERVERS in every a central zone in every continent just like any other game, so for example Germany in EU and Texas in NA. There are a lot of WHALES in EU or NA as well, not everyone currently grinding this game lives in ASIA, so they need to play the battles with over +200ms-300ms of PING, and we all know we don't have a complete MANUAL mode, so higher ping makes the characters harder to control and they up using the ATB wrongly. If they don't want to pay for more servers, the least thing they could do would be let us play locally just like the MOCK battles and then just upload the info after the games is over.

My main concern is that the guild ranking forces you to play every day for the event duration (4 days). That was much better in dungeon/battle rankings. They last 1 week and I can do my runs whenever I want to.

I noticed that if someone defeats a boss while you are doing a mock battle on that boss stage, when you finish your mock battle the results will be zeroes and you will have to redo the mock battle.

I think it's actually the game where you don't need to go that hard. As I know, it doesn't have any competitive elements in sense of money prizes or something similar. So there is actually not many points to go that hard with that low amount of "quality of life", game is too messy at the moment.

I agree with the whole mock battles being an issue, but I have to somewhat disagree with the timezone issue. I understand that it is frustrating, but in a general sense, guilds were formed together by choice. I know in your community you helped organize many guilds, which I am part of the casual guild (much appreciated), but also I don't think the issue is how the fights were done but more of an issue that we did not know how the guild battles would be before forming guilds. If we knew ahead of time, people can either choose convenience or competitive groups. Convenience in the sense that guild could be made with people with same free time (not necessarily timezones given some people work nights and odd hours) or people who just casually playing and just attack whatever is available. Or they could join competitive guilds, which people agree to specific times to coordinate. The fact the attempts are available for 24 hours is pretty generous, but I understand the frustration with having to wait for others to attack.

i agree. Guild battles are a big mess. As always things are pumped out for monetarization without being polished. Idk what the best fix for guilds is.. i dont really like the system itself tbh nut i dont really like thst all 5 being killed resets the bosses...

My game lagged mid-battle and then the game decided to end the match a whole minute in advance...this mode is a disaster on so many levels...

They are quite lazy .. should ve made the guild battle UI like in dungeon battle, with more interesting stuffs to do.. otherwise this is not much different from event battle..

F2P had like 96m in the first 3 hours it went live lol. I like the idea of the stage boss being refreshed automatically instead of having to clear all of them out. Something about that needs to change. I have a number of different people in my guild that are half way across the world from me! I live in the US, I have one person that lives in Germany, another lives in SEA region, and I'm sure others that are in different countries as well.

I hate this guild activity. I think for the very first guild activity, they should've made it more casual friendly so EVERYONE in a guild can have fun and contribute. There should be a second harder version for the tryhards. I'm glad I'm in a casual guild that doesn't care about rankings.

Guilds in these games are literally for one thing only. To make people fight with money. It's hilarious watching these guild/clan ideas rolling out and watching them burn so hard because they dont focus on actual beneficial guild things. The stickers are the best part of the guilld update.

Wait, international players are all on one thing (server?)? I assumed the regions were separate. Especially since you can label your guild as active morning, noon, or night. That's a bit of a problem even across just 4 time zones, but if it's everyone save Japan, it becomes useless unless you specify your location in the description or name. Sidenote thanks for the strat in the previous video, I doubled my score thanks to that. :)

this entire system feels like it was just rushed out instead of being tested to be best, idk why game devs dont just get a small but consistent group of players to beta test their things before releasing, i have a semi-strong account but i dont like the stress of these types of things so im in a super casual guild that nobody but me can do stage 3 on the bosses lol

Rushed out for money obviously. Look they make the big Earth debut a friggin guild battle? Earth is the least supported element in the whole game and then they make Vincent and the guild battle soon after lmao. And Magic ATK focused lol. It's always some rushed cash grab with these companies.

They can improve QoL for Guild but everyone needs to understand, whales will still conquer most of the top 5. Thats just how it is unless youre lucky enough from Day 1. If youre new and f2p, dont expect to be in top 10 and complains how hard bosses are. Its not like wow or ff14 where you can buy a max level character already with maxed weapons. So if they still complaining about whales in a Gacha game, then its not the game for them. Or at least, not the competition they should be going to. They can focus in story and other events and just farm. No need to stress trying to compete. If you look at it, your guild is in top 10. Are you a full whale guild? No. Yet youre there. Its just how lucky and how long youve been playing the game. Everyone else will catch up sooner or later in future guild battles. The developers need to change the boss battles to accommodate timezones. Lets see what happens.

If the boss respawns after being killed, why would you bother defeating Boss 1 unless you can’t tackle the other bosses? The bonus from higher stages is more valuable than that from a lower-stage boss. Therefore, your objective should be to defeat as many of the strongest bosses as you can manage. Even if it requires deploying 20 people to Stage 5 just to kill the boss once, focusing on the higher stages is still more beneficial. This strategy would be even more advantageous for whales. In my opinion, first they should fix the mock battle system. Additionally, there should be an option to import your mock battle run into the actual guild fight. For example, if you achieve a particularly good run in the mock battle, you should be able to apply that run to the real battle. Alternatively, you could complete the normal guild battle once and then have the option to repeat the run if it was effective.

Importing mock battles into actual guild fights would easily be abused. You would just go full on high risk strats since you can attempt it as many times as you want whether it requires Crit procs, very specific timing for ATB usage, enemy attack manipulation, etc. The "skip ticket" idea where you do it once and repeat for duplicate result also just discourages playing the game and just sounds abusive given this is a competitive ranking event.

@@Brixgale It seems less abusive than having the boss respawn as soon as you kill him. As for crit weapons in this event, they don't appear to be better than the earth magic weapon-unless you’re implying that every weapon in the game has a chance to crit? We're already optimizing ATB usage and manipulating enemy attacks. Right now, my best run isn’t significantly better than my average run. I still believe it’s fair since you can use the mock battle to improve before the real battle, and you can keep refining it whenever you like. In my opinion, 99.9% of players won’t be discouraged by the skip ticket. On the contrary, I’m confident that try-hard players would also prefer the skip ticket/mock battle for their best runs.

@@proxy2149 Talking about a general case rather than focusing on this one event type. If we get a guild ranking event where no elemental weakness for example, then crit weapons come into play. In which if we use that mock battle idea of yours, it just turns into whoever gets the most crit hits in the mock battle to transfer over. And yes we are optimizing our battle strategy, but also in a way that it is safe and consistent and not going to risk a strategy where you could get more points if RNG is on your side. With the mock battle transfer idea, people would just be using high risk strategies in mock battle then transfer the points over, which changes how the strategize for the fight. And it isn't about discouragement in terms of morality, but as in "why play when I can just skip". And you missed the point of what I meant by abusive. Of course try-hards would want skips cause then they don't have to try as hard anymore. They just need one good run then just skip everything else, which leads back to my original discouragement issue. Once you have a good run, there is no reason to keep doing runs if you can just "skip" because why risk it? Just turns into a math game for guild leaders. Everyone just marks down their runs then everyone just "skips" on the runs they need to skip to defeat the boss, which just makes it purely math game. And it becomes abusive because you would just have your guild use the skip in the same order as you did the previous day cause why risk messing up and getting a lower score then? So all the gameplay of the guild ranking would just happen Day 1, then use skips for the rest of your attempts and for the rest of the days.

@@Brixgale While crit weapons might be significant in certain events, it’s very unlikely that events will be completely devoid of elements. With 6 different elements (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Ice, Lightning) and 2 damage types (Physical and Magical), there are 12 possible event combinations. Every event will likely involve either Physical or Magical damage. Additionally, based on the game’s trends and past events, it seems very unlikely that there will ever be a completely neutral guild battle event. In the end, I believe it’s still fair. For 99.99% of players, you can achieve a "good" run and simply repeat it, which respects their time. For try-hard players like myself, it also respects our time since my very best run is not far from my average run. While it could be improved, I’m confident that our guild will secure a top 10 position. Most try-hard players will likely achieve runs close to the best possible, around 90-95%, without excessive effort, unless a new strategy emerges that changes everything. So, while it’s possible to aim for a 99-100% run and then replicate it in the real battle event, it’s probably not necessary to do so in every scenario. You might need to be very close to other guilds to secure a top 10, 100, or first-place position. However, considering the rewards, which don’t show a significant difference, most players, even those who try hard, are unlikely to go out of their way to achieve perfect runs every time.

@@proxy2149 So I am only using crit weapons as an example because they are probably the biggest source of RNG damage in the game. And although I do agree the chances are somewhat low, I still think it is a possibility as it will be dependent on what banner is up. Given we had a few Crit focused banners already (Cloud's ff9 weapon, Tifa's zangan gloves, and Zack's Ceremonial Sword), the possibility still exists. Like this guild ranking event is highly Vincent focused given it is Magic Earth weakness. And this is because it aligns with his banner. Vincent is the only one with Earth resist down and only one with Reprieval if you get his costume. Given the strat is kamikaze, this makes Vincent required for any top scores. So if let's say a future banner is crit focused and aligns with the guild ranking, I can see them putting like Bahamut as a guild boss as a neutral element. I understand your goal your suggestion is to respect the time of the player, but that is more of the terms of a try-hard or competitive mindset, in which although frustrating, if you want to compete, you are going to need to invest time like any other gacha game with a competitive system or any game with a competitive system. In casual terms, each run is only around 3 minutes, meaning casual player is going to just be investing 9 minutes of their time to guild battles in which a casual guild typically wouldn't be worrying about boss orders and which stage to fight. And as previously stated, your best run is not far from your average run is because I assume in your mock battles you are not going to be using anything high-risk, but going for something consistent since you have to do the same thing on the real run. In the current system, a consistent run is better than high-risk run. With this repeat system with mock battle transfer, it is reversed. A high-risk run is better than a consistent run. And just to give a point of reference, my alt is in a truly casual guild where we are just attacking in order of stages, no communication and no organization, and we are still in top 500. So this timezone issue only affects people who are trying to compete. I honestly just don't think the solution for this problem is making the player play the game less. This isn't farming, it is competition. The main issue at hand is 1. Mock battles are not the same as actual fight. I think everyone can 100% agree this is an issue. 2. Order of members attacks actually matter. This is frustrates only competitive guilds due to the timezone issue, which was technically caused by the guild leaders. They had the choice of who is in the guild and who isn't. It is unfortunate we were not fully aware of how guilds would be used when forming the guilds but in reality, the timezone issue here is only because guilds were formed without taking into consideration people's available times. And at least this is better than other guild ranking competitions where you have to constantly be playing to compete such as Kingdom Hearts Union Cross (The union cross armor competition probably best example) or Granblue's Unite and Fight.
