The best home organisation system I’ve ever seen ❤️👏👏👏

I'm more of a born-organizer, or rather a super-happy-to-organize person, but exactly like you describe yourself- detailed and a perfectionist. If you ever watch the clutter bug, that means somewhere between a cricket and bee.... visual and detailed and pretty. Videos like these make me feel not so crazy and not alone. ❤️

Nice video, Morgan. I'm enjoying how you've customized and incorporated videos of others and put it together in a way that works for you. Finding a lot of ideas that will work for me as I'm trying to do likewise with some of the same You Tubers~love Jordan and Block Scheduling for example~so I'm kind of binge watching your videos right now and learning lots. (I still don't know how to respond to yt comments lol.) You seem as nice as you are pretty. :)

I love your videos! I just noticed something. All of the cleaning channels I know have everything in their home in neutral tones lol! I am a COLOR person. I see a new room as an opportunity for a new theme and color scheme.
@TheDovesNest2 жыл бұрын
I tend keep large pieces neutral because when I want a change (of color) it's easier to change art & pillows than couches and beds! Most of the color in our house are "stormy earth tones." blues, greens, grays, etc. But our Master & living rooms have no decor yet, because I just don't know what to do with them.
@SinginginD2 жыл бұрын
@@TheDovesNest makes sense! I’d be really interested in something on how to make a space with bright colors or lots of patterns stay neat. My couch is cream colored chairs are brown, but we have a combo of striped patterned and solid pillows that came with our couch plus some light blue and mustard pillows (that pop of color you were talking about) that we change to different colors for special seasons. General color scheme for decor in our living room is red/blue/mustard. Even though our big pieces are neutral, wall hangings, throw pillows, storage containers that are easy to change out, are colors and patterns. I guess most of the examples I see are whites and creams or earth tones, and with that more monochromatic look or earthy look it seems when you clean it LOOKS clean. But I’m a person who wants to be clean but also wants to be suuuuuper expressive in that colorful way through my decor. I’m wondering if it’s possible to have both? Or if it just isn’t? Like Will colorful decor with patterns just always look messy? Curious if you have a friend with that kind of house or a room like that or anything, or if I just have to sacrifice one or the other. Or maybe it could be a challenge to see if you could do that to someone’s house that you know?

Wow! Amazing journal! I’d be wary about leaving that journal out for babysitters and pet sitters with all that personal information in it like Social Security numbers and school info for your kids. Maybe just take out the page for the sitter and lock up the rest of the journal! But I watch a lot of crime shows, so don’t necessarily listen to me. :). I keep the list of medical information for my husband and me in a very clearly marked file folder witting in the foyer for the first responders, having needed something g like that in the past.

Yes, it has sections for some of that info, but I don't actually have ours filled out. We have those "top secret" kinds of documents in a document safe in our house.

Hi, sorry this a random question. Can you link your headboard? Lol. It looks exactly like the one I have been looking for. Btw, love listening to these videos. I’m totally a perfectionist but I have trouble finding where to start. It was easier when it was just me and my spouse. Now after kids it’s more difficult. I’ve gotten better but then got out of the habit when the kids no longer needed mom to take them to school. Getting ready before the kids really got me going. And having a certain amount of time to get my stuff done before pick up got me moving. Suddenly, after I no longer had to drop off or pick up, I started wearing lounge wear all day. 😕 It makes sense to start getting dressed to shoes to start my day. Thank you for breaking this system down.
@TheDovesNest4 жыл бұрын
Hi Thank you! I totally know what you mean about getting dressed! When I stopped working outside of the home full time, I think I lived in sweats/pj's for 6 months! I made it a goal in 2020 to get dressed every day, and the FlyLady baby step of getting dressed to my shoes only helped! I still don't every single day (especially on lockdown), but I try to at least 6 days a week. This is the link to our bed... it's a full piece (headboard, sideboards, foot board & drawers). We got ours on Wayfair 3 years ago, but I can't find it on there now: www.stanleyfurniture.com/products/wethersfield-estate-upholstered-storage-bed

Hi Morgan I love your system. I have had the book Sink Reflections for years read it over many times but, like you I got 'tooooo much house 😂) have you done a video regards EACH 1 of your zone cleaning systems as you go through each zone yet? Do you intend to do one? If already done where I can I find them please? Also may I ask if all rooms in that designated zone desperately desperately need Windows cleaned do you slot all 3/4 rooms in on the same Saturday while you are in those zones? Reg Diana
@TheDovesNest4 жыл бұрын
I don't have the zone videos done yet (but I have started filming them)!!! They should be up later this summer. I only deep clean in my zones (unlike the FlyLady, I don't declutter or clean on Zone Cleaning Saturdays, just "deep clean") so I do things like baseboards, change light bulbs, wash bedding, etc. I clean the inside of the windows when I zone clean (but sometimes when I'm dusting if they need it). As for the outside of the windows, we have to do those professionally (except for our sliding doors). Our house is located on a hill so even on the bottom level, I can't reach the outside windows

I watched your Zones video and I'm confused on when you do them. I seen on Saturdays but on Monday was Master suite which is Zone 4. Do you do a different zone everyday? I'm a new subscriber. If anyone else knows, I'd appreciate the answer because I doubt she checks back on older video's. Thank you.
@TheDovesNest4 жыл бұрын
This is where my system is VERY different than the FlyLady System. I don't clean zones during the week (M-F). I do my Zone cleaning (or deep cleaning) only on Saturdays - 1 zone each Saturday, for 7 weeks. During the week I take more of a Clean Mama approach and do 1 chore each day (Thursdays = dust, Fridays= Vacuum, etc.). However, because of the layout of our house, I dust & vacuum our Master Suite on Mondays (it's a zone, but it's completely separate from the rest of our house, so I just surface clean it on Mondays). On Tuesdays, I clean the other 3 bathrooms in our house. Again, Bathrooms are a zone, but they also need to be cleaned every week, and not just one Saturday every 7 weeks. I have a whole video of how I modify things.

How do you declutter and organize? Im not the best at organizing, i have no knack for it. and it spends me hours to do

First I completely empty the space, I touch everything once and make a decision to keep or toss in 1-2 seconds. I don't allow myself time to 2nd guess, or else it will never get done. I have a whole declutter playlist you can check out if you'd like!

I've listened to some of your videos and can't tell you how much I enjoyed them! I've gotten so much out of them, thank you! I can't even listen to this one because of the annoying music in the background, I actually had to stop listening which really saddens me. Please don't have music in the background when you're talking because if we wanted to listen to music we would be listening to music and not trying to learn something. I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but it's so annoying that I literally can't listen unfortunately to the good things I know you have to say. Please strongly consider not having any music in the future when you are teaching us great things. We're not tuning in to you to listen to music- only to learn.
