I remember watching you a few years ago and today I got this random thought to look your channel up again and I'm so shocked that ROSIE IS 11?????? AND TWINS ARE 5?????? AND BENJAMIN IS 3??? They're so young in my mind, AND ROSIE IS ALMOST A TEENAGER! Ubelievable. I'm proud of all of them and impressed of how well you handle in such a big family. And I'm happy you're being such a kind, loving family. Ps. subscribed, so I don't miss anything anymore...

I have four kids with birthdays from April 15th to April 30th. We do one big combined birthday party but I set up a table for each of them with a cake that matches their “theme” that they choose. We also try to do a little something special as a family on their actual birthday like go out to dinner where they choose or go on a hike/bike ride, etc. they don’t mind sharing at all and I feel better about inviting everyone to one party instead of 4.

Not siblings, but my grandma and I had birthdays 2 days apart and we always celebrated together. I LOVED IT. In fact I loved it so much, the year they thought it would be nice to give me my own party I absolutely refused.

My sister and I are 8 years apart but our birthdays are the day after each other! I don’t remember having shared birthdays when I was young (too much of a difference in age) but now we are older we absolutely love it! We still celebrate separately but always have a day to celebrate our “almost twin” birthdays together and it is so special for us. Close birthdays are a blessing!

One thing I would like to add to the overall conversation is that the emotional tone of the parents matters more than if a kid as their own party or a joint one. If you do spectate parties but the child hears mom or dad complaining about the money, time, energy that it takes to do their specific party it kinda lends to the kid not actually feeling extra celebrate cause they had their own party but actually lends them to feel possibly responsible and guilty for the added stress and burden. One thing my therapist said that really encouraged me about parenting is that, your kids will go through things that are hard that you have control over and things you won’t have control over, the part you play as a parent is being the emotional support and compassionate ear and heart to them. If kids feel love, seen, compassion was offered to them, attuned to, that’s what matters. The pains they go through will stick with them when they don’t have the support system and love they needed. All this to say, a birthday is one day. If doing a joint party makes more practical sense for your family, do it. And when that kid asks for a special kind of ice cream on a random Sunday, get it from time to time and let them know you bought it because of them and because you heard their voice and wanted to give them a smile.

My kids have had a kitchen for years. I kept it fresh by always adding something new to it every special occasion. New dishes, new play food, new “appliance”, etc. They’re 8 and 6 and still playing with it all the time.

I lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, until I was 10 years old. We spent lots of time on North Beach and going to Padre Island. I was stung by jelly fish multiple times and knocked down by huge waves! I never learned to swim and am terrified of water! I did, however, make sure my 3 children all learned to swim. So, yes,I totally hear you concerning your fear of water! There’s something so comforting about your videos. You also crack me up (and that’s not easy to do). I love watching y’all transform your property into everything you envision it to be. I’m living vicariously through y’all until one day we buy a home on acreage too! Someone caused me to be afraid of the water as a child, then scare me on a boat, so I can't swim and won't go on a cruise etc. However, I still love the beach and pool, hoping to learn how to swim one day. The boat is pretty. When you said that Benjamin is almost 3, my mouth fell open.😮 I started watching about 6 months or more before he was born. The time just flew by. Only my oldest celebrate birthdays together, because they are twins. I love makeovers, so I'm waiting with excitement.

Agree on fear of kids and water.Iwas thrown in the deep end the pool at a birthday party.I was 13.I got myself out by walking to the shallow end.My oldest daughter at 3,stepped off the steps at the shallow end and was under water where I was standing(8 months pregnant)looked to my right and she was under water.I pulled her out by grabbing her hair. Went to our Pediatrician,x rays showed water spots which was pneumonia.Sent her home with meds, vaporizer. She nearly drowned at the hands of another girl at age 11! Our 3rd grandson drowned at 28 months old by going out through a sliding bedroom door at a friend's house.I handled the whole funeral.Absolutely the worst experience ever! This happened 52 yrs ago with my daughter,68 yrs for me,and 35 yrs ago for my grandson.Always have life jackets on,anywhere around water!

Regarding investing and special needs children: Please note that if your child will need to depend upon SSI in the future or Medicaid, there are income caps and limits. Having a bank account in their name can (unfortunately) harm their financial future. Please consult with a financial and trust attorney before creating any sort of account. Many states have specialized special needs trusts that you can use to save, but these are specific and need to be set up by someone who can ensure these funds don’t cancel out potential benefits. 😊

I think it’s really important to separate the birthdays so they feel equal to each other, you don’t choose your birthday and I think it should be a day to feel special as an individual, the date shouldn’t matter even if the birthdays are only a few days apart, the only exception, I think, is if the child specifically asked for a joint celebration x

Our triplets when they were little shared birthdays, we sang to each separately though. As they got older we have three days in a row where they get to each choose a meal and dessert, we rotate each year who gets to choose on the actual birthday. They like it that way, as we celebrate them individually.

LOVE this video - thank you! ❤️ 3 out my 4 kids were due on the same day, but 2 were early, and 1 was late! 😅 we’ve only celebrated the two closest dates as a joint birthday once (4 days apart). Apart from that, it’s always been for us separate parties with a different mix of friends, and a reshuffling of the cards around the room! I call it “Birthday Season”, and it feels as bonkers as Christmas, but I love it! ❤️🥳❤️ xx

My cousins, 3 sisters, had birthdays on 6, 7, 8 September. Each year they had the option of everyone having a separate party, or no parties and a family holiday with an extra week off school instead. They had to work together to decide, which took all year, contracts were drawn up for future birthday arrangements... lol. One year they did all have a party at the same place though, just 3 parties over a couple of weekends.

2 of my boys have birthdays 3 days apart. We do just grandparents for birthday parties (at this point, that may change) and most of them live on our block so if we do one birthday the weekend before and the other the weekend later it's not a big deal. However, they're old enough to weigh in on whether they want a shared birthday party or not. This year and the last few they've thought it was the coolest to share their party. They still get their own cake and theme and each pick what food they want served.

My girls have birthdays five days apart. They have always celebrated together. They are now 20 and 18. It worked/works out best because they have always had the same friend group (they were homeschooled), and grandparents don't have to travel twice. It did get to the point where some years they wanted different themes, so we just had them switch off. Every other year they would get to choose. Now they really don't do themes.

I had a similar experience with water in my childhood and has been afraid of water since - it was a nightmare learning how to swim. Nevertheless, I took the decision for my children not to be become afraid of water. So they started with swim lessons very early - accompanied by my husband and/or sister, both very fond of water and swimming. And what can I say - my children (today grown-ups) have always loved water and are all very good swimmers - my daughter loves sailing too. It is so important to turn a bad experience (or karma, whatever you like) into a good experience in the next generation.

I share my birthday with my 4 years younger brother. With our grandparents and godfather we had always cake together. But we always got separate parties with our friends from school. I highly recommend a cheap plastik-play-kitchen out in the yard in the kids play area. Me and my friends and also my 3 daughters played much more with it than with the fancy one inside. Outside the kids can play cooking much better with real water, mud, dirt, leaves, flowers and so on. The kritters can eat some of the creations. It is way more fun that way.

I have six kids and four of them are in June. We have one in July and August. Right now we have to combine all their birthdays. We don’t live near family so it would be hard on them to travel more then once. I feel we will have to separate them next year because six kids celebrating on one day would be much. I can relate about the water - I don’t mind getting in myself but I don’t like my kids around it. I will take them to the pool but every time we look at a house we try to find one without a pool. I do give each kid a different theme for the party. We just did a dinosaur, Cars (the movie), and carousel horses themed party. I used to do this kind of stuff for other kids so I want to do it for my own. If I could I would do separate parties.

I have a fraternal twin brother. Growing up we shared a birthday cake. When I got married my husband was shocked to learn that I had never had my own birthday cake. Of course, he got me a cake for my birthday then. Since then I do not really want a cake. I just like going to the grocery store and picking out a special dessert for myself. Sometimes for my birthday my husband and son make me cupcakes. So I totally understand about twins' birthday. It's great your twins get their own birthday cake and special theme. They will remember that and be glad you took the time to get them each their own cake and special theme. My son's birthday is five days before Christmas and we keep his birthday and Christmas separate.

Our two have birthdays 8 days apart and we always do birthday parties with the family together. But we give gifts from us on their actual birthday. This was the first year they each had separate friend parties but they were turning 5 and 7 and the 7 year old really didn't want all their friends together so we went with that. Not sure about the future- it's a lot of parties and celebrating over a short period of time !

My sister and I are a month apart and have two cousins with birthdays between us. The family party was always done together and none of us minded. My sister and I sometimes had our “friend” party together and sometimes separate. It was always up to us. We had a lot of friends in common who would be at both parties if they were separate so a lot of times we would want to do a party together because it meant we could do something a little more expensive.

I totally understand your fear of water...I have a great fear and I stress even more when the kids are around water. Even at the swimming pool. Who says it's relaxing?...wrong!!! I was thrown in a river and couldn't swim and to this day I still can't swim and I'm 66 yrs old!

I have 2 boys born on the same day but 2 years apart and as they got old we would celebrate one son’s birthday the day before and one on the day. Each picked their birthday dinner and they always picked their own cake. Also had 2 other sons one born 4 days before these two and another one 4 days after. Very busy time 😃

I have 3 boys. 2 of them are, their birthday is 5 days apart. The third one is 3 weeks before... all three get 1 big party. The oldest is 5, maybe when they are older we will do things differently but for now, one party.

We have a 5 yr old and 3 yr old who have a birthday within the same week and we’ve always celebrated them together. We’ve even offered in the past to do separate parties and they continue to want parties together. We do separate themes, though. Does make it easier for family that’s traveling here to come to both parties at once.

My husband celebrated 4 birthdays in July growing up and they shared birthday parties. Now we have 2 March birthdays within 2 weeks of each other and my husband refuses to celebrate them together because growing up he preferred to celebrate his day without sharing a party.

My brother and I have birthdays on the 16th and 18th of Dec. My mom did our birthdays together several years. I'm 10 years older, so we had different themes, but always at the same time, until I aged out of birthday parties. Now we do dinner on our respective birthday day and call it good enough lol

My sister has three girls. Two of them were born February 2nd & February 5th. They have combined their birthday party for family, but have their own seperate parties with their friends. She usually focuses on when they want their parties with their friends & the family party happens when it works out. So it isn't necessarily at the beginning of February. Her other daughter has a birthday on July 3rd & my sister's birthday is June 30th. They are usually at their lake house at this time, so we have celebrated the family birthday for both of them at Lake Blue Ridge!! 🎈🎁 Hope your kids have a very Happy Birthday!!!

I have 3 babies born in August. 8/5, 8/21, and 8/31. Right now we do one big party but as they get older I’m open to having one day be about them. Ex: one kid wants to go skating on their birthday, or one kid wants to go to an amusement park or shopping, etc. We wouldn’t have a party in that case. We would just do what they wanted for the day.

I came into your vlog world a little bit before Benjamin’s adoption. I cannot believe the twins are 5 or that Rosie is 11! I love the different themes chosen by the twins - so perfect! I’m looking forward to seeing the themes brought to life.

All of my 8 kids have birthdays lumped together minus my youngest boy and my oldest girl. 2 of them are 3 days apart, another set is 10 days apart and then the other 2 are 3 weeks apart. It's a nightmare. LOL. But it's never boring.

As one of the twins I always shared birthday celebration, I must say that sometimes I truly wanted to have a celebration only for myself. Later my other brother is only a few days before ours birthday and I'm looking at it as a special occasion and opportunity to share a special day with another sibling. I also have 5 siblings and all of us including parent have birthdays within only 4 months. So it's not even possible to celebrate it all seperetly.

Feb 15-Feb 17…our first two kids of 6. We did combined until the oldest turned 9 and didn’t want little brothers friends with her friends so it’s been separate ever since. One gets the party the weekend before and one the weekend after. Oh and my Husband is ten days later, which means 3 weekends of birthdays in the shortest month of the year lol

We sang to our twins together, but they did their candles individually. They also got their own cakes: #1-Minnie Mouse princess, rainbow cake in pinks and pastels, 2 tier: vanilla strawberry flavour #2-Black cat face, chocolate cake. They couldn’t have been more different, but they are still talking about it a few weeks later.

My baby sister's birthday is the day after mine. When I was a kid there were def years that I hated sharing with her and would get so upset. That being said as adults we have driven 2 hours each to meet in the middle for our birthday, it def created a special bond between us and I wouldn't change a thing about my birthday buddy parties
save your judgement about my life choices....😉
