Here are my most controversial roller coaster & theme park opinions!
As theme park and roller coaster enthusiasts we are always discussing our thoughts on parks and new rides and more! However, some opinions are a little controversial and are not popular within the community, such as - RMC roller coasters are overhyped! The Grand National should be RMC'd! Rita isn't THAT bad! Inversions are just as good as airtime! Here are some of my controversial theme park and roller coaster options - DISCUSS! What are yours?

I’m definitely grateful for them too, such an innovative manufacturer and their coasters are mostly awesome, I just think they’re not as elite as most people say personally which is controversial. What are some of your controversial opinions?

@@billybob33366 unfortunately not had the chance to visit cedar point just yet, I’m hoping to visit in the next year or two, i want to get there before Gemini gets removed because I like the look of that classic arrow

I'll say that one of my controversial opinions, speaking of RMC is that Raptors are a better, more exciting ride than the converted IBox rides. I'm lucky to have both at my home park, but to me Wonder Woman FOC is a far more memorable ride than Twisted Colossus. And a step further is that the original Colossus is a better ride than TC is at present. As far as manufacturers go, I prefer B&M over RMC but my favorite manufacturer will always be Arrow. To me, nothing will beat the era of Arrow Megaloopers. I've ridden them new. I've ridden them aged and a bit rougher, and I will always prefer them over other styles. There's something about the wildness of Arrow design that's really appealing to me. It feels more thrilling because the G-Forces aren't as controlled as with heartlining. People tend to talk about Arrow design being cut and paste with elements, but the same can really be said of all manufacturers. They all have their bag of tricks and basically just re-order them.

I do have a soft spot for arrow, they were so innovative and created so many awesome models, I just wish their coasters held up a bit better to modern standard and were a little smoother

Opinion: Alton towers (the place that has the record braking smiler (14 inversions)) is better than any six flags park

I think it’s definitely better in terms of theming and immersion and atmosphere of the park however in terms of thrills and coasters, there are definitely some six flags parks like great adventure and magic mountain that offer far better coaster collections

My controversial opinion is that intamin zac spins are actually good coasters. I have only ridden one of them (kirnu at Linnanmäki) but that one had a nice puncy layout

I’ve heard the larger models are actually pretty decent but the smaller ones don’t seem to spin that much, to me they just look like a worse version of the S&S 4D free spins

I don't like B&Ms outside of early inverts. Not terrible not great just meh. I think Lightning Rod is overrated. It's good but I think Outlaw Run is better. I prefer most CCIs over GCIs if they don't jackhammer, I like the healthy dose of crazy CCI packed in their woodies. My favorite invert is the Vekoma GIB, only one in the US that's left is Aftershock at Silverwood. I do really like RMC because they take terrible woodies and create such great rides out of them, it's probably more the contrast between old and new than anything else. Although they aren't largely cloned either so each one is different in every park which I think is really cool.

Lots of nice opinions here! I also think that the Vekoma GIB coasters are very underrated and agree that early intense inverts are the best they’re so awesome

Yesssss!! I love seeing other people agree with me about how rmc is overrated. I also think rmcing any CCI should be illegal lol. People who want the Boss Rmc'd are out of their minds.

I do love some RMCs I just think that the hype they get is insane and not every RMC is elite some are just good coasters

My number 2 and 3 coasters are Lightning Rod and Storm Chaser respectively, so when I rode my third RMC, Twisted Timbers, I expected it to be about as good if not as good as them, only to be disappointed and not even consider it a top 20 coaster. I didn’t like how it felt compared to the other two, it’s hard to explain exactly what I mean but it felt like each element wasn’t delivering the forces they looked like they would. This has me worried that every RMC built from 2018 onwards is gonna feel like this, my 4th should be Steel Vengeance cuz I live in Ohio, so hopefully it doesn’t disappoint and I won’t also come to the conclusion that RMC is overrated 😣

I think RMCs are good but some aren’t as good as people like to say, they aren’t all elite, some are just decent coasters

I have heard some people say this to be honest, it’s not a massively airtime focussed RMC so if you go in with those expectations I can see why people prefer other RMCs over it

my controversial opinions: 1. boomerangs and slc's are pretty good imo. you just have to use a strategy to eliminate headbanging. plus they can be very intense 2. rmc = overrated 3. coasters that are a bit rough can be very fun. just don't be a snowflake when a coaster has a slight rattle or is a bit rough 4. disney sucks

Alright, just stating my opinions: I agree, Rita isn’t bad, in fact it’s my number 3 in the park and I also think Thirteen is overrated I do think RMC is controversial, either they are really good or they are underwhelming, but I have Intamin and B&M over them and I think if Vekoma releases their Hyper model they will be over RMC too, I also think Vekoma giga model (if they made one) could be the best coasters in the world period

@@CoasternautYT I personally think that Cedar Fair parks are overrated, I’ve been to one only and that was Kings Dominion, the only part I really liked was I305, that’s my number one and cedar fair considers its creation a mistake and Twisted Timbers I thought was very overrated and not actually that good, I think that Smiler is actually better, also in the airtime area Airtime is another thing that is overlooked, I think it’s great but it shouldn’t be the main focus of a ride, maybe 2-3 good moments (why I like the Smiler so much) and I love inversions more than airtime and intensity it tied with inversions for best forces for me

@@CoasternautYT Glad you agree 😊, by the way, just an idea, you could talk about like what your dream park would be or like make your own coaster manufacturer, making a manufacturer is difficult but it’s so much fun, I did one and It’s called ‘ParkerPulse Thrills’ I had a lot of fun making it but it took me awhile, one of my models had 5 cars on each train and each car had different seating/restraints, one had lap bars, then OTSR (Over the shoulder restraints and one had vest restraints, then the 4th one spun and the back one faced backwards and I called it the ‘PPT Multi-Car Model’, but those are just some ideas, can’t wait for the next video, you’re growing really fast too and I’m glad, are you excited for Hyperia btw?, (I still like the name Project Exodus more even if they just removed the project part and it was just called Exodus)

Flamingo Land is by far the most underrated UK theme park, and has a very promising future, so much so that it will be recognised to be one of the UK's very best theme parks (I already prefer it to BPB)

I definitely agree here too, I think with one or two more good coaster or ride additions it could be a very good park, just needs some better operations in my opinion

I’ve not had the chance to ride it yet, it doesn’t look elite to me but still looks a bit punchier than a family coaster although admittedly I have heard the coaster can crawl over some of the hills and the forces aren’t great

@@CoasternautYT it makes the list of my most disappointing coasters and I’ve been around a long time riding hundreds of coaster, there is zero theming and it just feels like an open air pleasure for families, fun ride but seriously overhyped.

My Controversial opinion is that Maverick at ceder point is very over rated the most over rated Roller coaster in the United states and also Mystic Timbers T Kings island i still like them and Six flags Magic mountain 's Goliath and Six flags over Texas Titan very underrated just because it does not have that much air time the first drops do and the g force of the helix titan mostly are good and i love Millennium force as much as steal vengeance and Magnam xl 200 more then Maverick and i think the most Controversial is Bush Gardens tampas iron Gwizai is not as good as Six flags over Texas New Texas giant or Six flags MM Twested colossus or Six flags Great Adventure 's Jersy Devel or six Flag fiesta Texas Ian rattler or Six flags Great Americas Goliath

Here are mine: Mystic Timbers is the worst major coaster at Kings Island Twisted Colossus is by far the best ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and does not need to duel to be good Raging Bull is the worst B&M hyper by far Mystery Mine is 3rd best coaster at Dollywood after Lightning Rod and Big Bear Mountain Kumba is the worst coaster in Florida, and is forceless and unbearably rough X2 is the worst coaster in California Steel Vengeance is #4 at Cedar Point after Top Thrill Dragster at 1, Maverick at 2 and Millennium Force at #3 Skyrush is #3 at Hersheypark
