New subscriber. I'm 52 yrs old. Mom of 3 . My youngest is 16. I am so looking forward to the day he leaves for college. Why ? I can't wait to go back to the days of living life in a studio !! I already have so many ideas !! A boho pad yet extremely feminine since it will finally be just me !! Born and raised in Chicago your place is reminiscent of my 1st apartment. It's so ironic that is what I dream about experiencing again in my golden years. Now I live in Henderson Nevada and apartments are not as old and vintage and unique as Chicago and New York but I still can't wait . You are living the life and I promise you will always remember this. Enjoy !!

Lived on Cornelia Street b/4 Taylor Swift lived across the street. So, back then the Cornelia Street Cafe and Po were the in hip restaurants. So sad they are gone. And Faicco's was a "Pork Store", not "Italian Specialties" store. And every store on Bleecker Street has changed over. There is a loss of Italian restaurants and loss of Village flavor literally. But a few things remain.

Cute apt! I live in Queens and youre sooo right about the heatin durin winter Im also in shorts and tank top bc it gets sooo hot!! Theres a few days that it gets really cold but most of the time we dont need so much heatin and I live just on the fourth fl🤦🏻‍♀️

Have you considered creating an account for New York City Housing Connect? You can apply to newly constructed building. The more buildings you apply to the higher your chance of getting an apartment. Just click apply. Plus the apartments are income based.

@@LeaNezz I live in Bronx, NY. But there are also many newly constructed buildings in New York City, including Manhattan, where one bedroom apartments for $1,500 to $1,800 or more/less. Sometimes one bedroom apartments are less than $1,500. There are no mice or roaches.

I recommend that you go to NYC housing connect and create a profile and click apply to all your apartments in Manhattan that you're interested in. With newly constructed buildings, people normally don't pay more than 30% of their income in rent. For $2,000, some people are getting a two-bedroom apartment.
