My Cozy Car Living Lifestyle In Upstate New York

My name is Arslan and I’ve been living in vehicles for the past few years. My journey of alternative living began after I was fed up with the high cost of rent in the United States. I fell in love with the idea of living on the road, so over the years, I converted a sprinter van, a Camaro and most recently been living in my 2014 chevy suburban camper car. I enjoy making KZbin videos and recording my different experiences to share with you guys. I’m also a nurse half days of the week because I have a significant passion for helping people.
In This video: We go off-grid camping in the mountains of upstate NY, cook steak, eat, relax and talk about camper life.

You have a bigger place than the last video i watched . I bet you're loving the extra room. I love how you decorated it, it looks more homey. I just subbed , i enjoy your video's. Makes me want to sell my house , get a van and hit the road ! No house payments, no high cable tv bill , no elecric bill, no house insurance, no heat bill, no $400 water, sewer and trash bill. No bills, only gas , cell phone and car insurance for bills. Id be saving so much money and no outsite yard chores. 😂No mowing the grass or snowblowing snow in my driveway, no trimming the trees. I'd save a lot more money than just my house payment . Im retired and have a lot equity in my home if i sold it and i get Social Security and pension, so if im living in a van i dont have to work . Im retired, so i can hit the road and travel the country and see the grand canyon and other places . With no bills to pay and living on the road would truly feel like freedom. I'd have to decorate it cute inside so it looks like home. Sorry, so long. You've inspired me and i cant find any tv shows I like ,so id rather watch your video's and other people living in their cars, vans, suv's ... i enjoy your videos .

I’m retired as well, and understand where you’re coming from. Please watch other videos too. I’ve watched several videos of older women who have no choice but to do this and it’s very hard on them. Arsalan (sp?), is young and healthy and physically fit. This lifestyle is easier for him. You may be too, but if you’re susceptible to health issues, i can’t think of anything scarier than to needing an operation only to recuperate in your camper house. I admire him and I wish you well.

Nurses rock! I was just in the hospital for a week with a partial foot amputation and sepsis due to a non healing diabetic foot wound.. I told all the cool nurses about your channel! Every single nurse was soo kind to me during my ordeal. I was planning to live in my minivan, a 21 Pacifica, but that has been put on hold until my foot heals, if it ever does heal, the saw happy plastic surgeon feels I would benefit from a BKA but I said NO! I will give it more than 7 days to heal! He was ready after only a week, well, 4 days really, he was ready to chop my leg off! I'll give it a year..wound vac now off and on with another dressing with Collagen and silver...then maybe I can live in my van!!! Wish me luck!

Love it! I would recommend putting the meat on a plastic cutting board instead of wood. The wood is more porous and can harbor bacteria. Especially since you don't have hot water to clean it. Just a thought 😊

Good point. Though I do believe new studies are showing that plastic cutting boards are putting microplastic in our food. I used to use glass, but it dulls knives. Sometimes it feels like we can’t win.

Imo, I wouldnt install a rear cargo carrier. I removed mine, because of high elevation mountains & backroad bumps ... the rear carrier can drag and create more problems than just damage to the carrier. Instead, I just added a Thule Motion LG Cargo Carrier to my Rav4. I also added the glueon 360 degree, NEW Bouge 100w CIGS solar panel to the top of the Thule. Watched soooo many youtube reviews on this new CIGS Panel and I was sold! They are more expensive than the old semi-flex Renology Panels for many good reasons. Like lack of hotspots. Too many flexible panels get too hot of roofs, not CIGS. They are not made of glass. Cars & trucks literally run over them without damage to them & they are waterproof! You cant even see my panel on top of my Thule Cargo Carrier. I love it! ❤

Hey. I wasn't always a vegan/vegetarian - just since 1989. When I used to cook steak the trick is to not use pepper till it's off the heat because searing temperature will burn the pepper (and some other spices) and impart a bitter taste. Salting it raw is good tho :D

The Vegas Strip and the beautiful Red Rock Canyon and your absolutely delicious salmon and asparagus dinner you prepared (one of my favorites). I saw another car camper run a bungee cord from the middle seat ceiling handles and then used it to hang things on. They even used it to clothespin stuff on and act as a clothesline to dry clothes and hand towels! Cool idea for some extra storage 👍
