I love how slow you everything do. In my langauge there is a proverb 'Jak się człowiek śpieszy, to się diabeł cieszy' which basically means 'Devil is glad when you're in hurry'. I have absolutely no idea how to translate it but it points out that living fast and not taking time to be present is not good for you

I envy people that can speak different languages. Here in America, I love seeing young people speak English but then speak their native language to their parents or grandparents. My sister-in-law's mother was born in France. Her American husband would not allow her to teach her native language to the children. What a loss. I know you will do well on the exam because you have such willingness to learn. What a wonderful gift to be able to communicate with others in a different language. By the way, the spring roll looked delicious:))

That's so very sad she could not pass that on! My Spanish is best when I'm speaking with my grandparents, but I wish I was more proficient in it every day! I can only just hold a conversation. Unfortunately, the only really effective way I learn languages is by speaking, so studying Spanish didn't do me much good. My mom tried her best to teach me, but I was stubborn as a child and wanted to only speak English! I regret it! I hope to teach my children Spanish someday
