It usually triggers when someone plans to attacks him (unless the plot requires him to be snuck up on) or something moves towards him at fast speeds, which technically would mean that it'd trigger if he were moving fast towards something instead (as, with him as the referential, it'd be the same thing), but that'd mean that his spider sense is always active whenever he's swinging around, and nothing in the game indicates that.

@@chaoticstarfish3401 This is more of a fan idea without concrete evidence but I like to imagine his spider-sense has different degrees of severity depending on the situation, in the comics they even help him play cards and when to flip a pancake. There's the "hard" sense when he's in immediate danger (the flashier one we see) and a softer one that works as a generalized detection of danger. He's subconsciously trained himself to head towards the danger to protect others. In the games sometimes a crime will show up without a notification and in my headcanon that's Spidey detecting it himself without a visualized flash. Again no proof but something I've always thought made sense for him, no pun intended.

@@Dalton_Boardman2000 The truth is that it varies depending on the writer, and it's always inconsistent in my experience-which I can't really fault the writers for, as it's an already unclear superpower in its premise-; even in the PS4 game, Scorpion, wearing armor and a massive stinger, manages to sneak up on Spider-Man, and the only apparent reason he was spotted was because he literally shouted "I'm behind you!". He then also gets a hit in, which Spider-Man definitely should've "sensed" and prevented.

Awsome vid, love the beginning part when you loop de loop around the bridge, Insomiac crafted the best traversal in any spiderman game its amazing, really dont get why people are complaining so much about the web wings like sure you can just fly every where but so ? You can literally just point lauch every where or just air dashing every without even needing to swing, But what thr fun in that, really dont get the complaint.
