Amanda, my wife is a retired high school science who when working had to go through "armed intruder response" drills several times a year. I always told her to grab the lab dry chemical fire extinguisher & keep it with her as the best available weapon. An intruder hit by the fire extinguisher powder under pressure will be blinded & inhaling the fine powder will quickly stop lung function.

I always wondered how you could sail with a hardtop between you and the sails. So much of sailing is visible, seeing sail shape, wind direction, etc.. The addition of a clear section in the top makes a lot of sense.

Bobby, here's a thought.... as tech heavy as this new boat is, think the same as flying a plane.... maybe you need to collaborate with the builders and create a checklist(s) binder. For startup, while under sail, troubleshoot checklists for the different systems.... etc. And by that, I mean hard copy checklists like you have in a plane. Not just on your phone.... Otherwise, lookin good!!

A note about self protection - get the brightest flashlight you can find (within reason). It's such an effective deterrant if you're getting that shone right in your eyes. Also there are tactical flashlights that have aluminium boddies an "crown" style surrounds, pretty effective. Also, don't be where there are problems, probably the best option! Love the new boat, there will always be teething issues, no big deal.

Every time Bobby releases a new video our flight safety officer sends me a link with a message: "We screwed up something along the way." 😂😂😂 Seriously, awesome boat, I like the fact it's electric. One thing you could change in the kitchen is to replace gas burners with induction. Your battery packs should handle it. I am also pleased that you are exposing all of the quirks, bugs and features of the hull no1. I am sure it's frustrating, but eventually everything will get sorted out. And finally, your crew is amazing. Lauryn is pleasant addition to the team, very warm personality and looks of Lara Croft.

55 years of electronics service made me realize that electronics on boats in a salt water environment is a recipe for failure. Sailed a J36 for 25 years. All of my electronics were hand held , and not stored on the boat. Glad you figured it out. You need a pre sail checklist for the electronic systems on that boat.

I had most of the networked systems swapped out on my boat, other than chart plotter and the auto helm ......went back to more analog, or non networked systems. What you are doing today, it isn't a shake down, it is your future. Lucky I had diesels, so made it a bit easier. I lived it brother........that technology just isn't compatible with the demands and the environment that you live in a sail boat. Not a brand thing, but the entire philosophy. Software glitches are a lot trickier to fix than say a bad motor or pump. I hope you re-think the networked systems approach. I enjoy your channel.

Great video. My OCD , chief side laughed at Lauran high dive egg drop.😂 A OCD, tip for makeing nice fried eggs is this. Crack the eggs in a small bowl first. Then pour each egg out " slowly" that way, the yoke and whites wouldn't, splatter out super thin. Our crack, and open the egg slowly down all most touching the pad. The yokes, will stay closer and the eggs will be easier to flip or slide out.
