Hey Renee, good morning. I use Wen so I don’t need any info on hair care products. 😉 I love your stories ab your pups. I first found your post ab adopting Pollux and fell n love w/ your attitude ab him and Maxie & animals n particular. You seem to b a kind soul. Even though I don’t need this info I thought I’d stop by & give u an upvote bc you’re always trying to help ppl and u have a fun & encouraging attitude . 🥳 We need more ppl like you. May your day b blessed as you sure do bless others. 💖 I was reading a few of the other comments and realized I forgot to mention you do have beautiful hair. Mine is baby fine and I’m losing more and more of it as I age. (Thyroid disease and stress/Depression adds to the issue & I’ve just given up)

I am a big fan of your channel. I wanted to give you a heads up on a product you recommended but I didn’t know where else to send it, I looked for an email. so I am putting it on your latest video in the hopes you will see it. I bought the fryer you recommended. It came today, looked great. Nice recipe booklet. And it has great reviews. I followed the instructions and let it preheat for 10 minutes to get rid of “strange odor” the manual actually says that. Ok, fine, a plasticy odor at first, I can deal with that. Well, the toxic smell filled up our entire 2 story house. I can tell that it will continue to smell like that if we continue to use it. I had to go outside for fresh air. My son and I opened every window we could, the smell is still all over. Smells don’t bother me, well this was horrendous. I am returning it today. So at least some of these units have an unacceptable toxic smell, mine certainly did, far beyond what a reasonable person would expect from a new appliance. I thought you’d want to know. Love your channel & I love your curls and all your videos, including the cooking ones. Please continue giving recommendations, I find them very helpful and they have all been great so far, it’s just this one item.

Maybe an odd request. Can you tell me about your relationship with your curls around 12-13yrs old?? I have soft fine curls and I just wash, scrunch and go. I have a daughter that is 12. She has extraordinarily thick very curly hair. She often looks like Side Show Bob from the simpsons. Currently she is using a good shampoo and conditioner, but I can't get her to condition every day yet. I think what she needs is a really heavy leave in conditioner to weigh her curls down because her hair literally expands all day until she resembles an umbrella. I want her hair to look natural, not crunchy. So what was life like with curls when you were a tween??
@dustykeele3 жыл бұрын
@Jamie Salvucci I would bet money your daughter touches her hair all day, and maybe even runs her fingers through it. That would explain her hair expanding. Until she learns to embrace her curls and keep her hands off them, that won't change. But she'll probably have to hear that from someone other than "mom" because of course she is reaching the age where she won't listen to anything you have to say. Good luck!

The one thing I stopped doing in middle age was unfortunately too many years after I began doing it in my teens and that was: Wrapping a plush towel around my head, turban-style, to soak up as much water as possible then keeping it on through my makeup application. Wet hair, as we know, is very elastic. As the towel absorbs water it becomes increasingly heavier, pulling at the hair, especially around the hairline, eventually developing those little wisps most of us have noticed....but never could quite figure out how they got there. The towel is one possible reason for them.

My hair is short and straight, except for the 5,000 cowlicks I also possess - which do some weird things to my style. Some good, some questionable LoL! Do you have any cowlicks?

Hi Renee you inspired me to try and go gray and it first it was really difficult I tried to cut Corners by going to the salon and seeing if I can't just dye my hair gray but that was going to cost like over $1,000 because my hair isn't completely gray so I just had to suck it up and go do it naturally which is a whole lot less expensive but if it wasn't for your videos I probably would still be coloring my hair and now that I see I need the purple shampoo so thank you for that also I have a question for you why do you use the other shampoo if you have the purple shampoo don't they work the same
@lorenenoe44723 жыл бұрын
My experience is too much purple shampoo is too much, like she said, it turns into a purple haze, that’s why only every 3 shampoos or so, just experiment to find what’s best for you...once a month is plenty for my hair, now almost white in one year. 🌸
@WelcomeToMyCurls3 жыл бұрын
Hi Veronica!! Thank you for the kind words. The transition can be tough....but it's so worth it in the end. If I use the purple shampoo with every way, my hair takes on a purple tint. It's too much purple! I only use it every 3 shampoos. That's the perfect balance for me. For you, it may be more often or less often...but you'll quickly figure it out. Hope that helps!

I have weird hair: It's pretty straight on the top, then wavy from just above my ears on down. I've been working from home since March, and my current hair routine is similar to yours, Renee; I just scrunch it and let it air dry. I use hair comb clips and barrettes to wave-set the straighter hair around the top of my face. Do you think your curls products would work on body waves, too?
@tammyhartsell17353 жыл бұрын
Hi Renee, I don't even have curly hair but I am curious what you do on the days you don't wash your hair. Don't the curls get a little flat or something after sleeping on them? I'm sure curly hair girls would like to know.
@juliemackenzie19783 жыл бұрын
Wow! That is quite the hair regimen....all I do..is wash my hair & put a little gel in my hair. I have it so easy compared to you. ;) But, I have straight hair. Totally apples & oranges. :)
@thejourney13693 жыл бұрын
Hi Renee! Could you share what you do between shampoos? I’ve found as I’ve gotten older (I hit 64 this month), I don’t need to shampoo daily anymore. But I have what we country folk call a cow lick at the crown of my head. My hair is very dry, so I tend to let it air dry if I’m going curly. I like to change it up between curly and straight. But that area is so tangled when I get up in the mornings. It’s so bad that I call it a rat’s nest because it’s so tangled and sticks out all over my head in that area. I have to comb it out. I just don’t see a way around it. But I usually use a spray bottle when I’m done to dampen my hair and scrunch it again.

I love how your hair looks so I decided to try the purple shampoo. My hair is white, not gray so when I put the purple shampoo on my hair it turned lavender. It took 2 or 3 weeks to get the lavender out. I returned the shampoo. It looks great on you but not on me. Lol.

Good reminder of why I keep my naturally curly hair short. I just don't have the time anymore to go through this type of routine. I used to just put it into ponytails, ect., rather than do my hair like you do. I do miss being able to french braid it, but otherwise, I'm ok with keeping it short. i'm not taking anything away from you. Just doin' what works for me.
