I found you from your comment on JLBs criticism video this morning. I enjoyed this video SO much! Our youngest has been in S. Korea since 2015ish...and the first year was SO hard! We still miss her so much! But she comes home for Christmas every year, except the pandemic years. I LOVE the way James teaches! I have done 3 of his Virtual Voyages and we are currently doing No. 6. I wonder if you are there! I hope you come back to putting things up on youtube! :)

Thank you for coming back and sharing. Your journals are always inspiring to me. I am glad that you don't apologize for taking time to regroup. Everybody should understand that. I have watched your older videos repeatedly and learn something different every time. I especially love the comp book and covers since that is what I work in mostly.

Hi. I have only just seen you have a new video out. so lovely to see you. You always inspire me to do my own journalling more regularly. I totally understand how you feel, missing your daughter. so big hugs from one Mum to another. I just love your style and have missed your videos. Seeing your pages inspire me to do more than just write line by line. Branching out to draw and mind map and use big bold letters would emphasize my important moments so much better. I don’t have kids so don’t know how you feel with your daughter away but hope your heart finds its new normal soon so you feel better.💞

This is the first video I've seen of yours. I found it very interesting. There's so much stuff in there lol. I recently started junk journaling, which is quite different from the journaling you do. I just wanted you to know that your video gave me new ideas. I want to try your ideas when making a journal for each of my children and grandchildren. Ty so much for sharing. You inspire me to try something new/different.

My sweet sweet Melanie! How much I’ve missed your videos! Life is super busy around here, but seeing your video pop up the other day was a huge “to do” task I needed to add to my repertoire. Girl, you’ve been a busy bee! And I bet there are tons more you have not shared. You’re an inspiration and a creativity booster for us all. Anything you do is infused with so much beauty. Speaking of tea, you must try out August Uncommon teas. Check them out and order the top ten sample box. I think you’ll be hooked on them just as I am, and like you I am a huge coffee drinker. Cannot wait to see more of you. Sorting buttons should be a fun one.

I find myself with lot of free time lately, Donna, so I'm usually just sitting here journaling and playing all day. Sometimes I think I really need to go get a job because I have too much time on my hands. I think I was more productive when I had to keep to a regular schedule. 😊

Hello Melanie, good to see from you again! Thank you for sharing, I have a quick question, where do you go to estate sales? I live in the DFW area but never seem to find anything interesting around... maybe a video idea about estate sales guide? Just saying! I love your content and how authentic you are! Thanks again! 🤗

I signed up for emails from estatesales.net and that's where I find almost all the sales I go to. You just put in your zip code and they email you current and upcoming sales in your area. That's how I've found all the good ones I've been to!

I’m not sure, but she might be using an HP Sprocket portable photo printer. I just got mine yesterday, I bought it on HSN but Amazon also has it.

Actually, I just use my computer and printer to size and print all my photos. I have a really nice Epson photo printer (Artisan 1430) but it's discontinued. I use the Corel graphics suite (Draw, Photo-Paint) rather than Adobe (Photoshop), but I size all my photos in Corel Draw and print them from there. I LOVE the matte photo papers from Red River Paper Company, but lately I've been using full-sheet, glossy label paper from onlinelabels.com to print sticky pictures. Hope that helps!

Loved your pixar journal alot!! Does he have cheaper classes though? 😔😔 and what size was the notebook and brand please xx
@MelanieSullivan3 жыл бұрын
James' classes are a bit on the pricey side. I think his Playtest Patreon series that you can buy as classes are less expensive. If you do decide to splurge on one of his classes, you won't go wrong with Virtual Voyage IV, the Pixar Cruise. The journal I used for the VVIV/Pixar class is a Strathmore softcover mixed media journal. It's 7.75" x 9.75" , so almost an 8x10". I REALLY liked it and have already ordered another one. amzn.to/3noXZzN

Where is the red journal from?
@MelanieSullivan2 жыл бұрын
The red one on the top of the stack at the beginning of the video is a Seven Seas Crossfield notebook from Nanami Paper. www.nanamipaper.com. It has the "new" Tomoe River paper inside and it doesn't feel anything like the Tomoe River paper Hobonichi uses. It's more opaque and stiffer, or crisper. I also have more issues with inks bleeding through the paper than with the Hobonichi Tomoe River. It's still an awesome notebook though.

Observations while watching this video - you obviously have more than 24 hours in your days, or you don't sleep. I was wondering how you could afford to buy all the things you mentioned buying, but then you mentioned your husband's occupation so that question was answered. I wonder what line I was standing in when God was giving out talents...apparently not the same line you were in! LOL! My line was probably for being able to appreciate talented people like you. Enjoy your videos and periodically try things "a la Melanie"!

46:17 did you order the Cousin so it look like this photo of the fat used Cousin??? Because I did when I saw similar photos😂😂😂😂😂. I ended up using my Cousin as an artjournal and I love it's fatiness😂😂😂 P.S. You could use up your 2015 Cousin just as a journal, just don't pay attention to the dates! Do it!
@MelanieSullivan3 жыл бұрын
Oh, how I'd love to have a journal that fat and chunky! Maybe if I can find an old Hobonichi on sale somewhere I could use it as a glue book and see how fat I could get it!
