ADVICE: for someone with such oily skin, always put make up on just washed face... with no oils on it! So that with powder you put on foundation you will prevent the oile ever coming out, not just hide it. Either wash it right before even just with clean water, or with micelar water. Never do this cause you don't do anything actually.

Have you thought about or tried using a mattifying/oil balancing primer before your foundation? Could help with the shine

Jen, I just loved this video...you seemed so relaxed and at ease with us, I felt like you were chatting to a room of pals while you put on your makeup! Don't let anyone touch your brows...you could regret it when you are older. I think they are perfect the way they are. When you start plucking, waxing, etc...they will thin out later on and not be attractive. Keep yours youthful looking. You look great and I like your makeup. You look natural, yet glowing.

So true, heavy dark brows make a person look young. Age comes soon enough. Almost all people lose their eyebrows as they age, with most of the exceptions being men. My husband had dark brows like yours and his are now about 5 shades lighter in color and very thin. But he had thick hair on his head, still does but all gray now, but started going gray at 34.

JMO, but you should put make up on a freshly washed face. Don't let your face get oily and then put make up over oil. That will clog your pores and give you break outs.

I liked how you blended your eye shadows so softly with the E 52 brush. I know I will be buying that brush. Thanks for that tip. I love the Matte makeup. I can not wear any shimmer/glimmer at all because a 60 year old woman shouldn't try to look like you youngsters. Could someone tell me if the Tarte blush has any sparkles in it ???? I love getting my eyebrows threaded. I never do it myself. Because I am scared I'll overdue it. The key is too tell them to just clean up your brows. This way they follow the natural line of your brow.

Have you tried the Clinique liquid facial soap cleanser for oily skin? It's very good if you're having some trouble in that area, wash face with just plain tepid water, then use that and leave skin to aerate overnight. Then also after you've applied your foundation, I would use powder before you put on your eyeshadow,to further minimise shine :)

The foundation looks as if it might be oily...do you feel like it holds up pretty good during the day, even under your powder?

NIKKI B It doesn't feel oily to me. If I'm wearing it for more than 8 hours I usually powder again at that point.

OOhh, saw the Tartlette in the thumbnail and had to watch. Can't get it here in Ireland and love it (don't want to pay postage!), I watch every Tartlette demo. Just bought the 2 L'Oreal La Nude palettes and happy with them. The colours seem a little chalky, I can see the dust rising as you use them.Loved your GRWM look, thanks xx Mairead from Ireland

Love this look! As a busy mom of 5, I usually prefer a more natural look for running errands during the day and this is perfect for looking "done" but not "overdone." I know you would laugh, but you actually got me really into makeup. I've worn it since I was young, but it wasn't til I started watching your vids (you were the first KZbinr I ever subscribed to, several years ago!), that I got more interested in techniques. You also introduced me to TiffD which really got me hooked!

Shaped eyebrows do make a difference! At least you have nice thick eyebrows to groom. I have to pluck stray hairs AND draw in with a pencil & brow powder the last third of my brow Eyeliner challenges me too.. I think you look good with or without makeup. The natural look is great while you're young!!!

Were you thinking of Groucho Marx, regarding eyebrows?! :-) I love your full brows. I went for the thin look that was all the rage in the 90s, and now I wish I kept them thick. Threading is good, but they always do above the eyebrow which I hate, and now I am doing my own brows at home. I used castor oil for a few months to grow out, but the hair grew in patchy. My eyebrows need doing, actually. I just think yours are the perfect shape. If only they did eyebrow hair transplants, I'd be set...

Love this video. I hear you on your brows. My esthetician was on holidays so I tried another one. BIG mistake. This lady draws on a beautiful brow and waxes around it. That night when I went to remove my make-up ½ my brow was gone. I was horrified.

I watch makeup tutorials when I can because I need to know how to do eye makeup so much better for proms, jobs and pictures. I wish you could have talked less, it was distracting, when you talk a lot your voice gets so high.
