This is a FANTASTIC video. The machine used to process video is important. And, you succinctly fully covered all the components and why. Very well done. In fact, I'm using it as a template for a new pc I'm contemplating.

Thank you. Absolutely. When it comes to video editing the machine used can really speed up this process and make it more enjoyable and less frustrating.

Thanks for this video. I used to build my own pcs and with this video I believe you have caught me up on the last 15 years or so! I am going to use your video as a helpful reference. Keep up the good work! I dont know anything about NAS (?) so I would like to see a video about that? Hope you have a great day!

Very good job. Thank you. The RAM speed change due to filling all slots are shown in the video at 846, under the heading of Connectivity from the AMD website. It's great that you mentioned this when speaking about the ram at 1159. I have seen people missing that fact when building their PC. For those building for gaming, you don't need that much RAM and maybe not the X670 mobo. I built a similar system with a watercooled 7900X, EVGA 3070TI, 64GBs of G Skill Flare X5 RAM, Corsair RM1000e Gold in a Phanteks Eclipse G500A with the same mobo. I have 140mm fans throughout the case. It has a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB. I do very little editing at this time and have yet to add the other drives. It was a tough decision between the Asus Tuf and the Prime. If you don't need all the PCIe lanes, you should see if the B650 will work for you. I personally would not use a B650 for editing. For those with heavy cards, there are support brackets such as the MCA-U000R-GSBTG-00 from Cooler Master. That is ARGB, but I would hope that there are some without the LEDs.

Very informative and nice delivery. Tell us about the NAS. I need to buy or build one in the near future. Thanks.

That is a really nice rig. I wish you would have touched on total build price but no biggie I can look it up. I just bought the Mac Mini Pro for video editing. Amazing for the price. I tossed around building another rig but for the first time in 25 years I chose to buy retail. Just a really good deal for the power. I have a custom rig I have been running for 15 years. I did what you did basically, I future proofed it and then have just upgraded over the years. Works fine for everything but video just a little to slow for my work flow. Now I just connect both to one monitor and use as needed. I’ll have to read up on EVGA getting out of the card business I have never had a complaint using their products. Enjoyed seeing you’re build that makes me want to build another one 😂 I think I have built about 10 total in the last 20 years for myself and others. A lot of fun. Are you run it any battery backup?

Thank you. Build price overall with the price I paid for all of these components is about $3,000 USD but some of these components are priced a bit higher now and some a bit lower. The Mac Mini Pro devices are nice. A lot of power in a small form factor. I have liked those and the 14” MacBook which I have both used for editing. Sounds like you have experienced the joy of building a custom PC many, many times 😂 It is a lot of fun.

I am not currently running any battery backups but I do have an EcoFlow battery that I’ve considered rigging up as a UPS of sorts.

You mentioned that you have a whooping 24gig of Vram on your GPU and said it comes in handy depending on what you are doing? I'm needing to upgrade my GPU but having a hard time finding a KZbin video that explains what GPU features to look for using Photoshop with large photoshop Documents EG. large milky way Panoramas' which can be over 10 Gig in size! So if you can explain what components would help make editing these large Mega pixel Pano's and even photoshop files with large layer counts that would be very helpful

Thank you for your video. You mentioned that the Intel i9 13900KF might be another alternative. Unlike your AMD, it seems that the Intel 1700 socket may be at the end of its life. Also, isn't the AMD CPU newer architecture? You also mentioned using Apple products. Have you compared the Apple M2 Ultra to either the AMD or Intel CPU's? Have you had any experience using Parallels 19 on your Apple computers? If so, have you had any issues with Window 11 Pro drivers or keyboard functionality? Thank you. John
