Brother, good video, have you had to clean it yet and does 100% rubbing alcohol still work safely on the colors? I have mine on the way and don't want to rub off any colors. Also if you have to fix it at any point, are you gonna find a local shop to do repairs? I'm not sure what to do once I start having issues because Microsoft typically sends back a generic controller or console on warranty claims

I haven’t really cleaned it yet. I’ve noticed my sticks are starting to get a little dirty though. I may try the alcohol on them. The body and grips still look pretty good. It gets finger prints some but I just wipe it off with a cloth or a T-shirt. If it messes up and is under warranty I’ll send it back to Microsoft. Hopefully, I won’t have any trouble with it.

If it comes to it I would still peobicall them and ask before doing it, read horror stories of guys who sent in the Halo infinite console for repairs and got a base series x back. I rarely use my halo elite series so I haven't had to worry about dirt or a warranty but I want this custom to be my main go to so just looking ahead. Thanks for the review

still waiting on mine, I mostly went all blue with the exceptions of the buttons. Blue is my favorite color so I'm glad I got a blue elite controller now. Mine will have the multicolor buttons with the translucent letters. I'd like to do another Elite with a combination of Blue and Silver however.... I'm getting to far ahead of myself though as I got enough Xbox controllers at this point. I got the black that came with the Xbox series X, Sonic Blue, MY Designed Series controller, Forza Horizon 5 LE, Aqua Shift, Lunar Shift, Elite Series 1, Elite Series 2 and eventually my coming design Series 2. That's 9 Controllers. But I'd like to make one with Raspberry Pi and PC in mind too. Anytime they got a blue controller I felt tempted. but kinda swore after the release of the Forza controller I was done buying xbox controllers until an Elite Series 3 or a My design elite. But then Aqua Shift happen..... then the Lunar just looked so nice too... and now I getting my Design elite which will probably be my only controller thus going forward.

I ordered mines today I went with blue also but everything else black I wanted to go red but since I always wanted a blue controller I went ahead an went blue but I didn’t get the case for it either since I already got one but I will be getting it separate soon it only cost 69 bucks if you want the case later just go to design lad accessories

What is the texture of the faceplate and backplate? Is it like the black elite with the rubbery texture or the core with the plastic?

It seems to be more plastic feeling. It doesn’t leave finger prints like the black elite 2 I have does.

Why does it cost so much to add the case and accessories when the standard elite 2 comes with all that?

The Elite2 is full of major issues. Is it the same Quality Control for the Custom versions ? Will you say it to us if you encounter issues ? (With ABXY buttons, with the sticks, with the triggers...)

So far this one has been good. I had an original elite and had multiple problems with it. Triggers sticking and making noise. Rubber finish came off and I had to glue it back down. So far I’ve only had good experiences with my elite 2 controllers. I will update if that changes though.

@@CountryKratos Thanks for the honest and detailed feedback. The truth is that I am really embarassed to buy a 3rd Elite2 controller (classic black edition) with major issues never fixed by the After Selling Service (European one), as all other consummers. So I am wondering if the Quality Control is better for the Custom Elite2 or the same. Yes, please make reviews after 6 months of use, or if you experienced an issue before 6 months, or if you send it and receive it back to the ASS. PS : I wish they make an Elite3 with no issues... however it seems not to be the priority for the next years.

I don’t remember if it gave me that option or not. I logged into my account and didn’t see anything. I think the regular warranty is for 6 months.

So far, so good. The orange thumb sticks got a little dingy looking after some playtime. I cleaned them with rubbing alcohol and they look good as new.

It’s the elite 2 without the extra sticks and back paddles. It’s not a bad controller. No reason to add those when I already have them.
