Really great job raising Remi to be strong, brave, and independent! She got right back up after that fall - took it like a champ! ❤️

I've always wanted to go there, but I've never been able to make it there. Thanks so much for giving me a small glimpse into my teenage years again! A little history I have is my grandmother & Elvis both passed away on the same day. The day after my birthday, which is why I remember Elvis so much. I even made a ceramic bust of him for one of my friend's sister. She cried 😭 when she opened my gift 🎁

Elvis was a giving person, when a lady who lived in the projects in my home town wrote to him that she couldn't get anywhere because he old car broke down and she had been saving up to come and see him perform. He called the local Cadillac dealership and had a new Caddy delivered to her with tickets to his show. He was known for giving out cars and things to people all the time. I remember the articles about his generosity. I only wish I could have went to see him, but unfortunately this old farmboy, was too young, and my family too poor. I grew up and have done alright for myself and my children and grandchildren, but a part of me will always regret that I never got to see him live.

Thank you for taking us along. It was neat to see. I went to the duck parade once. Did Remi like the ducks. Zoey you are so good to let Remi do whatever she wants. Sneaking backstage. Remi you can only get away at Dad and Pop T’s shows.

Elvis was very generous with his money, he liked helping people. Years back, he was in Michigan, performing at a football arena. This older woman was broke down on the freeway near the arena. He got her name and number, ended up, he bought her a Cadillac! I’ll never forget that. ♥️🥰👍

The look on Remi's face as she watched the ducks was just awesome. She was so fascinated at the whole bizarre scene in front of her that I think it blew her mind. She is just adorable.

Holy crap! Y’all are just right up the road from me! I live in the next town south. If y’all are still in Memphis, I highly recommend Garibaldi’s Pizza, the Mt. Moriah Road location, the manager is really nice! Beside there is Gibson’s Donuts, their donuts are amazing, highly recommend their cinnamon rolls and their New Orleans donut. They got that recipe from a bakery that was in New Orleans that’s out of business, Mackenzie’s Bakery.

It’s a poor comparison to how celebrities choose to spend their money on their homes now. When Elvis bought and built on Graceland he was going for bigger than others of that time.

there is a hot air balloon festival this weekend as well in collierville, TN it is sold out for the evening but free for the morning. Also can ride in them as well. But they will be taking off saturday and sunday evening about 5.45 to 6.15. You can probably just park on the side of the rode and watch them take off. Look up thebluffcityballoonjamboree.com

That looks so much more inviting a place than I ever imagined. Did you dad's band every play on the same stage as Elvis? I'm not sure how they did tours back then. I know Elvis played Vegas a lot. 😊👋💖🦋

I toured Graceland in 1986 when my daughter was two years old. It was fascinating .....like time stood still. Too bad you can't play Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis" song for background music. Good times!
