I can really relate to Nahyeon. They teach kids that smoking is deadly, but little kids don't understand it wears on the body so they make it seem like you could die any minute as a deterrent. My dad smoked, and because of what they said I would have almost panic attacks when he lit up because I thought he could just drop dead. I knew my nagging was annoying, I annoyed myself, lol. But I was so worried. My dad quit completely when I was probably around 12. Later he admitted my nagging played a big part, and that he quit because of me. He didn't like that he was worrying and stressing me out so much. Hopefully, her dad finally quits too.
@facewrinkles38865 жыл бұрын
I'm glad your dad finally quit. However, that doesn't mean he's out of danger. My mom's boyfriend had quit smoking several decades before he met her, but only then developed lung cancer that spread to his brain and killed him. We only had a few years with him (he was 63). Please take care of your father continuously from now on.

I used to like this show but this show is turning real concerns into a joke they need to look at both sides. It's a real addiction it cant just end with a snap of a finger. He should stop to protect him self and his family but I think that they way they are teaming up with the daughter and putting pressure on him is not going to help. I sincerely do hope he stops smoking... :(

What would you do if you are variety show hosts for him to stop smoking?

The little girl is the most sensible one in the room. She articulated well the dangers of cigarette smoke, how her father lies, how she feels, and why it's important for him to quite. I can't believe she was 9 years old! I hope he really quite and is still alive, that everything turned out well with his lungs.

My grandmother just left us a week ago because of lung cancer.. She was an amazing woman but also very stubborn. She knew how bad smoking was for her but kept saying “well, then I’ll just die a few years earlier, I’m not going to stop now, I’ve already done it for so long it doesn’t matter”. She never knew what she said would become reality. She is only 72. Everyone tells you about cancer, your school, the news etc etc. But it never hit me how horrible it really is until came as close as it did. Lung cancer can spread out to your brain and other parts of the body as it did with my grandma. Please make everyone you love aware of this. Because just 5 weeks ago my grandma was sitting in front of the tv on a normal Thursday evening when suddenly her brain didn’t function enough to speak to my grandpa. She not with us anymore now... You don’t want to lose someone too do you? I wish the worldwide issue of smoking would be taken more seriously. I love my grandmother so so much. She didn’t have to die..

Oh my heart goes out for this little girl, she looks so kind, clever and worried about her family and most of the people there seamed not care, like it was just pure fun. I know this is a show but the little girl was really concerned and stressed about it, children shouldn't be exposed to some things... It actually made me want to cry 😔

I hope he doesn’t quit too late. I lost my grandfather to lung cancer. He had already stopped for a few years, but had smoked for 40-50 years before that. For Nahyeon, I hope he really stops and the thing they found in his lungs won’t be cancerous.
