It's sad but this is often the case when it comes to childhood traumas inflicted upon us when we're young. I thought it was ironic how he said he dislikes his son because he's just like him and he doesn't think profoundly. Like the dad is soo "introspective" himself. What a joke. A lot of times on this show I think people could really fix their problems by trying to take a step back and really analyze the situation properly and fairly.

He is literally imitating his own father's behavior. This is completely normal and actually common. He is treating his eldest as he was treated when he was a child and the youngest as his younger brother was treated and he can't even explain why he's doing it. He is simply subconsciously imitating his own father's actions because that is all he knows.

@@unknownalt5845 wow. 😥 I feel bad. I'm the oldest but I feel like my parents hate me. When my brother was born, they forgot all about me and I was left to do everything. It hurts me when they say I never do anything because I do. My parents always said it was cuz I was a "big girl" now but when my brother became a "big boy" he never had to do anything I did. Why? Because there was no reason to since I was the one already doing it. Recently my parents get frustrated because they realized my brother couldn't do anything for himself. They blamed it on me and said it was because I was always yelling at him and never a good sister when in truth it was because he didn't know something I had taught him thousands of times already and he always forgot afterwards. I always get mad at him and then my parents always blame me. I've always thought that the oldest was always the one having it the worst but I see that's not always the case. I hope I have another sibling. Right now, I'm older so if I have another sibling, it's my brother who'll take care of him/her. I always try to tell my brother that he gets it easy but he never understands. Another child in the picture would make him so furious since he's used to getting all the attention. I can't wait until I move out. I hope you're doing well. It's sad to see so many people going through the same thing. There's so many of us, so how come no one notices? I truly believe the dad was hurt when he realized what he's done and I do believe he's remorseful. Sometimes people react without thinking and while they know what they are doing is wrong they don't know how to suck up their pride and say sorry. I am so glad that a show like this exists in Korea, where pain and hurt in people's relationships can be talked about and worked toward healing. What a great show. If we had something like this in the US, I wonder if it would not get crazy like the Geraldo Show - but it could be useful if helpful celebrities helped talk about pain in people's lives on TV so people can become more attuned to addressing emotional pain and suffering.

Rae is such a sweetheart... poor boy, his too young to take the emotional responsibility of his parents. His an amazing young boy, I hope you keep building your resilience, your heart and mind is golden. Sometimes it takes dads more time to learn to be fathers... hopeful that yours will change for the betterment of your family.

To hear that your father hates you must be the worst feeling ever. I feel for this kid and his future if the father doesn't check his act.

I hope that the parents will get marital counseling, Lee Rae and Dad get individual therapy, and the whole family goes to family counseling soon. They all seem to have real feelings toward one another, but the affection is buried in wounds. This is a legitimate concern. Even if everyone is exposed/confronted and promises to be good to each other, on going support is helpful. May everyone who grew up/is growing up in this type of household find healing.

he is one of the nicest dads (by the end) i have seen on this show. he loves his son, but he sees his mistakes, genuinely feels bad over them and seems to want to make a chance. Lee Rae you have a cool dad 👍

Lee Rae looks like such a sweet child (and I bet he will be really handsome when he grows up)...Any child doesn't deserve this treatment. My heart breaks for him. I hope his irresponsible father won't be a huge scar for him later on...I would probably divorce my husband if he treated our child like that.

One year later, I hope everything’s okay now, I’m surprised the wife hadn’t divorced and took the kids away in the first place, she believed in her husband. I hope the son is getting better treatment and love.

It's amazing how kids can sense these types disparity in their parent's attention towards their siblings and themselves. I myself experienced this as a kid, mum cared more about my younger brother than myself. I asked my mum then, and she told me that it was because he was a "weakling". I guess I understood what she meant. The end.

I want to know do you think it's ok or not ... is it ok to treat like that bcz you are talented than them ....
@saiyanveg3 жыл бұрын
@@kalyaniwengappulli4933 Kids are very observant and sensitive contrary to what general Asian adults say "kids are dumb". If parents treat siblings differently, the one receiving lesser affection will start feeling insecure and probably screw with his/her mental well state. So no. Some people just aren't ready and shouldn't be parents but it is what it is.

I think it helps that their mom is at least older than their dad. So that way the eldest can have a little ease knowing he still has her

Don't worry, the jerk is doing that to save face. I don't trust man-babies like this idiot. He's going to go right back to being mean to his eldest son and enabling the manipulations of that sociopathic younger child

WHY PEOPLE KEEP PASSING CHILD ABUSE AS PART OF THEIR CULTURE??.... WHY??? THAT FAMILY SHOULD´VE BEEN INVESTIGATED, AND THE KID NEEDS PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPPORT....

Being the oldest can suck sometimes. My dad thought I would be a boy and since it was his first child he was so happy that he would have a son but after I was born my dad realized I was a girl and he was disappointed and upset so....life's great I swear we don't even make eye contact even though we live in the same house

I thought that if his childhood was that worse, he would not repeat the same mistake on his kids. But in most cases, it turns out the bad way. This Dad isn’t so bad, he expresses his feelings towards his oldest son, too. Unlike the previous same case of bad Dad, the Dad treated Jian - his oldest son like trash and even worse that he couldn’t hug his son sincerely like what this Dad did here. I hope that this Dad will treat his sons equally after the show, and try to teach them manners well but still express love to them after punishment

i was in the same situation, my sister was the older one and i was the youngest one. i was favored by my dad and everyone knew it. my dad said that he favored me more because i show love to him while my sister “cold” to him and stuff like that. when she would get yelled at i would try and run away from my dad and comfort her. it really sucked:(( but the 2nd one is really manipulative. their parents should watch out for him as he grows older

13:40 *THERE IT IS!!! That’s the real reason!* Not all the randomness he said before 😏 The dad felt resentment toward his successful older brother as a kid, so now he feels that same resentment toward his successful eldest son while pitying the younger one, the one he identifies more with I was so freaking confused for the first 13 minutes but now it makes sense 🥲
