Keeping a clean and neat home has always been such a struggle for me. Now that I'm raising my 4 yr old granddaughter it is even tougher. Some days I just go into my bed room and close the door bc I'm so overwhelmed and frustrated. Not sure how to conquer this task anymore with toys and books, crayons and more everywhere. I love a neat home and when she wasn't with us it was so much easier to keep clean. But your ideas are very helpful and I'm going to pray about my messy home and ask God to guide me through this journey. She's only little once and I want to enjoy her but it would be nice to have a cleaner and neater home too! Hugs n blessings dear friend!

Cathy, I want to first say you are doing an amazing job! The fact that your granddaughter has a home filled with love, time, toys, books, crayons and more spread all throughout is beautiful. She will always look back and know you truly loved and cared for her. You took time for her. You loved her each and everyday. I am sure when you decide to have her come and live with you the last thing you thought of was a clean home. You wanted to make sure her life and heart were filled with love and joy, and you have done just that. A dirty messy house can always be cleaned. A heart and life doesn’t always get what it needs…you’ve made sure hers has. My hat is off to you. As far as your house being tidy, maybe you can start making it something to teach her as well. When our boys were young having bins and buckets for everything made it so much easier to put things away in their place. And, we always had a rule, don’t get anything else out until the last thing you played with is put away. I’m sure she would love and enjoy helping you. And, maybe a sticker chart would help incentivize. Dollar Tree is a great place to find organization tools for just a dollar a piece too. But, again, you’ve done a job not everyone is willing or able to do. So, please give yourself a break to sit back and remember the fact that you have completely changed her life for the good. Hello, Sweet friend. You’re just too kind to me. I really appreciate you always being so incredibly supportive and kind. It really means so much. Oh, dusting is never ending. I found out there a couple things that really help cut it down. Our old dryer was somehow letting out more dust than our new one so that has been a huge help. And, keep our house filters changed out regularly is another way to cut down on dust. I can literally tell when it’s gone past the time to change them out. Crazy! I started using two small antique mirrors as holding trays and look amazing. Bathrooms and kitchens are my pet peeve they attract so much stuff etc. l love the smell of a clean house and the way it’s shines and you know I found that a clean house brings calmness. I heard on a radio station years ago that sometimes we clean our homes before company comes the lady speaking said as a Christian your home should always be ready for God coming to visit that so inspired me to keep our clean and smelling good. I agree with all you said now our mission is to keep our house clean for our family as well. It is a ministry!

Could you share some tips on how to keep our home clean while working? I struggle balancing the two around I'm just to exhausted and I feel overwhelmed.

Paola, first off, my hat is off to you for wanting to find ways to fit house cleaning in to your schedule. I know it is so extremely hard to keep up a home and balance a job outside of it. The first thing that comes to my mind is to make sure you give yourself grace. You work all day and the last thing you want to do is come home and start all over again. Next, my suggestion would be to maybe just focus on one thing each evening. Give yourself a half hour to an hour to concur a chore, then call it good. I do know a strict night time routine is so essential to me. Taking just a few moments to make sure the kitchen is back in order makes for a much easier morning. And, getting to a place where I have been able to put things back where they go immediately after use has been a game changer as well. I hope this has been of some help to you. I look where ever I go. I have some from places like Ross and TJ Maxx. Hobby lobby used to have a good selection. I would keep an eye out during the holidays for sure. They seem to show up then. Hello Ginger. Awww, you’re so sweet to say so. I’m glad you find some motivation and inspiration here. That does my heart well. The wax cubes and warms can be found at Walmart and Target, I’m sure other places carry them as well but that is where I have purchased mine. The wax I showed in this video is one of my favorites from Target. If you like the smell of honey this is one for you. A favorite of mine at Walmart is their warm apple pie. It is by Better Homes and Garden. I think you will find many more scents to chose from at Walmart. Also, a quick tip you can break off pieces of your candle and burn it in the wax burner for a stronger smell. It works great. Have a wonderful day. 🤍
