I am a 62 year old type 1 diabetic and have been unsuccessfully trying to loose weight since months but mostly gave up due to hunger pangs. I came across your smoothie recipe. I have adapted it a bit and am losing 100 grams a day without feeling hungry and without starving my body of nutrients. By now I have lost 2kg which was impossible until now. I have a boiled egg plus a large mug of tea with milk for breakfast, a smoothie and a large mug of tea with milk for lunch, an apple as a mid afternoon snack and a regular dinner with the family which includes a large salad, some protein and carbs. My version of your recipe is as follows: 3/4 cup thick greek yoghurt, 1/2 banana. 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 tbsp each of flax and hemp hearts, 2tbsp of chia seeds, 1 tbsp almonds, 1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and turmeric and a large pinch of pepper with 1/2 cup water to blend it up. Thanks!! this is mine and it has worked so well - fill the blender with kale -one handful of spinach -1/3 cup of frozen blueberry -scoop of protein powder -1 tsp of coconut cream -1 cup water with ice - splash of each unsweetened almond milk and lemon turmeric water (meal prepped) - large splash of cinnamon, flax seed powder, collegen and cocoa powder -blend If too thick add more water if needed.

My Smoothie Recipe -1 cup frozen strawberries -1/2 cup frozen mango -1 cup frozen pineapple -1/2 cup plain yogurt -1/4 cup almond milk (or any kind of milk, adjust depending on how thick you want your smoothie) -1 to 2 tablespoons of flaxseed Put frozen fruits, half of the yogurt and half of the milk in your blender and blend. Add in the rest of the yogurt and milk as you blend (add more or less depending on the consistency you want it) Enjoy😀

Sounds delicious, but could be way healthier. Adding ginger and lemon could make this way better especially with spinach or cucumber. Do not use any milk, use unsweetened almond. Other milks can contain wayy more calories and fat

Made some extra coffee so I could try this smoothie. Never thought to make a coffee smoothie before because I usually think of them being fruity. I swapped out the banana for coconut butter to keep it lower carb, and almond butter instead of peanut butter. I also opted for unflavored collagen powder instead of greek yogurt. I topped it cacao nibs and toasted coconut and it is soooo good on this unusually hot day in the Bay Area. Not very sweet, but I've come to prefer my coffee unsweetened since I stopped using artificial sweeteners. Definitely got a winner here.

One of my neighbors is a PhD biologist/professor, he told me that cancer loves whey an ingredient in yogurt, and some protein powders. So I use unsweet vanilla Silk almond milk a yogurt alternative. Saved a screenshot and made it this morning. Not sure if I like it for me but I can see it being a favorite for others. tastes like what I would guess a chai latte would taste like lol but who knows. 7.5/10. The AMAZING part is that I am just half way done and I already feel really full/satiated. I never feel full so this is awesome. Mine came out to 530 cals; not happy about that but good for replacing lunch.

I tried it and I liked it. I used protein powder instead of the Greek yogurt and unsweetened of almond butter (2tbsp). I was full till 2 from 10:30 and I was active in that time. I will decrease the coffee amount next time. I just started fasting the beginning of the month and have gone down to 1 cup in the am. This was extra coffee and I was flying a little. I enjoy your videos, first time trying one of your recipes and it was a win!

I hope you understand that cassia that is called cinnamon in the grocery store does not have the properties of true cinnamon! It is very difficult to find real cinnamon even in natural grocery stores!!!!

If anyone wants the macros, Lose It! has them at: 466 calories 36 grams fat 45 grams carbs 6 grams fiber 20 grams sugar 32 grams protein Definitely not Keto, as that’s quite a bit of sugar. But, fine if you’re bulking or not on a low carb diet.

I just stumbled upon you channel. I am definitely going to try this in the morning. I fell off the wagon of my low carb diet for NAFLD the last 6 months my husband has been home from work. I do make many meals during the week that are within my diet plan but the times I end up eating out I feel miserable. I have gained 19 lbs of the 22 I lost last year. 😢 Thank you for your recipes! I hope they will get me back on track. I was doing good with chia pudding for snacks also (no added sweeteners)

Since Eric Berg I have not touched a banana since January 2021 (when I started I.F. with Keto......cinnimon is now on standby for my avocado-bananna-chia smoothie. My normal smoothie is with frozen blueberries with ground nuts added for soft crunch and (zinc). Thank goodness you said 'break-fast' and not breakfast which illudes to early Am. my blender is difficult to clean and i have a free smoothie from tropical smoothie lol. it just doesn’t have coffee or vanilla. i removed the sugar. i had one of their fruit smoothies yesterday and it was PLENTY sweet without added sugar. i never add sugar to mine at home and just sugar alone was like 250 cal!?? lol. i just ordered the one that is actually SUPER similar to this and am going to pick up the nutribullet from bbb today after i look into it more to make sure it’ll be more practical for me for daily-ish use! thanks for the recipe! you’re great

Hi, I’ve been experimenting with smoothie recipes recently and chia seeds is one of the ingredients I’ve been trying to incorporate. I’ve fund it really gritty and unpleasant, soaking the seeds before adding to the blender helps a lot but still not the best. Has anyone else found a way of incorporating chia seeds without the grittiness?
