The Dark Grimoire Tarot is also an HP Lovecraft based tarot deck and I think may embody the aesthetic of the stories a bit better than the other one you showed.

Thank you for making this video, I enjoyed getting a closer look at some of the decks I've been wanting as well as seeing a couple new to me. I dont own any of these decks but probably will soon lol.. the darker decks I own I dont use on a regular basis, only when in the mood for it. Id like to suggest you check out The Tarot of Vampyres by Ian Daniels if you havent yet. Also I was just looking at The Night Sun Tarot, which is made by the same artist as Goetia Tarot and it has a similar style artwork yet more colorful and still has a darker feel to it. Your channel is my go to for deck review/collections, thank you!

Thank you! I love dark theme decks :D I adore the Haunted house tarot from the list and it's my soul deck at this point. Originally, I bought it to keep as a collection since I'm a huge horror fan, but wow, the readings are profoundingly accurate. She's like that older sister I never had, straight up no bs and always reminding me to step up my game. Overall, perfect balance between hope and despair in the art. Definitely recommend not hesitating to buy this deck if you're curious!

This was great, can’t thank you enough! I’m generally quite at ease with shadow work, womb-to-tomb magic, and what’s termed Dark. However, as a relative newbie to tarot (but not to witchcraft, Wicca, and other myriad esoteric or psyche paths) who is in my early 60s, I sincerely appreciate this excellent video on dark decks that I can add to my growing collection. I will be using these variably for magic, spirit work, ancestor and past life work, as well as for a new series of novels that go deeper and darker than ones previously written. I adore The Black Tarot, a brand new deck I just acquired before watching this, and thanks to you here, have ordered both the Goetia and the Murder of Crows. Blessings!

I just got the Edgar Allan Poe Tarot Deck will be using it very soon will be interesting to see how it reads for me. I've always thought his works were interesting in school but never actually took the time to dive fully into his stories. I also got a book of his writings and will be using it alongside the Tarot so I can really dive deep into it. Dark Wood Tarot I've been eyeing for a while just been debating on getting it because I've heard of the reviews the cardstock is not great long term. I may end up picking it up at some point because I loveeee that artwork it calls out to me. I love that Murder of Crows Tarot is your #1 dark deck! That's a new one I added in my collection been using it for a week or so and I'm in love with it! I connected to it right away. Just like you I'm just as surprised with how much I love the artwork! I like dark decks, but only have a few that are more dark but not in this way. It really dives deep into your shadows and can really reveal a lot of things to work on. It shook me when I first used it. Love it. :)

I love that you put all your cards right side up (unless you did that just for the video but that's fine too) but I always put my cards right side up after I'm done with a reading and as a bonus I find my significator card and the card before it and after it for a little extra reading, I just like touching my cards lol

Tfs your dark decks. I'm looking for darker decks to use this upcoming Fall 2023. I have the Darkwood Tarot and the Murder of Crows Tarot is the 1st tarot deck I ever bought. It was my gateway deck, but I still don't like it. The backs creep me out, I'm not a big fan of the starkness and darkness artwork, and the artwork makes it hard for my beginner tarot self to get the meanings of the cards. I think after getting a couple years of doing my own readings and Tarot study under my belt, it will be great to come back to it. I can use the Darkwood Tarot (sort of) but the Disney-ness of it is not my aesthetic either.

I don't own any Tarot decks. I used to have a Tarot deck a long time ago that I would sometimes sit and look at the imagery (Tarot of the Cat People), but I never learned to use it. It along with all of my crystals has somehow been lost during moving and I don't think I'll ever get them back. I have recently acquired my first Oracle deck (Wild Mystic Oracle). While I love crows and I think the deck looked very cool, I think if I had to pick one from what you have shown in this video, the Ghost Spirit Tarot really appealed to me. I have read a number of HP Lovecraft's works and both the Cthulu deck and the Dark Grimoire deck had cool imagery I could pick out from the stories, however I don't really see me using the decks. I love the works of Edgar Allen Poe, but again, I'm not sure I see myself using the deck. Some of the other ones were also very cool like Dark Wood, but I think Ghost Spirit Tarot would be my pick from this video. I have the kickstarter version of the Goetia tarot. I haven’t dug too deep in it but the guidebook is meaty and amazing. The cards are way too big for my tiny hands. I think lo scarab do still has the Goetia and notoria kick starters on their websites till I’m not 100% sure.

I might be wrong but I thought pip decks weren't illustrated. The Gothic deck was fully illustrated. So, I don't think it is a pip deck. I could be wrong.

One of my 1st decks was, "The Haunted House Tarot." It was a perfect deck for a novice, like me, b/c following Raven's (The Fool) story made tarot easier to remember- if that makes sense. I loved how the creators have it as you are following Raven throughout the Haunted House! I use it often. Perfect balance of light/dark (for me-I love horror and haunted houses) and it is an honest and deep deck. And you're right, it shuffles like a dream!
