I'm 40 and same!! I was kind of offended when she KEPT saying the scents were too young, but I know she was not trying to be offensive. I don't know why you have to be a certain age to wear certain fragrances. Just wear what YOU like..young or old.

Aww that's cute. When I was this age my mom used to give me her perfumes too, after I beg her lol😂 but none of them were age appropriate I was 11 yrs wearing chanel n5 and kenzo flower surprisingly I loved them , and n5 was my signature when I became 15 till 20.

Hopefully this doesn’t come off rude, but why in the world would you pay your daughter to get something back that you bought in the first place? You’re her mother, if it was yours and you gave it to her and now she doesn’t want it and you do, you take it back. You’re her parent, not her mate or customer is my POV. She’s 10, she’ll live without the money.

This is so cute! I only started getting into perfumes when I was 25/26, but I wish I had started earlier. She has some ones that seem very young, but also some that are timeless classics. She also has a few that I've been wanting to try out, lol. She's definitely off to a great start!

I just recently bought a whole bunch of fragrances and saw the Rihanna fragrance for 12$ it’s the red one, I believe it’s called just Rebelle? Apparently, it’s a chocolatey coffee fragrance, quite excited to try that one. Have you tried that one?

This is so sweet. I remember like it was yesterday when I received my first perfume bottle. My mom allowed me to wear perfume at 13, and she made sure to purchase something “age appropriate” haha It was Laila by geir ness if anyone recalls that? Of course I would spray it on every day and feel like a grown up. Then by the time I was 15 or 16 my ant purchased me the original Romance by Ralph Lauren which was more mature, and that totally kicked off my perfume obsession haha

My daughter is 12 and has quite a few perfumes too and a lot of them are blind but fails or ones that my friends have given me that are not my taste(like coach floral, she loves that one too). The one my daughter will call her signature scent is jo Malone peony and blush. I had a deluxe sample from Sephora and gave it to her and she fell in love. I bought her the big bottle for Christmas. She also loves cloud, sofia by sofia vegara, Valentino Donna, Nicki Minaj pink print(she says it’s the prettiest bottle lol), Vera want princess and Hugo boss the scent(not the private accord one, the regular one smells like peach and I accidentally bought the wrong one.

I gifted quite a few perfumes to both my girls, I have an 11 and twelve year a old! One likes fruity scents and one likes more floral so they have quite the collection! Most of my britney spears (vip private show, some different fantasy ones, Jessica Simpson, mariah carey, rhianna, ariana grande, katy Perry just to name a few! ) we also trade perfumes ! They mostly are perfumes that are light or don't really last long :)

I'm 15 (almost 16) and Fancy by Jessica Simpson was my first perfume bottle I ever owned and it was a blind buy. I didn't like it at first, but now, I love the smell and I'm close to running out. I only have 3 perfume bottles (minus 4 travel sizes, and the bottles are Fancy, Pink Sugar, and Fancy Love) but I might repurchase another one of Fancy!

Haha Rituals is actually very common here in Germany and everybody knows it ! You can get it at a normal drugstore for a reasonable price - they are about 40 euros (60 CAD) for 50/60 ml and they are known to be more on the oriental and mature side. They usually are inspired by natural and relaxing surroundings like minerals, herbs or Myrrhe etc (bc it is a brand that produces mostly room sprays, body creams, candles, tea, essential oils and stuff like that :)

Just to give her something in return for it because I would feel bad/or that I was being rude just taking a perfume back that I had gifted her. That or I would trade her or take her for ice cream etc - I would never just take it back. And as much as I don't want her spraying my $200 bottle of perfume randomly, I'm sure she doesn't want someone else spraying her bottles :). That's my perspective. It also teaches her manners - not giving and then taking back items you've gifted.
