Dear Jonna, I am an old grandma in Northern California who lives with my husband, Hamilton, and our cats, Bella and Anna. I'm delighted that you enjoy doing your videos, because I find them very healing and beautiful. We had Christmas in Oregon with my kids and saw snow for the first time in many years. Now that I'm old, I have to be careful not to slip, but I loved the experience. My family came from Montana (where they understand -40 degrees) when I was six years old and settled in what is now Silicon Valley. The valley was covered with beautiful orchards when we came to California, pears, cherries, walnuts, apricots, prunes . . . I wish you and your lovely Johan and Nanook a blessed New Year, full of beauty, health, and wonder. Love, Rodean

Hello My name is Kerrie Lynn, I’m from Canada. I first discovered Jonna in March 2020, my health wasn’t good. Watching her rejuvenated my spirit and awakened my soul, she’s magical. Her beautiful voice, her amazing paintings, her ability to capture everything through her camera lens in nature and make it all come alive. Sometime it felt like I could smell the rain, feel the cold or the bite of the mosquitoes lol. I’ve always been connected to nature, and shared my love for it with my 4 children. My youngest too is amazed by everything Jonna produces. She loves Nanuk and wants to send him a teddy bear from Canada. We’ve been inspired in so many different ways. Tapping a birch tree, collecting ash, soil and coal from our outdoor fires for painting. We want one day to have a cold dip in the cold winter lake but haven’t managed that one yet. We did have a few saunas this winter and jumped in the snow to cool off. Thank you Jonna, You helped me heal through my battle with cancer. Many times I’ve fallen asleep to your voice or the ice sounds. Your inspiration has helped me on my hardest days, the days I wasn’t well enough to get out in nature I could watch though your eyes. I’ve laughed with you, cried with you and rejoiced with you. Thank you for all you do. You are a beautiful, kind human with an amazing, magical, soul. For that I am so thankful as feel blessed to have I found you. One day we want a sled like yours and I’d really like to know if you have ever skated? ⛸😘❤️🤗🌲🍁🐕🏊♀️🌧☀️❄️⛷🎶✨🔥🪵🫖☕️🐄🙌🏻👏🏻🇸🇪🇨🇦🌎🎥

Hi, Jonna! I'm Kati from Germany. I live in the north of Germany, right between North and Eastern Sea, with my two cats 🐱 Since I was a little child especially my father took me to the forests in the near surrounding area and so I have inherited his attachment to nature ❤️In 2020 he died because of cancer and I still try to go out into the forests as much as I can and it's sometimes like "meeting him" there. ☺️ He always wanted to travel to Sweden to see some reindeers and the unbelievable landscape, but unfortunately he never did. So because of your videos I feel so much feelings that I wish I could explain to you, but it is not so easy, especially in English 😅 They are full of an amazing, unbelievable and breathtaking Beauty, magic, freedom and as we say in German "Herzblut" that they always touch my heart so deeply, when I watch them. I hope someday I can visit Sweden and enjoy its beauty in real life ☺️ Thank you and Johan and even nanook (of course he is the secret star in your videos😁❤️) so much for your unbelievable work and the love you Share. Hello Kati, I just felt like replying to your nice story. Your father seems to have inspired you and that so much resonates with what we all love about Joanna. We have a dream. I found mine in writing a book and am about to finish it (first draft) today coincidentally. On the long journey from the very first inkling when I had that idea I had given up a million times. I almost deleted hundreds of pages a while ago becaus of doubts (who am I to write a book?). Maybe it helps you to read what has kept me going to finally see my dream come true: I always made sure to know what my next smallest step will be. Even a few words written or a chapter rearranged would count. For me it was about moving forward to my dream and never stop. Small steps matter in the end. I knew that eventually My fingers had to press keys on my keybard. One after the other almost a million times. And then I pressed one and another one and another one until I created a word and then a sentence. That sentence was once in my brain only. It is now in my manuscript for everbody to read (in German by the way). Make one step towards your dream every single day and always know which one will be the next. Don’t ever stop. The famous Wayne Dyer said “don’t die with your music still in you” Don’t ever stop, Kati. Alles Gute für Dich und Deinen Traum.

I allways think each person is different and need different things in life to flourish and creating a feeling of 'belonging'. I read your post and i had tears in my eyes. Life is a lot of times hard and i think people need to be themselves and create a life for themselves, where they feel peace with themselves. You are 14 years old and enjoying this videos. Sometimes other people help you to find your path in life. I send you love, warmth and strength, health and good food and shelter. I also wish your dreams come true. Work towards it, step by step. Never give up. Kind regards from Europe🌸🍀🌸

Hello Jonna, greetings from Willow, Alaska. Congratulations on winning your award which is much deserved. I really enjoy your videos so much. As a Vietnam Veteran with PTSD, I watch your past videos when I have an episode and it calms me immensley. You have such a calming voice and the love between you and Johan is beautiful. Your capturing of the Aurora Borealis {Northern Lights} is nothing less than SPECTACULAR, absolutely beautiful. Sometimes, myself and my dog Aurora {a red Australian Sheperd} will sit outside our cabin and watch the lights for a very long time. I actually bought a 65" TV just to watch your videos, I would buy a bigger one but, my cabin is too small, lol. Thank you again. Happy New Year to you and Johan.

As a kid I remember we got snow much more often and I loved it. But it's getting less cold every year due to global warming. At most we get a few days of slush that melts almost immediately. Winter here now means rain, fog and grey skies for weeks if not months on end. It's very hard to find the magic in that.

Jonna, I am a weaver from Minnesota and my ancestry is mostly Swedish. The land where you live looks just like northern Minnesota where I grew up. These things make me feel connected to you and I thank you for sharing your life. And congratulations on the award!

Jonna, hello! I am from Ukraine and now our country is in a very unpredictable condition: we are preparing to defend our state and our borders from another country, which is preparing to attack us. Jonna, your videos reassure me at this troubled hour for me and my family. It is good to know that there are places on earth where you are the owner of your territory and no one can (because they do not want to) take it away from you. I've been watching your videos for 12 months now. A lot has happened to each of us this year, but I am very pleased to find new videos on your channel every month and have 30 minutes of rest from everything, especially from the bad news. I really hope that in a month I'll have the opportunity to sit at home, in my room and just go to your channel to watch the video. I just hope for peace.

Lidia, I hope for peace & safety for you and all those you hold dear. It's a basic human right to have unbounded space, a safe territory to call home that no one can take away from you. I'm so sorry you're in this situation and will be thinking of you & all others in Ukraine. Sending peace, warmth, and a big hug your way!

Hello Jonna, I am Aroha Helena and I live in New Zealand. I was born in Switzerland and moved here when I was about 7, so watching your videos helps to satiate the cravings I have for cold winters and a dark Christmas. I would love to tell you about all my families pets but I'm afraid I would be sitting here a very long time. But I have been following your journey from near the beginning and I love you and the way you live and you inspire me everyday to paint and write my books and treat myself with the love and kindness I deserve. Thank you. Thank you from the fullness of my heart for everything you do. I could never put it into words how much your work means to me. Love from the bottom of the world, Aroha

Sitting here in my chair in Ontario, Canada, in front of my fireplace, with the lake I live on, outside my window, watching your latest creation. Congratulations on your streamy award! You deserve it! Your videos feel so natural and beautiful to watch. They are quite heartwarming, showing there are beautiful souls in this world who uplift and shine the light of the Universe on all around them. Awesome shots of the Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky. And the blanket of stars... wow! Thank you from nearly 4 million strong, and myself, for being you. 🙋

It is so fantastic how people can understand each other, feel each other, support each other while living so far. When I watch your videos I see that you are a REAL person who does everything from your heart, not pretending to be someone. Love you!

These videos are always magical. Between the snow, the northern lights, starlight without light pollution, the firelight .. really cozy and beautiful. It must be painfully cold, too, though. Lol. The sounds of the ice are, as always, fascinating. I hope this new year of 2022 treats everyone well.

Dear Jonna, My name is Michaela I also go by Mika. I live in Colorado but I’m originally from California. I am married to my amazing husband Ron who I met here in Colorado after my family and I moved here. Because of how expensive it is to buy a house here, we are living with my parents and my brother and I love being around my family. My husband and I have a dog named Milo who we adopted from a shelter when he was one year old. I often wonder to myself why someone would give up this precious baby, but I’m so thankful he is with us. He brings us so much joy and I cried when you spoke of the little time we have here on this beautiful earth with our pets because my mind often wonders to that place as well. I can’t really, fully describe what it’s like watching your videos, I cry frequently, I wish to be out in nature, I long to own land somewhere and raise animals and live off land. Your videos bring me life and longing and joy and love, so many things wrapped in to one. Thank you so much for bringing us these gifts. 🖤🖤🖤

Dear Jonna, my name is Niklas I am 23 and I am from the northern part of Germany. As I grew up on my parents farm with cows, chickens and many other animals I learned a deep appreciation for nature. That's the reason why I love watching your videos. I feel that some people mistakingly believe that nature needs us. This could not be further from the truth. Sometimes I even think that nature would be much happier if humans did not exist. However, you show me that there are people that still know the worth of nature. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. I am so happy that I have found your channel 1-2 years ago. :) Oh, and my parents have two dogs. A Rotweiler named Fenya (we chose a nordic name as we love Scandinavia . The people, geography, etc.) and a mixed breed of Pinscher and French Bulldog named Mona. Thank you for being you. :)

Hello Jonna!! I live in a cabin in Canada where it has gotten -42 some nights!! This is very cold for us, and I know exactly how you feel being in hibernation. Thanks to your videos I learned about singing ice, and my favorite memory of 2021 was skating on a singing lake near my cabin, (very scary, very magical, very dangerous) while watching a meteor shower!! It was so wonderful and I felt so alive!! Thank you for sharing the wonders of life.

Dear Jonna, I am at the moment living in the desert, Abu Dhabi. We also have some kind of winter, days around 20C, nights around 15C. But even I am freezing ( not like you or most other people in their winters), but our apartments have no heating, and so indoors the tiled floors radiate really chilly air. But that´s still better than the 45C we have to live with for many months each year. Just wanted to say that I enjoy seeing your life and nature that is so different from my life here. And well done to your win. You are very talented in the way you film and talk in your videos. Well deserved appreciation!

Your videos are pure magic - like entering a fairytale. Thank you so much for showing us the beauty of Mother Nature - that is always there for us, we only need to listen and look around and wonder. I'm so grateful for your impressions - they make me happy and help to connect with nature and this earth. Love, love, love from Germany (Berlin). PS: Adressing your wish to tell you something about me as your viewer from "all around the world" 🥰 I'm 36, have no pets (but love animals soooo much - your dog is so adorable * cry *) and do relaxation videos for people (called ASMR = Autonomous Sensory Meridiane Response). Your videos are relaxation for me as well. I definitely need to move somewhere more rural as I yearn for vastness, silence and nature.💜🙏🌠
