Every time I hear about the DCS/Razbam thing I think about May of 2024 in MSFS. A developer was getting ready to release a long awaited set of planes, "Piston & Turbine Dukes". But there was a large update coming MSFS, SU15. And it was going to create a lot of issues that the developer said would create a "Broken" set of planes if released now. So he went into the forum and laid out his plan to wait till he got SU15 up and running. Several things where broken across the board. not just with Duke but several other planes. He talked about what his plan was and wonder of wonders...The forum lit up. Every one stayed civil and he listened. He came up with a plan to release them both with a disclaimer in the "Installer" that certain things where busted across the board for X Box users, and that MSFS was working on a fix. He released the Duke, and low and behold the sever was over whelmed with purchases. MSFS and the developer worked together and more importantly he worked with the communtiy . I just can't understand why DCS and Razbam can't get their ducks in row and work "Together" to fix any problems that come with "New Game Updates".....Sorry for the rant...

I just want a roadmap, tell us when things go in pro-order, early access for the year. It feels like they really go for the FOMO and I just don't appreciated that. The Razbam thing I think it is just a mater of time, they are waiting for a contract to run out that's my theory.

We are getting the Tornado, that's not exactly an F-111, but it should give you the same style of play. And in some ways, it'll be even more fun. Nothing (Excluding the Buccaneer) Does fast and low as well as the Tornado.

As I only play single player I really wish for major improvements in AI behavior. It doesn’t matter how realistic and immersive the modules and terrains are when the rest of your flight is constantly doing stupid shit, like they can’t even get into formation in a somewhat realistic way.

I suppose I'm gonna give my wishlist here as well. 1. Resolution of RAZBAM/ED dispute. Not gonna drag this one out, but I still believe they will eventually patch things up and we'll get back updates. RAZBAM has expressed interest in continuing work on their modules, once the dispute is solved, so hopefully they will be able to. I would love to see more updates of my favorite jet ever (F-15E). 2. Optimization of certain modules. So far, as much as I love DCS, the biggest problem for me is lag. This honestly depends on module for me, F-16 and A-10 and even F-15E run great, but once I start AH-64 or F-4E, things get rough with framerate.I know they're definitely capable of it, F-14 now runs like a charm, so I hope they will get around soon. 3. More AI assets (and full fidelity planes too, but a lot of it is already in development) to cover certain historical periods. Now, DCS is a bit interesting regarding how well does it cover historical periods. Some, like Syrian Civil War and Arab-Israeli conflicts (assuming you are willing to forgive the absence of Israeli variants of Mirage III's) are very well covered, while something like Vietnam War and early to middle WW2 is in dire need of coverage. It's very noticeable for WW2, because we lack absolutely crucial aircraft (Ju 87, He 111, Lancasters, Hurricanes and so on). 4. Balkans map. DCS would really benefit one, it has a lot of assets needed for it. Now the only question is what dev is prepared to make modules/AI assets of Yugoslav aircraft. 5. Mission Planner that would take notes from Digital Integration's Tornado. Would really benefit the dynamic campaign. As for others, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Tornado and Eurofighter, but I know such things take time. At this point, I'm used to waiting (makes me remember the times for Mi-24, AH-64, F-15E and F-4E) so I'll be patient.

I’d love an F-105D, but since Relublic destroyed all its documentation/data,it’s unlikely. An F-111 would be awesome though. These coldwar fighter bombers that have guns are really a sweet spot for DCS. The F-4E proved that. I really want Raz and ED to patch things up. The Mudhen more than deserves to be fully completed and the MiG-23 is very very much needed. Raz was/is well on their way with it. It was flysble and systems were working, god dammit. Anyways, players are terrified that the Chinook, halfghanistan, and Iraq are cash grabs to collect operating revenue for a company that is going broke. That’s the nightmare. Wishlist: (apart from completed Mudhen, MiG-23, Afghan, Iraq and MiG-29 and the F-105D I mentioned above) I’d love the Bo-105 to come out and be flat out amazing with all its weapon options as well as the option to spawn with “High skids” which are the raised/taller skids many of them here in the U.S. have. It was originally meant for the underside mounted 20mm to have clearance but also improves landing stability and looks absolutely amazing. It’s a must. Id also like more RedFor offerings like a proper high fidelity Su-25(not the T), an Su-17/M3, a MiG-27, and while all of these would be awesome in a Soviet-Afghan campaign, the Mi-24V would also be amazing. Imagine how great campaigns in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria would be with these and a proper ground unit rework. That brings me to my last wishlist item. A proper Combined Arms update. One that focuses on updated usable vehicles and models that don’t require super high fidelity development, just serviceable controls, like Gunner HEATPC. Someday we will have our game that combines DCS/Arma Reforger/Gunner HEAT PC.

I'd love to have an F-111 as well, or hopefully, the Tornado will come out this year. Maybe even I could hope for a resolution on the RAZBAM thing and get the F-15E fixed up to how it should be. You know it's in a bad state when people are going out and flying boxes around rather than shooting at other people. The interior model of the f5e not having been updated is a flat out LIE. I extracted the model, and even though the two cockpits perfectly overlap each other (as you would expect a remastered model would do), the model has been updated, with almost everything having been remoddelled. The reason why it looks the same to the naked eye, or on the screenshots that have been floating around on discord. Is because they used the measurements of the model that already exists. For 10 dollars, they are not going to rescan the aircraft, do measurements and all the research that is needed from literally making the model from scratch while it already has been done. That does not mean it is the same model. I am a 3D artist, and I think it is hurting the community when people are talking about the remoddeling and the 3D artwork of aircraft or the entire game for that matter, even though they know nothing about it. Im afraid this sways the opinion of people in dubious way. The same with the Razbaam situation, everyone is automatically pointing their fingers at ED. Only we know quite literally nothing about the situation, except for an ex-developer complaining in a discord message that ED has not been paying Razbaam ("for no reason"). For all we know, it is the fault of razbaam. We don't know. And getting stuck on it hurts the community and creators of the game we all love. Loved the video, this was my schitzo ramble about my frustrations with the community. I love flght simming, but I do not like a large part of the DCS community.

@@AirshowD There are screenshots floating arround, but the framing of them is pretty bad. What the moddelers at ED have clearly done, is taking some of the already existing existing model. Changing it and adding onto it. There are very clearly loads of new assets added, like the entire front panel is completely new. The stick, Throttle, Seat detailing, switches, panels, nobs and more are completely new models. What the reddit threat speaks about is the "created from scratch" part that was stated in the news letter. I agree with the thread on the fact that it is not made from "scratch", because they clearly used assets from the older model, and of course they used the old model as reference. Doing the research of the f5e all over again would have been "from scratch." But somehow this thread changed into people thinking the model had very little to almost no model changes at all. The store page states this "Recently remastered cockpit with greatly improved resolution, glass surfaces, and attention to detail." Which is true. Note, The problem I have with the threat, is that the actual details that are importand are not shown. (like the dash???? Hey weird plane guy, I want those extra sidewinders for the F-5E as well, but I'd like a refuelling probe even more... even if it's not supposed to be on that very on that very specific particular version of the F-5. Also, wingtip tanks maybe... OK now I'm just saying I want a CF-5 LOL. 😅 I'd really like a fully complete F-15E so hopefully the lawyers stop lawyering and Razbam and ED can work together again... 1. Improve even more the performance of the game, add dynamic campaign and make it a real simulator, not a screenshot simulator 2. Get somewhere close on the level of Falcon BMS on modules like the F16, F18 3. Resolve the whole RAZBAM drama 4. Release Mig 29 in a somewhat usable state I dont care so much for new Modules, i want a stable and somewhat "finished" game.

Don't count on the F-111. Its core tech is still classified and with that they would have a hard time to make full-fidelity module. You may get the chance to fly it elsewhere tho.

Top of my list is resolve Raz vs ED dispute. I wonder how many people are in the same camp as me? I love flying in DCS and have invested a fair chunk of money into it. but this whole situation has left such a bad taste in my mouth I’m reluctant to spend more money on it. IMO both companies are as bad as each other.

the Patch-issue/wish has already been addressed btw. actually a recent update to the updater/patcher (or whatever you call it) and I think they might improve it even more. But basically you just get the update files that are getting changed now instead of half their library each update. I noticed it anyway. although I would love the ability to limit the download speed aswell. and the F-5 did get a update to the cockpit as-well as its 3d model overall Much cleaner cockpit now. But I want the same thing you do when it comes to the Mig-29 and the Razbam-VS-ED to come to any kind of resolution so we can get back to enjoying our modules. and so we can get the Mig-23. Also hope we get the EF-2000 this year. And I could care less about the ardvark or F-111, for the people who want it I hope someone gives it to you ^^ But I gotta ask. Why are people so interested in it? I get that it's way better at it's Role than the Tomcat ever will be. and it would be cool to have an actual bomber or that era. or just a bomber at all. I personally want the A-6 and the A-8 or the A-7. actually all of them. oh and the Bone ofc. Would love a Bone (B-1B for those wondering).

I want to believe but if it was possible to mend that partnership, it would've happened more than half a year ago. Razbam has started to focus hard on other projects and ED is pretending everything is fine. Also while there was buzz that ED had scrubbed any references of Razbam from their site, that was a fat lie, Razbam modules still have their name on it and I say it's likely it will stay that way.

I want a ranking system based what you do with In a PVE or PVP server. It needs to be player based and not server based so that it doesn't reset after each session. I will give you a reason to play more. Like a RPG ranking systems for jets. We basically need more gameplay elements than more modules and maps.

The RAZBAM issue won't be solved, or not in the way people want. There won't be a MiG 23, and at best they'll continue/mantain their existing products, but that's it... On a more cheerfull side, I do wish for an F-111 (won't happen), But would much more looove to see even more Century Fighters, specially a F-101 or F-102/106! (not gonna happen either lol), at least give us the 100 and 104 this year haha
