@@whitbits209 For me, I cut my calories to around 1550 a day. I also made sure I was eating at least 100 grams of protein a day and getting 30% of my calories from protein. I used MyFitnessPal to track everything I ate. Like, first thing in the morning, I'd enter my weight and then plan my meals and tweaked my meals until I liked the numbers and then I just eat what I put down. If I change something during the day, I always enter it first to see how it affects my numbers. I drink lots of water during the day. Actually, I drink unsweetened, flavored seltzer water. I also take collagen peptides. I stopped doing that for awhile and my weight stalled, so when I looked at all my data, I saw I was losing more with taking it, so I started taking it again. I might be because there's a lot of protein in it, idk. I'm NOT doing low carb. About 45-50% of my calories from from carbs. I don't try to do that, just with trying to eat more protein it naturally falls that way. I'm also not exercising, but planning on starting that soon. You might want to join Reddit and look at the SuperMorbidlyObese and Loseit boards. Lots of helpful advice and friendly people. If you're starting out, look for a TDEE calculator. It stands for Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Look at the sedentary one and ignore the body fat %. It will tell you how many calories a day you need to stay at your current weight. So subtract 500 from that and that should be your daily calorie intake. I did mine lower than that, but they recommend 500 to start. As long as you're eating more than 1000 calories a day, you'll be okay.

A great memory filed away is going on a "The Big Red Boat" cruise "Later bought and renamed Disney Cruise lines" back in the mid-90's with my late oldest brother and his family... I remember flying into Orlando and riding those cool rail trains.... We took a bus from airport to the Cruise dock.... I got pics of us wearing our typical outfits bought after the cruise on the reverse trip inside that retro train.... Thanks for helping me refind that memory ..... I was 12.

Well known piano player George Shearing used to ask the pilot to take his guide dog for a walk around plane before takeoff just in case dog needed a final wall. Then while waiting to board George had a big smile on his face as other passengers talked about pilot with seeing eye dog.

The eye of the hurricane passed directly over us in Lowndes County, Valdosta Georgia as a category 2. Lowndes county has never got hit by a storm that hard in the history of the county. It's absolute devastation all throughout the county. They're telling us it will be a few weeks before we even have power completely restored. The entire county won't look the same for decades... Keaton Beach & Perry got it even worse than us! It was scary riding it out, I won't ever forget the intense sounds outside. Scared us to death. Our house came through with no damage but we were definitely in the minority....lots of people had major damage or lost their homes completely.

Hey Adam, just wanted to say congrats on the weight loss and also thank you! Ironically I was about 216 when I finally committed to losing weight with your 50 days hashtag. Being your age, I totally can relate to the struggle! But I'm happy to say I hit 195 this week! So 21 pounds and two clothing waist sizes down from 38 to 34! Eating right, home cooked meals, and working out 4-5 times a week with a ratio of about 70% strength training/weights and 30% HIIT. Thanks for the inspiration!!

15:02 so a little history there. Reverser pushbacks used to be somewhat standard back up until around 20ish years ago. 727s, MD80s, and DC9s used to do it all the time (they had engines high off the ground and far in the back). I remember watching Northwest Airlines at Minneapolis do them specifically. The reason you won't see it anymore is because of the high likelihood of ingesting foreign object debris into the much lower slung engines used nowadays, so the operations manuals prohibit this maneuver.

Just a quick fyi about airplane "pushbacks", since I've heard you talk about them in a few videos now. Most planes actually do have the ability to back up under their own power using their engine's "thrust reversers", however most airline's standard operating procedures forbid pilot using them outside of landing due to risk of damage to the engines from FOD (foreign object debris) on the taxi ways and ramp areas. Whenever your plane lands and you see the cowlings of engines slide back after landing revealing a gap into engine, those are the thrust reversers and they are basically redirecting the engines exhaust flow from coming out the back of the engine to blowing towards the front of the engine. The risk of using them when the plane is moving is that the forward jet of exhaust created by activating the thrust reversers can blow debris into the intake of the engine. So basically, the pushback tugs are the "guaranteed not to break the plane" way of backing up, but at smaller less equipped airports you may occasionally see a plane use its thrust reversers to back out of a tight place.
