My Dental Hygiene Journey! 🦷💕

I'm 31, moved a year ago to the US with my American Husband and .. it has been rough, none of my education from my home country counts within the US! So I have to start from scratch, which made me, which I would've never thought end up in a Dental Assistant Certificate program! I am interested in Hygiene, but for sure, first I gotta get my GED here in the US, so all the Prerequisites. It is going to be a long journey, which somewhat hurts, since I had a steady job back home, but the same time, I want to be positive and find a place here in the US :). I loved your video, your positivity and how you didn't give up! You seem like such a lovely person! ( I know this video is old, but still, thanks for keeping it up here! :) )

I needed this.. I’ve been an EDDA for 5 years now and I could not picture my life not in dentistry! Last year I decided to further my education to go on to do hygiene. I did not get in this year, but I’m hopeful for next year. Thank you for your positive words of affirmation and encouragement. Much love 🤍

I take my CDCA and local anesthesia exams on March 18th, patient exam on April 5th, and my national exam on April 24th 🦷

Our daughter is planning to enroll in LSC-Kingwoods DH program..right now she's taking the prerequisite coursework thru LSC-CyFair campus then transfer to Kingwood campus. She is also filipina, from Cagayan De Oro city area, came to USA in 2010 at age of 6! What advice would u give her?
