I prefer to use combs to detangle my natural hair over brushes. I use a wide tooth comb first then a small tooth comb second. I use seamless combs which I've read were healthier for hair.

thanks for sharing! i have been meaning to purchase some seamless combs, i just haven't gotten around to it! do you prefer them more than other combs?
@jamilia67483 жыл бұрын
@@BubsBee Yes I do definetly prefer seamless combs over other combs because of the overall benefits for the hair.

I actually use the tre lux leave in conditioner to detangle. Leave ins are more beneficial because I don’t have to wash my hair immediately. I can wait a day or two to wash. Any leave in with slip.

I use African Pride pre poo for the slip. I use the knock off Felicia Leatherwood to detangle. I have fine stands, so if I don’t use a brush my hair will loc.

I like conditioner for the rare times that I pre-poo. I’ve been washing my hair more often so I don’t really need it unless I protective style. I only finger detangle. My hair hates combs and brushes!

Coconut oil is bae for prepoo, overnight when I have time. I have also used Ecoslay Banana DC or the Mane Krush Knotless leave in. I plan on trying Mane Krush Krisis Kontrol Aryuvedic Kleansing mask as prepoo soon.

yes coconut oil is the truth !! i have to try those out, especially mane krush products

@@BubsBee I bought all these products on sale, the only reason I'm ok with using them as prepoo. That Kleansing Mask is my 1st HG product. I'm a newer natural so I still getting to know my hair. But baybee, that mask as a cleanser is DA TROOF!! Pillow soft hair my entire wash day. So good!

My hair tangles real bad so my detangling is a multi day process - 2 days before wash day: install struggle cornrows (cuz I can't really braid). Day b4 wash day - dry detangle with fingers and wide tooth comb and prepoo. Wash day - before shampoo light finger and comb detangle before rinsing out prepoo. After shampoo under running water comb through each section to prep for tea rinse and DC. Comb detangle with DC. After rinse, comb through under running water. I may have to detangle a bit while styling.
@BubsBee3 жыл бұрын
Whoa girl I know wash day is a long process 😩
@connorsmith26653 жыл бұрын
Is that not too much detangling? Why not wash your hair in twists to cut down on breakage and re-detangling?
@jeanninegorden81423 жыл бұрын
@@connorsmith2665 my hair tangles and knots up when wet. I have to dry detangle. The main detangling is with the prepoo. The other times once wash day starts is ok only a few passes with the comb. Even with all those steps, I might have a few tangles when styling. So if I don't do it the way I described, I will have knots instead of tangles.
@jeanninegorden81423 жыл бұрын
@@BubsBee gurrrlll! I wish I didn't have to prepoo, but my hair LOVES it! Coconut oil bae was a game changer for me. I boosted it with essential oils and leave it in the fridge. I apply it like grease, it's much less messier that way.

I'm actually a new subscriber, and just a quick question not in relation to this one, have you at some point cut your hair or reduced it?
@BubsBee3 жыл бұрын
In 2019 I bleached my hair and my ends were damaged. So I slowly cut off the ends every month. My hair has been shoulder length for about a year because I wanted to keep the ends healthy. In March I got another hair cut. And then I recently just got my hair cut shorter again. At this point I really am embracing shape than length. Especially since I will go through post partum shedding after giving birth, I didn't want my hair to look thinner when that happens so I'm pretty much keeping it around shoulder length. Also my hair is not as full as it was in 2016 and 2017. I have had 4 pregnancies since 2016 and with each child I lose a ton of hair. So about every year I am going through post partum shedding. My hair fullness has not caught up yet because I lose so much hair every year. Check out my hair update Playlist. I go more in detail there.kzbin.info/aero/PLdVa73R89ZUcghVmSEm-G24yNvoJhWXeb
