When I was kid, I thought girls could only be tomboys or girly girls. I spent my childhood rejecting all things feminine because I didn't think it was possible to like both feminine and masculine things. Love this reply. I've always been asked if I was a lesbian because of the things I enjoyed doing or the fact that most of my friends were males, from the same people who made me feel like a shitty female and pushed me away from their group. Growing up I've learnt that I deserve my femininity no matter what. Nature gave it to me and once you understand how it shapes you, the gratitude you feel about it is immense, once you pull out your mind from these impossible beauty standards society keeps on pushing to let you feel like a shapeless blob to sell you their "remedies". So bad that so many young minds get subjected to this system in which nature is seen as flawed or useless. It comes from the same people who says that 96% of DNA is useless and refuse to spend any time studying it tho, so what can we even say about it.

Your journey is an eye-opener to me for sure. I'm 19 and also a tomboy, with short hair and binding and stuff but I'm proud to express my feminine hobbies to the world now. At 13, 14 I used to think I was trans, I thought about top surgery and taking hormones but luckily I did not act on it. Now at 19, I'm fully embracing both the feminine and masculine side of my body, as I realize growing a beard or having a flat chest was just my weird attempts at validating my self-worth and using it as a coping mechanism against past sexual assault traumas.

As a trans person myself too i really think that they should have went to a professional therapist to figure out themselves more. This way they’ll figure out if its because they are just uncomfortable and awkward when they were younger and not having body dysphoria, because being awkward and insecure of your body in the early stages of puberty is normal since your body is changing and the feeling is ALMOST similar to dysphoria yet not quite, but a transperson they really dont see their body and mind connect properly even if they try super hard to be comfortable in a dress/suit or anything associated to their assigned birth sex. This is also why many transpeople are only able to transition at 19 or older because they would be able to understand their personality and body much better as their hormone levels settle and have to go to a therapist before you get top surgery or Testosterone/estrogen shots. In my country it’s recommended and required to have therapy before having a t shot ot any gender reassignment surgery to avoid any mistakes.

@Mindless Beast yes definitely. There's people who still haven't regretted transitioning who're on an older age, for example Buck Angel. There's a lot of trans people who used to be suicidal but are living a happy life now that they transitioned. The detransition rate is less than 1% and almost all of those weren't trans either way, and if they were it's bc of the social pressure. I’m so grateful that I am not growing up today because they would have told me that I was transgender. A huge part of the problem is our media and the sexualization of us women way too young. It changes the way everyone looks at us from a young age on and it makes us when we are already uncomfortable with our bodies even more uncomfortable. I tried to starve them off, then cut them off myself (believe it or not!) thought I was gay, then trans, then Asexual when really I was just HURTING and in need of serious (longterm) therapy, which thankfully I got. Fast forward, I've been happily married for 16 years and raised a beautiful family. None of that would have ever taken place if I had been encouraged to make a permanent change while in a broken state of mind! I'm so thankful for people like you, who are getting the TRUTH of this out there (despite the HYPOCRITICAL hate you're all receiving from a community that's supposed to be all about loving yourself for who you TRULY are...as long as it's TRANS, I GUESS?!! Guys you do NOT have to change your gender just because your a female who like guy things or guy or like girl things. That why you HAVE to go through counseling to make sure this is the right thing for YOU. Cause it is not for everyone, it has irreversible effects. It’s okay to be a Tom boy, it’s okay to be a feminine guy, it’s not okay to permanently mess yourself up for the rest of your life. There are so so many people who detransition and the ones who were happy with the change truly had dysphoria and extremely negative feelings towards the natural born sex. So please people think before you do this. And I’m apart of the LGBT community and although some would have you think other wise but it IS somthing that needs to be diagnosed by a doctor, and there absolutely nothing wrong with that. Blessed be 🌛🌕🌜

This hits hard. Growing up I wanted to be a guy so much, and that feeling only grew stronger through my teenage years. I learned that I was Bi-Sexual, hated make-up, liked video games(back then only male gamers were well known), and dressed as a guy. I was embarrassed to be female because femininity was so foreign to me. It took years of therapy to reach the point of self-acceptance and to understand how my childhood played a major role in my self identity. Long story short, I wanted to transition for the wrong reasons, and I'm glad I didn't. I had a friend growing up that transitioned(Male to Female) and for the first time in their life, they are happy and confident with who they are, both on the inside and outside. I'm glad you made the decision that made you most happy. Cheers.

Or maybe ppl need to be less obsessed with appearance and sex? It’s annoying how all the comments on here are just emphasizing how beautiful they are. Like really? That’s all you care about? It makes me glad to be a millennial that grew up with less technology. Cause young ppl just use it to heighten the obsession with appearance. Real love is getting to know a person, you don’t have to be picture perfect. Also stop obsessing with sex at a young age, seriously it’s not necessary. Until you can afford to live on your own and raise a family just don’t worry too much about it. I dunno, but usually ppl don’t get into serious relationships until their twenties from my experience. I was a nerd in high school and wouldn’t have been ready for an intimate relationship during that time, and I think that’s not that abnormal. You’re not really all grown up when you’re a teenager. It takes time and some ppl mature later than others. You don’t need to change yourself, give yourself time to grow up more.

@@narnia1233 awwwwww, your assumptions are absolutely adorable. First, far from everyone in the comments on her videos is commenting on her appearance, so maybe stop obsessing over that and you'll actually see what's right in front of your face. Second, the cut-off point varies on who you talk to, but were I a year or two older I'd be a gen-Xer. So, sorry kid, you missed the mark on that one too. Third, who the hell ever said anything about "real love?" That's really random and kinda weird in this context. No one in the comments here actually knows her. She's basically as much a stranger to all of us as we are to her. The very little that anyone here knows about her is what little she's told us about herself so far, which is very little compared to the full depth and complexity of a whole person. Fourth, I may not know her personally, but from her videos I get the very strong impression that she's definitely not some poor defenseless little girl who needs some random simping Internet "white knight" randomly talking about "real love" to come to her rescue. And fifth, since you randomly brought up "real love" for whatever reason, how about you start with basic respect and refer to her by her actual gender? She's a "she" not a "they." If you want to be a noble "white knight," at least do it right. I feel like we used to have a better grade of Internet trolls back in they day. Now you guys are just getting lazy. If you're gonna troll, at least have the self-respect to put a little effort into it for god's sake, have some confidence in your effort. This was just feeble.

One thing i don't see talked about with this stuff is the role that social media plays. Kids today don't seem to go to their parents or someone older and wiser than them for advice and guidance. They go to social media and ask people who might not even know them and are likely just as immature. As a result someone going through questioning their gender will get affirmation instead of sound advice and be told to ignore their parents because they grew up in a more bigoted world, this their opinion doesn't matter.

I’m not saying young kids shouldn’t go to their parents for advice and guidance. But the unfortunate reality is that transphobia exists and parents are transphobic sometimes. And when kids then go to these parents like “hey, I’ve been questioning my gender I need help with figuring this out.” Those parents will make their life hell. For some kids, the internet is the only safe place they have. And for others (like me), telling people you’ve known your whole life, who have an idea of who you are as a person and what your life will look like, no matter how supportive they might be, that you’re questioning this integral part of yourself, that you’re struggling with identity, can be terrifying. The internet gives me a place to present male, to get information and find people like me. That’s why it’s so important.

@TheFinnDude
@TheFinnDude 3 ай бұрын
@@therealcomment5622 What do you mean with “helping otherwise”? I’m having a hard time understanding your comment. If the kid really has gender dysphoria, it’s been proven that transitioning is the only treatment available. And no, of course little kids shouldn’t get hormones or surgery and it isn’t really done. The whole “10-years-olds get hormones and surgeries” thing is transphobic fear mongering. With kids (and teens, at least the first steps) transitioning means social transition, so hair, clothes, names, pronouns. Medical transition isn’t an immediate thing. Most people don’t come out and immediately have access to medical treatment. For example, in my country, as far as I’m aware, endocrinologists (and surgeons i think) need a letter from a therapist stating that treatment is necessary. This letter is only given after something called the “Alltagstest” where you have to openly present as your gender for at least two years while in therapy.

the fact that we hyper sexualize women from a very young age from the beginning seems to be a huge issue that is pushing people into all kinds of wrong paths. if we as a society weren't doing that, and we were just 'being' with members of the opposite sex, spending time to get to know them...withOUT SEX until marriage...just determining if they are a good PERSON, if you enjoy time with them...MINUS the sex issue...it's called COURTSHIP. I totally agree. It is so sad that sex sells, and it has been used as a weapon against us. Girls and young women end up receiving a message that being a woman means they have to look sexy. This can be very uncomfortable at the wrong age, and or situation. Leading a girl to wonder why she feels so out of place. Transgenderism seems like a fix, because it makes being a man look like a way to be seen for more than just sex appeal. Sadly every FtM transgender that I have asked, "What does it mean to be a man?" can not answer that question with anything other than looks. Young people should be developing their character by building up relationships with family and friends. Now we are in a situation where this cult of transgenderism is taught in schools and the first act of bravery is to reject and separate one's self from family and friends that question why he or she thinks they are transgender. We are in a real bad spot now....I am not sure how this can be turned around.

Dear, I had a relationship with a trans guy and she detransitioned too. She is way more masculine looking than you. For a while I wished to vi through the transitioning because since child I hated to be woman, but my issue was about freedom and with the sexualization of our bodies. You are so beautiful and I can imagine how people look at you all the time and I think you rationalise it too much and had no family and psychological support for your issues. We live in a very sick society and we have access to a lot of information on internet since very early and our parents are so busy and don't pay attention to the details and signs. Darling, I am no one, you don't know me. But if I can give you some advise, try to work to silent your mind a little bit. Practice meditation, or something like that. Be patient. Learn how to calm down your mind and don't worry about other people. Congratulations for your courage to expose yourself her on KZbin and be sure that you are helping some confuse teenagers. Big hug to you!

I’m here just trying to understand and empathize. Growing up is hard. It’s even harder these days, on every level. I’m glad that I went through adolescence and early adulthood in a much simpler time. Best wishes for you and your entire generation.

Growing up these days is actually a lot easier. And because of that people create their own problems they fixate on. If you didn't have time to even think about this stuff, you certainly have more important problems to think about.

It's the stupid overzealous "acceptance". Puberty is such a confusing time where children must find themselves, being praised and embraced to explicitly categorize those feelings takes away the ability for the child to figure it out themselves. It's going take a while for this to settle down again, as pointing out the idiocy of it all will just get you trumped with the "stop being TRANSPHOBIC" card. It's annoying and sad.

I'm here for the same reason. I'm trying to understand what's happening to the youth. I was a child in the 70's and a teenager in the 80's, this was not a thing at all back then. I'm very thankful to have known a world before cell phones, internet and social media. I understand what you mean that it was a simpler time. I did experience being bullied though, but I think bullies have existed for thousands of years, some people just suck.

I can relate to your story so much! When I was in my late teens/early 20s (college), I was a virgin and completely NOT interested in hooking up with guys at all. Just like you I wondered if I was gay or bi, but I just had no sexuality and I felt so different. I saw all my friends constantly hooking up with guys and I just didn't want that at all and I felt like something was "wrong" with me. I think it's shoved on us from a young age as females that we're supposed to want to be disney princesses looking for prince charming, or the lead role in a romantic comedy or something. So those of us who don't have those desires feel like there is something wrong with us and we have to change to fit some societal narrative. The thing is, you are fine just as you are! I didn't have anyone to tell me that when I was that age but I just hope more young women get that message. You don't have to change your body because you don't feel the way society tells us females should feel. The problem is not being female, the problem is the limiting stereotypes that are pushed on young women. I did go on to have relationships later (with guys) to varying levels of success, and in my case I turned out to be a late bloomer rather than completely asexual. It's pretty awful how sexualization is pushed on girls younger and younger. But if you don't feel like having sexual or romantic relationships young, you are perfectly normal!

I love how throughout this entire video she never once bashes trans people, a lot of people who de-transition end up being very transphobic and I feel like those people are so toxic, I love how she perfectly explains that yes, some people who transition aren't really trans and do it for the wrong reasons but the majority really do have dysphoria and really are trans but people just have to make sure they're doing it for the right reasons

With "transphobia", like "homophobia", the bar is on the floor with regard to when those are used to attack anyone outside the rainbow cult.
