Now Yoola have been blocking everything and Kanat has been trying to sort this mess out but it's taking forever. I would suggest writing directly to Dimash's news channel who have been receptive to emails if you word it so they understand its urgent, here is their email address copyright@dimashnews.com He has a press channel on KZbin too the link is on his channel. He also has a Dimash News.Com websiste . I am going to send your video to them I hope this all gets sorted very soon as like you say its hurting him too. Good Luck Caleb 👍💓

I did a big survey in one of the largest fan clubs, with many hundreds of respondents, about how people found Dimash. As I found him through a reactor, I was very surprised to find that only about 15-20% of the respondents did. More than 60% found him through the YT sidebar recommendation algorithm, almost everyone else through a personal recommendation. YT's algorithm requires people to be interacting with Dimash's own videos. So if they are doing a careful analysis of what is driving people to him, pushing Dimash's Dears away from reactors (which many of them spend a LOT of time on) and more toward more views on his own channel makes sense, as that increases his algorithm visibility. And that is one of the things that Yoola promises to do. Taking over reactors' monetization rather than blocking doesn't change those viewing traffic patterns. However, I doubt that their analysis is that careful. And of course the YT automated Content ID system isn't capable of telling a leech reactor apart from a reactor/commentator like Caleb and several others who add value. It's a problem, but with 300 hours of video uploaded to YT every minute, there's no other way than to automate. I haven't had time to do a detailed email to the copyright address at DimashNews but I do intend to (I'm a law professor currently focusing on copyright/royalty issues).
@Snarky_Tart3 жыл бұрын
This long reply isn't directed at you personally, but in the hope to offer some perspectives you might find helpful when you write to the copyright address at Dimash News. I'm unlikely to do that myself, so if you find anything here that you can use, please do, with my gratitude. Dimash's largest fan clubs outside of China have something like 35K-40K members. His official youtube channel has 1.2 Million subscribers. Doesn't that mean that over 95% of Dimash's youtube fanbase doesn't belong to facebook fanclubs? There are a lot of us who don't join fan clubs for various reasons, but we've spent years promoting Dimash and his music through youtube reactors. It's arguably the most successful viral marketing campaign Dimash has enjoyed, and it's free. Most of the Dimash reaction videos are de-monitized by copyright claims (not strikes or blocks), so whoever claims the video receives 100% of the monies generated by inserting advertising in the videos. I "assume" a substantial portion of that has gone to Dimash. The reactors make $0 doing most of their Dimash reactions. It does help build their channel (if they do a good job at reacting), but the majority of the better reactors make Dimash a regular feature on their channels because they genuinely love his talent and enjoy his youtube fans. I remember before the Barclay Center concert, the youtube reactors were heavily advertising the event and providing links to purchase tickets. I remember when we were trying to get Dimash to a million youtube subscribers, starting from about 650,000. All the better youtube reactors were promoting his channel during their reactions, asking their viewers to please subscribe to Dimash's official channel and help him get to 1 Million. Some of them even included instructional videos of how to subscribe to Dimash, because not all youtube viewers normally subscribe to channels. There have been interviews with Khizri, Igor Krutoy, Flavien (co-composer of "Love is Not Over Yet") and Piergiuseppe Zaia (composer and director of "Creators: The Past") talking about how they discovered Dimash on youtube, watching videos that are not on Dimash's official channel. Lara Fabian and Brian May both saw Dimash from youtube links sent to them from The Singer 2017 show---performances that are not on Dimash's official channel. Dimash's youtube reactors include recording artists, opera stars of the world stage, a few actors from popular American TV shows, and some very well-known and sought-after vocal coaches (for example, Ken Tamplin who has studied with Pavarotti's vocal coach, and whose own student has appeared on-stage with Andrea Bocelli). The goodwill and visibility built by Dimash's youtube reactors is immeasurable. These actions by yoola are potentially destroying what has taken years to build. Not to mention there are hundreds of thousands of Dimash fans who regularly watch youtube reactions, and who would otherwise not sit on Dimash's official channel just watching the same videos over and over every day for years. It's the youtube reactors who are providing fresh perspective and content about S.O.S. from "Singer" that means we (youtube fans) probably see S.O.S. at least five times/day. I hope you don't mind this long rant. I, and uncountable thousands of others, are very upset about this short-sighted and destructive development.

@@Snarky_Tart Excellent perspective. I found Dimash in the sidebar (in a reaction video) while watching Dolly Parton and the heavy metal band, Disturbed (don't ask). "SOS. A distressed alien. A reaction. In French. Gotta be crap." I was happy to be wrong. Dimash might be selling beshbarmak from a roadside stand were it not for KZbin reactors! Whoever Dimash has aligned himself with for business purposes is not doing him any good with this heavy-handed approach.

@@davidcullen6797 David Draiman's vocal on Disturbed's "Sound of Silence" is something even most Dimash fans can appreciate. :-) Most of youtube's sidebar recommendations for Dimash are reaction videos. That's another thing we'll lose if Yoola is successful in their purge. The videos from Dimash's official channel won't appear in the sidebar very often, since most fans will watch the official video a few times. The reaction videos bring us new content of Dimash songs every day, so Dimash basically lives in the youtube recommendations 24X7 365.

@@Snarky_Tart It's not a rant, it's an opinion and to be respected. I am amazed at what @Suzanna Moran explained, wow! I would not have imagined this (how could I of course, I am just a user of YT!). Caleb, your explanation of the issues is spot on, and I am glad you have disputed the "block" on YOUR content. Many like me visit vocal coach "reactors" like you (in preference to lay reactors) to learn more about what singers like Dimash can do, AND how they do it. In fact, for 60 years I listened to "pleasant" music - it sounded good, and I never cared about "musicality" because it was seldom special. Then along came Dimash, and if it was not for people like you on KZbin I might have thought there was something strange about me because I got a kind of "man crush" on him due to how his voice runs through my body (not just my ears)! YOU explained how this can happen. You are right in that if we just want to listen to Dimash we can just go to his site - HIS content - and listen only to what he sings. I could do that on Spotify, and that's a completely different experience to actually "learning" something by watching YOU on KZbin analyse and describe what is going on. Is there any way that supporters of YOUR channel - me at least - can assist you with your case to KZbin by emphasising the differences outlined above?
@Joe_cubano3 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you, it is no crime or reason why KZbin can block your videos. You worked hard for them to explain us Dimash's techniques and skills. Caleb the problem is very simple. You demystified the Dimash algorithm. We all recognized that he's talented and unique but at the same time you found a way to reach that level of proficiency. You discovered the ACADEMICS of his style. Obviously it takes almost 20 years or even more for such voice training but such proficiency is attainable through hard work. Dimash should not be seen as an icon. He's a talented musician and artist who went throughout rigorous training. You found a way to explain him. It's very down to earth and attainable WITH HARD WORK, the proper technique and full comprehension of the anatomy on those small muscles. KZbin MUST not prohibit analysis. Instead of people perceiving Dimash as an Icon of fascination, why not understand the science and explanation behind his craft. Adding knowledge should be an endeavor not a grievance.

@TeacherPaulReacts3 жыл бұрын
@Cute Arctic Fox well, did you watch this reactors video? He and I don't do it for the money, in fact, most of our videos pay copyright to the artists. This isn't a dimash problem, this is a copyright issue. This is for all artists. The only complaint we reactors have... the only one, is that our videos get blocked and never to be seen. That's the only problem. I would love to work for free doing Dimash videos, get him paid. I have no problem with that. The fact is, blocking someone's reaction is just unnecessary and unproductive. What is the point of blocking a fan's reaction? Or a vocal coach's reaction? The vocal coach took his time, worked for free, promoted the video and he is still willing to pay copyright. Yet he gets blocked? Is that fair to you? We show appreciation and get blocked. Sometimes even threatening closing the channel with a strike. That is completely horrifying. We work for free, we generate income and we promote the artist, and we deserve to get deleted? No, I won't agree to that. Reactors are a pillar and a powerful ally, on top of everything we provide honest feedback. We put our faces out there and speak truthfully. So I'm sorry, I don't agree with being shut down due to copyright since law protects us under fair use.

I send to you all positive energy and prayers from the oder side of the World: from Argentina. Thank you very much for all your videos, for your work, your dedication, your passion and music. God blessed you.

You make great vids, Caleb. I'm not sure about other record companies but your info (grouses? 😅) will definitely reach Dimash's team.

Sorry to hear that! You are right, Caleb. It was not right at all to block your video! Everyone should share this video and even send it to Dimash and/or his father directly. The whole thing is fishy by the way. The company called Yoola or what directs Dimash' youtube channel right? (If I know well.) They do it by themselves or by Dimash team's direct requests. They does their work bad obviously. Interesting Tara Simon also did reactions on Dimash' songs in the same way you did. Still her videos were not banned/blocked. So what! A little part of one of her reactions was shown in Dimash' documentary Rising. So I do not believe if Kanat or Dimash would have any problem with youtubers reacting on his songs etc Rather there must be something with that company and - as usual - with youtube...

Sorry to hear this....I believe this has happened to other reactors...You tube disgusts me sometimes....Shame about this and all the hard work you have done..............

Hi Caleb, its something his new management company Yoola. They are really being restrictive to all the reactors now. Its a real issue & I dont think his team DimashAli, his father Kanat are quite aware how restrictive its become. We, who are his fan group, are really, questioning Yoola & his fan tributes are also being restricted. I do recommend contacting Yoola as well & his personal management DimashAli

This has happened to other reactors, then days later, their video went through. It's early days with whatever is going on, hopefully it all works out smoothly. I'm glad you are feeling better, and hope your new job is going well. 😃

Thank you so much for explaining this! A lot of reactors are having this problem. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I discovered Dimash because of video like yours! And so so many people with me! I hope YT will take this into consideration and change their bizar rules!! Please don't give up, I have the feeling that it's because of Yoola and the people around Dimash are still finding their way in how to handle this stuff. From what I've seen from comments from Dimash's father (his manager) they are not happy with this happening as well. Hope your health is better now, hang in there, I love your reactions! 🌹

I'm so sorry to hear that. That explains a lot about how youtubers actually don't show the visuals of the videos of Dimash totally but only parts of it or just the voice or a part of the voice...they think that the views that are going to the youtuber are taking from the views to the artist? It's sad that many youtubers are promoting those artists and are getting blocked for their own work in return. Be patient and don't stop.😘😉
