Nashville Hillbilly here, I enjoyed you video. Thank you. I have an 07 Razorback Flying V with a Flame top. I will have this guitar placed in my coffin with me to ride out eternity and also to show off to Dime, if I'm lucky enough to meet him. It's like you said about your Dimebolt, it just feels right. I've had this guitar over 10 years. It has the EMG pickups that Zakk uses but Zakk and Dime were blood Brothers. Srry to ramble. I also have the Korean made dimebolt sitting next to me. I pick it up often. Sounds ok but it's an 05 and I'm hanging onto it. Peace, Thank You.

@@ScottBynoe I have a 1996 Dime Slime that I bought new & have cherished ever since I bought it at the age of 14. It's the one guitar that I will own for ever. Nice collection man. Dime was my inspiration for picking up the guitar. I don't have any dime signatures, but I own several deans, including 2 ml's. A 30th, and a 35th anniversary edition. I've pimped them both out with locking tuners, roller bridges, and a bill Lawrence in one, and a Duncan distortion in the other. The Duncan was wound by mj, so it sounds amazing.

@ScottBynoe3 жыл бұрын
Nearly impossible to find. If you follow along Reverb or any local online classifieds (Kijiji, etc) they almost never come up. And when they do (reverb specifically) they are really expensive and sell quick. The market is global and most people selling a USA model know what they have so it’s hard to find deals anymore. There are a few Facebook groups you can follow as well, but again they are hard to come by and most are already on eBay or reverb that end up on FB. Not to discourage because you can get them, it’s just really hard to come by and they don’t come by often. Cheers!

I owned a washburn dimebag culprit before, bought it in 2012 for around $800 then sold it. Anyway, at the time I searched for articles and magazines, and then browsed washburns archives etc What I understood from everything was that this culprit was actually designed by dimebag, so I'm assuming he came up with the shape of the body probably. Now as far as I can recall...maybe I'm wrong but I learned that they were produced from 1998 to 2002, and manufactured for one year at a time or maybe production stopped in 2000 or 2001. I highly doubt there's only 52 of each model, dimebag wanted to share this guitar with the masses. DIY people did most of the upgrades on the culprits, including the signature Seymour Duncan dimebuckers, some variants didn't have a dimebucker but the pickups were still more than decent. I think the entire line didn't have a real floyd rose. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, But maybe the merit is: hey kid play a gig earn a couple bucks and upgrade it yourself type deal. Making it affordable for the youth, waay under a $1000 bucks. Now if there's only 52 of each model and we had no clue all this time, I guess ppl who own a washburn culprit should take note. mark it down regardless.

Haha yes, I'm well aware. It's been up there for a while now. They have no shame. Ridiculous.

Dime was a beast. Perhaps the greatest. That is a sick collection. They need to leave the dime name alone. Hopefully zakk and schecter dont make dime models. Rita is money hungry.

I had a poster from a guitar world that had Dime with two chicks and holding the Washburn DIME V. Its the ONLY promo he did with it, and this guitar was NEVER played by him. Pure marketing and it was sold also in a starter pack after washburn. nd randall merged.

Dime was playing the black Dean ML at the time of the tragedy.

Dimebag is an example of playing the guitar not too fast but accurately and cleanly extracting every tone from the guitar.Today's kids practice too much speed. So when they go on stage, they fall out of rhythm and they have problems playing every slower solo section.

Dude these prices are bullshit, lol. I was just a kid when these things were being sold for those prices.

Yup, back in late 90s early 2000s you could get used D3s for well under $2000CAD. I used to pay on average $1500CAD for a used USA D3. You're lucky if you can even find one for sale these days, and when you do they are very expensive now.
