White vinegar soaked cloth and followup with dry cloth, worked for me 50 years even during lard, Crisco frying chicken twice a week.

+1 alcohol. Part 2: stop cooking with Canola oil as it leaves waxy residue on surfaces. Some other oils do too but Canola is the largest problem.

I tried using the original goo gone on my painted cabinet, but i could see the paint starting to come off. So I freaked out and stopped. This cleaning goo gone doesn’t remove any paint, right?
