Still haven't really bought anything. The new nephew finally arrived so started his position in SCHG. Will see if this Sept will have its historical drop or not with rate cut coming and this being an election year. Also about 3k from goal in taxable account, hope to get there by end of year.

we started around the same time as I was just getting out of school when I focused on investing (I started in 2020 according to the program that the bank uses) it' been a wild ride lots of highs and lows but i've learned that time in the market is always better then timing the market from so many different areas and that has proven to be very true as im seeing some really nice gains as time makes it way around

I’d like to see a video of your thoughts on the tax rate cuts, and what effect it will have. I personally pulled out 30% of my portfolio to wait and see, as i have no idea what will happen but want to be ready if it drops.

Awesome 3K milestone to cross by end of 2024 Ryne! 👍 I just DCA on ~85 stocks and ETFs, costing me about 1600.00 CDN per week. We gotta be ready for the next bull cycle, as we never know when a bottom will be or will the market just jump from here after the first rate cut. This time around is different during the crossroads of rates cutting.

@@rynewilliams - I just want to be ready and we all know a bull cycle is coming soon. I invest pretty much everything I bring in; majority going towards stocks, ETFs, GICs, HYSA, and Pokémon cards. I have been living very minimally for the past 2 years to delay gratification for a better tomorrow and buying my time back. Most of the people I know think I am nuts but at least I am SLAB-ing.... Sleeping Like A Baby.

I'm at 10% for the year and a high for me, but could have done way better. Everything I sold in my portfolio popped off. Sold 400 shares of VICI back at $29ish a share, 500 shares of Sofi around 6.50 a share, And friggan 100 shares of KO around 61 a share. I held them all so long through many dips. So annoying!!!

@@rynewilliams after months of KO staying bogged down and it finally climbed back to $60 and typically that was resistance so I sold thinking I’ll buy back on the dip, VICI was coming back up from like $26 a share and I thought for sure it would hit $30 and take another dip to $26, and as for Sofi I listened to that KZbinr Jeremy (financial education) say it would be dead for the next year. So I sold. You would think after I followed the bonehead through hell with Tattooed chef and lost I would have know better but NOPE! 😂 😢.

Everyone has wins and losses, he's made a killing this year, kinda messed up that you are focusing on tattoo chef

@@suttsd Hey, I sold SoFi, I made that choice, and I took responsibility for it. I held onto Tattooed Chef for too long because I believed Jeremy when he said it might bounce back, but we all saw what happened with that. I started feeling SoFi could go down a similar path, so I made my own decision to sell. I don’t blame others for my trades-I own those decisions-but sometimes their advice can sound reasonable, and you take it into account.
