My Dodge Dart Looks NEW INSIDE After DESLUDGING It With BG Dynamic

I bought a cheap 2013 Dodge Dart SXT to rent out on Turo. When I bought it I was told the maintenance was always kept up with and it was ready to go. There was basically nothing wrong with it but a slow valve cover leak, until ‪@TylerPotter‬ and I pulled the valve cover off... thats when we found the engine full of sludge. I cleaned the engine out with BG Dynamic in the last video and everyone wanted to see under the valve cover. Today we're tearing it back down to see the insanely satisfying results.

Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

Who the hell is calling shenanigans on a guy who 1. Has never lied about work he's done, and 2. Has no incentive to lie about what it did. Either it worked and that's awesome, or it doesn't work and he'd just say so. Yes, one could say he was paid to "lie". That's just the paranoia talking, kids!

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 Lotta talking there. Context and source matters. He's talked a ton on products that didn't work and you dont see them pop up again. If he was pushing the product regardless of result, there would be a ton of his videos all featuring it and pumping it up, a whole bunch of fluff about what it does, etc. That's not the case with this guy.
@CrashRacknShoot

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 cool. Didn't happen here. Past work would show that. And if some idiot takes advice from someone off one video and gets burned, who's fault is that? That's on whoever the dumb person is that only confirms a bias with one single source. We have the internet. Verify multiple times.

I reused the valve cover gasket I had very recently installed on my 95 Neon when I had to get the proper 1 year only spark plug hole gaskets for the hemi style spark plug tubes at the top. The gasket was silicon with the metal spacers on each of the mounting holes. It wasn't crushed yet and didn't leak afterwards so you should be fine with any luck at all. I didn't use any rtv and it sealed fine, unlike the old cork gaskets on my Dart that needed all the help I could give it.
@WatchJRGo
@WatchJRGo 2 жыл бұрын
I remember the Neon gasket, actually a pretty fancy one 💯
@69Dartman
@69Dartman 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was surprised how well made the gasket was. I really liked that car, it was a highline coupe 2 door and was surprisingly quick and handled really well for what it was. The 95 only was kinda like the 68 340 4 speed Darts. It had a slightly hotter cam and made 136hp vs the 132 all the other later single overhead cam engines made. It also used a lot of unique parts like a oil separator box on the egr setup and other parts. I have a 06 Charger Hemi RT now so completely went to the polar opposite but its really fun to jump on the loud peddle. 🤣

I worked at a Honda/Mazda dealer in Service mostly inspecting incoming trades for the used car lot. I thought, I remembered that nearly every neon coming in had a blown head gasket. I could be wrong, it was the early 00s
@69Dartman
@69Dartman 2 жыл бұрын
@@DUMBERTHANYOUTHINK The early Neons used a normal gasket to save a few bucks per car vs the mls gasket Mopar specified because of Daimler. That destroyed their reputation. Mine had it done at 70k and it was a factory recall. It had almost 190k on it when the timing belt snapped and gasket was still going.

Does anyone know what kind of long-term effect, if any, these sludge cleaning products have on the rings, seals, and gaskets? That looks amazing, you probably brought back another 10-20 hp that had been lost due to friction and heat buildup from the sludge, and if the future owners continue proper oil changes it should last another 100,000 miles now. But I'm just wondering if those components are affected at all by the chemicals in the sludge-cleaning fluid.
@konraddelong6456
@konraddelong6456 Жыл бұрын
No negative effects. And with the same cleaning of the piston ring lands this service will restore compression loss due to ringland deposits that hold the ring from properly expanding to the cylinder wall. When done by a BG Shop BG will provide the BG Lifetime Protection Plan on the engine if performed prior to 125,000 miles up to $2,000.

Wow, thanks for this video. It was very interesting to see how clean that engine is now. If you BG treat another engine, maybe save a few ounces, in case you get your hands on something like a riding mower or snowblower for your property that has been neglected. Then you could give the engine a quick rinse. And my 2 cents about running the engines inside - even if the building is almost like being outside, my suggestion is some CO detectors throughout the building, to stay safe.

Two comments primarily. Use Marvel Mystery Oil in it about 4 to 5 days before you change the oil keeps that crap from happening inside the engine especially with modern engines that really need to be kept clean. Marvel Mystery Oil will even keep a Ford 3 valve 5.4 running. Secondly don't ever put standard plugs and these Chrysler Motors the Havanese or the four cylinders. Put iridium plugs in it. The Bosch platinum plugs we're so much better that I want to put a set in a 2.2 and 79 thousand miles later I pulled them out to change them and they were like brand-spanking-new and I put them right back in. The iridium plugs. Driving down Woodward Avenue after changing the plugs on my wife's 300C with the Hemi I was getting 46 miles per gallon at about 45 miles an hour. The NGK laser iridium or a waste of money. You're literally spending more than twice the amount you need on a good set of Bosch iridium plugs. And they will run 200,000 miles

This looks like one of the more easier valve covers to remove on modern day vehicles… why would this ever be considered time consuming… still good to see the inside

What is the kurfuffle? As I recall you've done similar before at Car Ninja on a Corvette?

I think the proper way to "torque to spec" is to tighten it until you feel light-headed and begin to see stars

I'm a little confused why you had to do this except it's obvious that anyone that didn't see the Camaro cleaning might doubt the products used. Thank you for taking the risk just to shut up the haters.

Although it wouldnt be financially responsible, it would be cool to see BG run though a 3v 5.4.

Now it’s time to run some Amsoil full synthetic to give a long life to that engine and protect it from sludge.

First off, what that engine treatment was able to do boggles the mind. Amazing stuff. Second, why can't youtube block all the ridiculous porn bots?

Can try Kerosene. Add small amount to oil. Idle for 15 minutes. Do before oil can and filter. Put in cheap oil. Drive 50 to 100 miles drain oil and change filter again. Ahould ve good to go. Find videos on it.

You should have told all the doubters to just go back and watch the Camaro video, after seeing the job the BG Dynamic did I was sold.

Man, I wish my elected officials listened to their people as well as you do. I think I would have referred them to the V6 Camaro videos to show the results. This treatment should be required for any vehicle coming out of a "free" manufacturer maintenance program that lets a car go for 12,000 miles on an oil change. Speaking of oil, whatever happened to the blackstone test of the honda civic oil?

A lot of people hate the Dart. I've always thought it was a nice looking car. Its a lot nicer than the neon. I like large sedans so I would never own one though.

Please sell all the cars for your car rental business and move on to something else. Renting cars is obviously not worth the time, money, and stress that you put into it. Let me know if I'm wrong (and why).
