To everyone who’s having this issue. As far as I’m concerned it is an anti theft issue. The car thinks someone is trying to steal it so it won’t allow it to start. I haven’t been able to try this as of yet but to fix it you ever get a new WCM or you can also just remove the negative terminal for about 30 seconds and when you replace it the car should start. Once again I haven’t been able to test this yet. I’m waiting for my car to do this nonsense again. But from what I’ve read online that’s how to fix it. If you replace your battery it’ll just happen again.

Make sure the ground cable coming from the battery going to the strut tower is tight I had a similar issue on a 06 stratus and it ended up being a loose ground cable

Just go to a trusted auto parts store and have them test your battery, alternator, and starter. If your battery doesn’t have enough charge to test it, it’ll likely be the battery. Always start with your battery and go from there. I work at an auto parts store and we do this all the time, so we’re pretty familiar with a lot of cars.

Robert Fore if it was the keyfob it should be a message on your dash when you try to turn it on, but he has the 2014, and it was doing that the day he brought it from Dodge which was 6 months ago. He got to my other friend house and the starter gave all the way out. So don't listen to that "cashier mechanics" because u gone do what this dude did, buy unnecessary shit.

The battery was the secondary issue. The fuel relay is stuck in the open position the fuel pump stays running and burns the battery. It's a relay that is soldered into the TIPM (fuse box)

I currently was having this problem,put a new starter and no start. Turns out its the YELLOW TERMINAL CABLE leading to the starter.I was going to change my battery but this lead wasn't holding right,changed it for a new one and all starts well.hopefully this helps you guys

My 2012 Dodge Durango 3.6 L always maintained and went to take it just from the side yard after hooking up our tent trailer, to bring it out to front drive... wouldn’t turn over and the ETC lightening bolt red indicator turned on... all would work except for the engine to start (even heard the “click” like it wanted to)... KZbind some, looked in the vehicle manual... checked fuses etc... found this guys video and I thought... nah... that can’t be my Durango’s problem, but what could it hurt?!... I grabbed our jumper cables... took my other car around to jump my Durango and Wah-la!! It turned over and no more ETC idiot light!... I’ll check with my go-to mechanic soon.... but at least now we can get to our camping trip! I’ll bring my jumper cables just in case! 😉👍🏼

***I need to add now, we found out it has to do with the alternator recall... it started making a horrible screaming noise and after turning off and then tried to turn on again, it wouldn’t turn over.... check out the alternator recall for some Dodges 2011-2015.... my niece had her Durango almost catch on fire because of this.... dealership will repair/do recall at no charge.... that’s what I’m doing next. 👍🏼😉

I have a 2009 Sebring 2.4L, the starter just went out at 293,000 miles. With that many miles, I'm not complaining, Took me 2hrs, taking my sweet time, got it done. Not too bad, let's see if i can push this car to 400,000 miles!

Check your glove box light or unplug it. My 2011 had this issue and I went through 3 dealerships, overnight draw tests... all negative. They disconnected the glove box light - and never again an issue.

Good Bideo , Guess I will unplug the Negative Cable & Wait 20 Min , Then Reconnect to see if this works. like Wash & Rinse, I Keep Trying but same 1 Second Starter Begins but Disconnects???? ( The car is an even overheating or hot) my son just filled it with a full tank and it’s kind of like vapor lock, so I gotta take it to my mechanic after I check everything as much as I can, I even have a premium AUDEW Super battery jump starter that can jump over 20 cars so I just let it charge the battery to see if that could help

It Was electrical Connection Issue. Fix by checking and tightening Your Connections. My Mechanic friend Went over all the power Connections and it Closed the Loop.allowing car to hold current. Works Perfectly now

My Durango 2011 did same thing, had to replace the GEL type battery, by the way if dont know. Its located under the passenger seat under floor panel, there more expensive, has a vac. tube to it. was almost 200.00... the system seems to be very touchy to just a little voltage shortage. just a little under and it wont start. Im now been having a horn alarm issue. going off for no good reason done it twice now. Their is a recall on some ( 2011 Durango) and others for a internal relay that could shut the fuel off at any time, they are installing a external relay for the fix.. Also just got a notice about a month or so ago on the diodes in Alternator may fail at any time, they have not as of yet decided what to do yet but will let know when they come up with a fix. Check your recalls... are several.

People love throwing parts at cars and claim they are mechanics. If someone hasn't looked at your car they can't tell you for sure what is wrong. There are many things that can cause this issue. Just throwing parts at stuff will just make you wallets thinner. Blow the money on a multimeter instead then watch videos on how to use one.

Except for when I try and jump start the car it still doesn’t start ( I charged it for 15 minutes and car will barely crank over then stop on it’s own).
