I actually pay for premium. I mostly do it for the background playing, YT music and downloads but the ad blocking is the cherry on top. However, I did try to not use it for a month out of curiosity a bit ago and I didn't get past week 2. Tbh, although Premium is pricey, I think that its worth it just with YT music included.
