Question: Do you have, and/or play, a 2nd violin and/or a viola-? I'm curious because after playing now for 51 years, two of my 6 children, along the way, took up violin, too. However they recognized that with oncoming marriage & children, they needed the, proverbial, "δαγ-joβ", ergo: I inherited back two additional 'fine' violins. The problem is,{ and this is where I was wondering if you could help me}, I feel like I have to keep these 'other' two violins "played-in" so as to hinder any sedentary damage; ...however, my real Q. is now I am facing the problem of playing these violins throughout the week, but "they all have different angled, i.e. slanted bridges and this is really challenging me as, now over the last year or so, I an only coping to play relatively decently, but "worse", it's effecting what once was my much higher level of playing 'my' violin {as I was, obviously, used to its bridge's slant), but now my playing on all three violins has average-out and is a lower level on my main violin. Thus, this whole [long] Q. may be a moot point if *YOU* don't own but one violin, then this is not a problem for you, ...but "if" you 'do' own another violin: How do you adjust your bowing to the different slants/angles of the bridges-?! (( => Thus, if you only own just the one violin, how would you advise me to deal with this problem-?))

Can confirm the standing desk is a 10/10 but I've had my Sennheiser HD280PRO's for 10 years and they're still going strong 💪💪 music is a lot more fun to make and listen to when you have good equipment! Also great work by the cameraman 👏

If you’re going the route of product endorsement you might think about links to your clothes. 10 people may want one of those microphones, but thousands want that shirt.
@source4magic3 жыл бұрын
Hint: the shirt is IN the video. SS- I see you linked to clothes in older videos. What fans really want is to hear you- your tone, nothing virtuosic, a song, anything. Touch the hair to the string, please.

The microphones tend to pick up a lot of bass due to the proximity effect, which basically means the closer you are to the mic the more bass it picks up and the farther you are the less bass! I think the more modern microphones are being designed to have a more flat response throughout the frequency spectrum, but the newer headphones are definitely being calibrated for some slamming bass
@SuminaStuder13 жыл бұрын

Hi, I noticed you said “Skype lessons”. Audio quality-wise, is it better than Zoom?
@SuminaStuder13 жыл бұрын
@Trust the Fire My experience so far is that the audio quality depends on the student & my internet connection as well as audio equipment, and far less on the programs I've tried out. Zoom would be good if all of my students had ultra high speed internet set up (because then the sizable data would be processable with the upload/download speed) but currently, Skype matches my students and my situation best. Also, I prefer how Skype has a chat history that doesn't disappear after the call (good for when I send sheet music and the student will still have access to it after the lesson). Hope this helps! :)

Thanks for sharing your complaint! I also try to educate about acoustic sound production and share advice on what to look for when investing in an audio setup, regardless of the product that I am convinced of/highlight. If that knowledge wasn't worth the time you spent watching a third of my video... well, please feel free to tune in next time 🎶

@@SuminaStuder1 Sorry, wasn't trying to be mean or anything. I know first-hand how much effort and hard-work it takes to be a musician, let alone a professional musician and a youtuber at the same time. I just think it would have been a little bit better if you said at the beginning that you're going to review something in the video in order to avoid people like me who just assume it's a commercial and try to skip it, and then end up getting butt-hurt when they find out it's too long and start writing mean comments in the comment section, unaware that you would actually read them... sorry 'bout that...
