Thanks as always everyone lockdown is getting in the way but I’m trying to work around it. It’s likely the battery had leaked to strip the paint before the condensation caused the rust I forgot to mention that part

Too bad that rust was worse than expected. I recently found a clean rust free E30.. I was looking for years. Drove it back from San Francisco to Chicago in 30 hours nonstop lol. We also planning on s54 but decided to go K24. Good luck with your build looking forward to see the progress.

Sounds awesome that was some drive you completed! The K24 is one hell of an engine and they drive great with a 4 cylinder!

Lap weld and plug weld easier and stronger Just use brush able or sprayable seam sealer
