You should make a surviving your period guide. Like how to look cute and clothes that you wont have to feel too worried about leaking in and how you deal with cravings and cramps and bloating etc...

Also check out menstrual cups. Like anything new, it make take a couple of days to get used to, but they are a GAME CHANGER, AND they can last for up to 10 years. So no more tampons/pads.❤

Amazing that you wait to check in, I always check in online as soon as it's available just for peace of mind. I know you end up doing it again when checking your luggage at the airport but it confirms your seat choice early. One less thing to worry about.

agreed 100%. i'd rather pick my seat asap, pay for any check in luggage and have that be done with (rather than waiting til the end and getting assigned to a MIDDLE SEAT for example). i also find that in my experience the bag drop line has next to no one in it vs the line of those checking in in person. i set an alarm for myself to be able to check in exactly 24hrs before.

I tend to go the extra step of getting a confirmed seat when I book so I dont have to worry about it - it costs a couple dollars more depending on the airline but so worth it. Especially since I have bad food allergies so if it is a flight with a free meal (aka international) I can pre-order my food and get something I can eat. (Also since I tend to fly international you have to recheck in in person to show your passport anyway so I save the step of checking in online and do it all when I book.

One time (flying with Air Canada) I almost got bumped because I waited to check in at the airport, despite being there a couple hours early. Now I always check in as soon as I can (24 hours ahead), whether or not I'm checking a bag. I don't know what other airlines policies are though.

@Heather Gilbert - wow that is crazy! I usually fly Air France when going abroad and because you have to go through their passport check in person, they only care about when you check in in person, online check in only lets you pick a seat if you havent ahead of time. I'm pretty sure that Air New Zealand and Quantas were the same way when my uncle and I flew with them (he was paying so he took care of everything - but I know we pre-picked seats and we had no internet on the trip so at least the return and mid-point flights we didnt check in online - or I should say he refused to use any internet on his vacation so I found cafes to email home and we only got the free wifi at hotels - again that only I used). But then again these were all international flights with passport checks at check in - and your passport has to be verified in person by an airline employee.

I don't know what it is, but I loving flying... even though I did it once. It's just something about being up in the sky that makes me happy and free! My sister and I booked a flight that's supposed to leave in 3 months and I can't wait! It's her first time! I'm already starting to plan what time I should go to bed, wake up and leave since my flight leaves at 5 in the morning. Anticipating!

I'm big on packing lists too. A couple of years ago, I started saving the lists in excel with the different tabs labeled by the trip name. This makes it so easy cause I don't have to rethink the list every time. Plus Christmas travel from one year to the next (or a fall European trip, or a camping trip, etc) has a lot of packing overlap, so I can just copy, paste, and edit a little as necessary!

Nifty idea. I bet it gives you a great chance to streamline to only the items you need and know you will use. Kind of like scanning all your receipts to track where your money is really going.

The Trtl neck pillow allowed me to maintain my sanity and comfort on my recent flight to Paris. It makes such a difference! So glad it works for you, too! Yay, Trtl! (Also, if you get reeeaally cold on flights, I recommend the Snugpak Jungle Blanket. It's really lightweight and folds up into a small compression sack so it is super easy to travel with.)

Another word of advice is to not check your bag until you get to your gate. A lot of times flights might lose space and the desk agents will ask to have people to volunteer to check bags, if you do at the gate, it’s normally free.

I always make sure to leave anything I might forget by the front door, such as an umbrella or gloves. Also clothes that might wrinkle I hang up beside the suitcase to put inside it first thing in the morning.

Just recently discovered the pillow as well! (Different brand but same thing) For someone takes long flights regularly this is a life saver! I can sleep so much better on the plane now! I also use it on a coach/car/ journey, you can use it anywhere to sleep sitting up. And it is much lighter weight and space saving than a donut pillow, it also looks like you are wearing a scarf so people may even not notice you are wearing a 'pillow'.

Your travel tips are always so helpful. Do you think you would be interested in making videos about things like how you plan trips/itineraries (i.e. Flights, hotels, best places to eat or activities to do and things to see). I know you travel a lot for work but you seem to take trips for pleasure as well (which you must have to plan a bit more on your own.) I love traveling but the idea of booking a sketchy hotel or missing some great attractions can be a little overwhelming. Or even things like how you overcome or handle language barriers when traveling outside English-speaking countries. Would love to know how you navigate these things! Thanks for a great video 😀

I set my alarm 24 hours from my flight time to check in on my phone. If you have loyalty points you can get upgraded by the order that you checked in and potentially change to a better seat. I also found that sticking to one airline ha helped since I travel frequently. I find that most of Delta’s planes have been upgraded with a built in TV

I have not heard about this turtle neck pillow/scarf yet but I'm sold!! Like, I'm not a huge fan of the regular neck pillow because it's too bulky for me but this turtle neck pillow might solve this case of having comfort sleeping on the go! Thank you!

Do not wait to check in until you get to the airport! As a flight attendant and a former customer service agent for an airline. I would totally recommend still checking and 24 hours before hand, even if you were checking in a bag! You can usually pay for your baggage fees online and there’s usually a backdrop line. So that even though you have a bag to check in, you are already checked in and you paid your fees. It’s a lot quicker of a line to drop off a bag when you’ve checked in already. You also get to pick your seat 24 hours before hand, if you wait to check in until you get to the airport there are a lot less choices for seats and some airlines that overbook flights will bump the last people that checked in.

Great tips! One thing about the dishwasher however. Running it when you are leaving for any length of time is not a good idea because this could be disastrous if it breaks or leaks and many gallons of water or flooding is sitting on the floor for a day or a week or more. Disaster on so many levels!

A tip for getting up is putting your phone with your alarm like outside your room so you can get up to turn it off instead of being in bed and picking up your phone turning it off and going back to sleep

I do the same thing when I’m traveling. The night before I gather everything and set out my clothes. I also make the same morning to do list. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I don’t forget anything and we always come home to a trash free-dirty dish free house.

I can’t sleep before any type of travel. Totally understand needing multiple alarms on different devices. Several years ago there was a glitch with both my husbands and my phone over NYs eve and our clocks went funny and both our alarms didn’t go off and hubby ended up being 4 hours late for work (he was mean to leave at 4 and get there by 8, they rang at 8 wondering where he was).

I have to leave early for my flight this Sunday. It really helps having everything ready a day before because chances are I will be a zombie on autopilot. I already have my checklist ready to make sure the heating is off, windows closed, etc and also list of things I need to have to be able to travel. The only problem for me is that I need to wash my hair everyday because it gets really greasy so I need additional 10-15 minutes to wash and dry them. I also wear make up, I am not fortunate enough to feel good being out without make up on but after getting on my connecting long-haul flight I am planning to take my make up off, maybe even do a face mask and put make up before landing in Korea. I am trying my best.
