Taking my biased cap off, I’m honestly so excited for next season. Our off field issues are sorted after selling Mangala and Niakhate to Lyon for £57m and Vlachodimos to Newcastle for an inflated fee, and we’ve brought in a decent winger/wing back in Eric Moreira, and close to signing Milenkovic from Fiorentina. Nuno also wants a winger or 2, good times ahead!

Nuno ought to be focused on another No9 - as any Forest fan knows, Wood & Awoniyi can only be relied on to be fit for 60% of the season - and Wood is out of contract next June, I recall. Don't ask me who - but I do think that we need another Striker who has played at least 2 years in the PL and so knows what it's about. As for Awoniyi - he need to lose a stone in weight.

Ipswich are going to surprise everyone, except possibly their manager, Kieran McKenna is undoubtedly a very good manager. He will want to do a lot better than 17th.

2 seasons of winning every week it’ll be a massive challenge to the squad and manager how they react when they lose/draw most weeks and are on the end of some massive losses. One thing Steve Cooper drilled in to Forest players and fans was to move on quickly from defeats and focus solely on the teams around them 👍🏻 good luck!!!!

I’ve always had a soft spot for Ipswich but it’s a steep learning curve in the Premier League. It’s hard to see there being three weaker teams but you never know.

You totally missed Wolves signing Strand-Larsen and while Kilman has gone he suffered a big dip in form at the end of last season and Mosquera was doing a very good job out on loan. He is Kilmans natural replacement. Throw in a 17 year old Pedro Lima and wolves have done very good early business!

I think forest will surprise everyone. Everything is positive around the club, we are making exciting signings and not selling our star players. I think we won't be in a relegation scrap and we will finish the season comfortably in 12-14.

If we're lucky with avoiding injuries, keeping our key players and get in a striker with the same capacity as Awonyji when fully fit, then I would say 10-11th place. Not too likely that all those factors will kick in, so I would be happy with a 13th place. But most of all, I'm delighted to see we has an exciting and entertaining team again. We have already showed that we can beat Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa, so there sure will be lotsa great moments at WFCG for the years to come. COYR!

I'm 90% certain you will fight for relegation again this year, but will be one of the stronger relegation clubs. I think 15-16 place is a fair assumption. The squads are vastly better above, so much of it lies on Nuno's ability to elevate the squad. Maybe 14 if a club like Fulham becomes a failure with the sale of Palhinha.

I’m bias as a Forest fan but I genuinely think we’re going to surprise some people this season. Everything at the club is going so positive at the moment, we hired the Benfica scout and the signings we’re making are genuinely smart decisions and aren’t players we’ve signed just for the sake of it like the past 2 seasons. It also seems like we’re keeping our best players as well. Personally I think we’re going to finish 12th but we’ll see

@@rjw4762 In all honesty I didn’t think we’d finish anywhere higher than 16th this season, majority of the 14 signings we made were completely pointless and out of the signings we made in January, Sels was the only one who played frequently. This season I think we’ll do much better, it looks like we’re improving our defence which in my opinion is our biggest problem from last season

Something to note in regards to Brentford was that they were among the most injury-hit teams in the league last season, with it being specially severe between Mid November and Mid March ... there were one match just after Christmas where we started in our best possible 11, but only 1 or 2 of the outfield players would've been starting if absolutely everyone was fit for it, and particularily in defense we had an absurd amount of different lineups due to various injuries (in particular Henry and Hickey) As lose to worst case scenario as possible, and in a regular season with regular strength promoted teams, we could've been in big trouble. Brentford for 14th I'd say, with relegation being Leicester, Forest and Ipswich

14th only if Igor proves to be a massive success (pre Gamble-Toney level). Otherwise 15-17th place. They will be fighting, but they also have Wissa and Mbeumo, both great players, and they have a sold defense with a coach doing great tactics. So all in all they will make it, but it will demand hard work and dirty results towards the end of the season. I expect Southampton, Forest and either Ipswich or Fulham (yeah Fulham) in the relegation spots.

There is a difference between Aston villa and Newcastles champions league situation. Newcastle went from no European football to CL, while Villa are going from conference league to CL. So with that, a new CL format,and a very experienced European manager the CL might not affect them as much and they could go far.

Newcastle 'flopped' because they had a thin squad and a crazy amount of injuries. At one point they were playing same starting XI for 3 consecutive games without any substitutions. They were still able to finish 7th. Villa may or may not have the same issues depending on a kind draw and luck with injuries and game management time utilised by Emery.

Unpopular opinion- As a Liverpool fan, this season I’m worried about Man Utd because i can see them sneaking into the top 4 with the singing of Yoro and they could catch most teams off guard with a potential gelling of the team!! 😅

It's very hard to predict this season. City and Arsenal seem the likely top two, but after that I really don't know. Hard to know what to expect of Liverpool, Man Utd or Chelsea, also Villa will have to manage higher expectations this season which is something they're not used to. Very open season ahead

Villa really building a top 4 squad , very impressive business as they are methodically targetting theareas they struggled In last season And they aren't finished yet, I expect another 2 top quality signings after Onana and Philogene And with Ramsey , Mings and Buendiua back that's like another 3 new signings Emery is creating a toolbox of players that are exciting , young , have high ceilings anc potential and are versatile allowing him to have more flexibility to switch up systems unlike last season

And then you are almost there. Oh, and Wolves in the 10th-14th range. Gary O'neil a very good manager, but the lack quality many places on the field. Let's see what the new signings can do.

@@satch2000we shall see but they don’t need to sell any important players now as finances are fine. Will have to be a crazy bid to sell MGW or Murillo. Elanga is staying but is replaceable. Have you seen who they’re buying and have bought already? The main reason they struggled last season was they didn’t have a commanding GK or CB. They’ve bought a 6ft8 GK from Brazil Carlos Miguel and look to be signing a 6ft5 CB - Milenkovic from Fiorentina who has been a top player in Serie A for last 5 seasons and Serbia international who got to Conference League Final last 2 seasons. Just need a forward like Reiss Nelson and should be challenging top 12.

I've put Brighton 9th. I think our signings of ultra young players will give us an upside for the coming seasons. Hopefully, they can help us land a European place in the coming years.

The quality of the promoted sides is so much better this season it'll be harder for teams like Brentford, Everton, Wolves and Forest - Leicester I think will be the only promoted side to go straight back down but that's mainly because of a lot of mitigating circumstances like the points deduction and losing KDH. Ipswich and Southampton have done some solid business and I think they'll stay up. The Tractor boys have kept Hutchinson and Greaves finally gets a chance to prove himself in the PL after being one of the best EFL CBs for a couple of years now. Saints retaining Downes and Harwood-Bellis also bringing in Sugawara, experience in Lallana/Taylor and taking a punt on Ronnie Edwards. Only concern is they might lose Walker-Peters.

bro you’re clueless 💀💀💀 Brentford to go down, do you know anything about football? they had the most injuries out of any team in the prem last season, and their striker was banned for 9 months, but they still stayed up fairly comfortably. Season before that they were the only team to beat the treble winners home and away, united 4-0 and so on, also finished 1 spot off europe. You’ll see brentford top 10 this season lol

Forest lost a lot of points from winning positions last year. To date they have kept their best players and have sold or released several players while also strengthening the defence. The squad really do look like they get on with each other; so, by taking all the positives from this, I think they will be much further up the table than you think; maybe top 6.

As an Ipswich supporter, who predicted top six, and an automatic if things went really well, last season, my prediction is 10th to 12th. We have had 0 players at the Euros, and as it happens, Bournemouth had the most at the Euros. Leicester likely to get a points deduction, talk is 15 points, and Everton and Forest are also sailing close to the wind.

I support Forest but I'm one that makes predictions with a sense of realism rather than being massively overly optimistic, I think 14th/15th is a realistic prediction, will need to sort out the shoddy defence and dreadful away form if we want to finish any higher

As a saints fan appreciate you saying we're staying up. No one else can guarantee it will predict Southampton to stay up. No one has any idea how Southampton will do but they'll put us rock bottom as usual. The team that is always predicted to get relegated. Even in the era when Southampton were finishing 8th - 6th with Pelle, Mane, Tadic, people still put us to get relegated. Let's be honest here, if you definitely can say with certainty that Southampton will get relegated with a manager that hasn't even had a chance to prove himself, you're either a genius or know nothing about football. Me as saints fan, my head says we will go down with Russ in charge, I don't rate him at all. But I hope for all the world and my heart says we will stay up and surprise people again. Aston Villa in the UCL, they will end up in 5th or 6th, they also sold their two best players and brought in many other new players which imo is risky business. Arne Slot needs time to implement his ideas and i don't think this Liverpool is a strong as we are used to, in a competitive EPL i think they will end 4th or lower. Tottenham in 7th is ridicilous in my opinion, Ange Postecoglous 2nd season, i think they will be more consistant altough they might focus on the Europa League to bring home a trophy, i think 4th is realistic. Chelsea is a very exciting attacking threat but my god their defence is inconsistent and not good enough, i see them staying in 6th.

Too early for final predictions but I hope you're dead wrong about predicting City to win again. If the Premiere League is to keep it's integrity and credibility then City will be relegated next season. We've been told their case will be closed before the end of next season. Also United finally got the sporting structure they always needed and that will help them get into top four. Depends on though if they can also get Ugarte and De Ligt on top of the excellent Yoro and Zirkzee signings. Mount is also like a new signing after hardly playing last season and already Amad looks like he's going to hit the ground running and be "United's Saka" this season. So I believe most of United's problems last season will be be fixed and I predict they'll finish 3 after Arsenal and Villa. I think Liverpool is going to need a season to adjust to their new manager so they'll only finish fourth. But new signings or the sales etc. could easily alter my opinion before the season starts.

I agree. Thing is, 8 into 6 doesn't go - the big 6 + Newcaslte & Villa are battling it out for the coveted Top 6 positions, so someone will fail (or rather two will). United will be Top 6 IMO - hope they are, not that I support them. Have a feeling that Newcastle will do worse this season than last.

As a Forest fan, I still think that we shall be Bottom 6 for 90% of the season - but I don't think we'll go down - think Leicester, SOuthamnpton, Ipswich, Brentford, Everton & Forest will be the Bottom 6 - Ipswich will need to have a good start or they might get discouraged early on - Leicester might start on -6 points (hopefully) .
